Family Friendly Fun in Phillip Island

Comfortable retro 3 bedroom family home in a great location.
The perfect base to explore the Island with the family, or just kick back and relax.

"Our Beach House" is located in the centre of Cowes.
- An easy 5min walk to beautiful Cowes Beach.
- Close to main shopping strip, with multiple eating out options and 3 supermarkets.

Please contact us _before_ you make a booking request.

The house is best suited for single family accommodation (can sleep up to 6 guests). As there are stairs, the house is best suited for ages 5+
- Two bedrooms (1 queen, 1 dbl) in main house.
- Seperate upstairs retro cabin (detached from main house) for the kids (aged 10-up) with twin bunks (4 beds), couches, TV and DVD player.

- Open-plan ground floor, with kitchen, dining, living and pool table.
- Relax on front deck, have a BBQ and watch the Galahs and rabbits.
- Playground, skate park and footy oval nearby for kids.
- Leafy, fenced pet-friendly back yard, with large Springfree Trampoline.
- No Wi-fi

- Split System aircon and fan for Summer, cozy wood burning heater for Winter.
- Self contained kitchen.
- Washing machine, iron & ironing board.
- Parking for two cars out front.

Please BYO sheets, pillowcases and towels.

Not suitable for parties or large celebrations.
No smoking.

There are side gates that fence off the backyard, but no guarantee can be given that an "escape" may not occur. The fences are approximately 1m high so best suited for smaller dogs or dogs that don't jump.

We have a 2-5 night minimum stay.
3 night minimum for long weekends and some events.
5 night minimum during school holidays.

The house was perfect for us with tween children. The kids enjoyed their own space and were able to find things to do during down time. There was enough space for backyard cricket when friends visited and the pool table was a great source of fun. The house was clean, had all the kitchen equipment needed to cook at home and we enjoyed the relaxing inside and outdoor seating areas when friends popped in. The location was great as we could walk to the Main Street and foreshore easily. We would definitely love to come back again next time we come to the Island.

Great stay in Cowes

We stayed for a week to go sailing with the Cowes Yacht Club. The house is conveniently located and a good size for us including the dog (secure yard). It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay!

Great location!

A cosy, clean holiday house that has everything you’ll need. It has a large backyard for dogs and is in walking distance to everything. Would definitely book again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great location and family friendly

It was really nice and accurate like they mentioned. The owners allowed early checkin and late checkout since no one was arriving the day we checked out. Located in one of the best places of cowes close to beach, restaurants and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay

Great location, wonderful stay

We had a lovely time at this house. the location was fantastic, easy walking distance to Cowes. We brought our dog and she loved the back garden. We had a lot of fun playing table tennis. All round great stay. Would definitely recommend.

Loved our stay!

We loved this spot! Brought our 2 little dogs and two teens and it was a lovely home away from home. Lots of thoughtful touches, very well provided with comfy beds, well supplied kitchen, aircon, hot showers with great water pressure, a nice selection of dvd’s and books and my teens loved the pool table. Short walk into Cowes! We would love to stay again in the future.

This property suited our family needs perfectly & would stay again. Upstairs bedroom is more suitable for older children or family of 4 with smaller children. Great location too 😀

Just what I needed.

I needed a clean, warm, fully functioning house close to the middle of town. This is exactly what I got, property was exactly as described and the owners a pleasure to deal with.

Great house, great location

Property had everything we needed for a week in Cowes with family and our dog. Short drive to beach, shops and dining. Backyard secure and shady. Kids loved the trampoline and table tennis. The extension bedroom was great. Well equipped kitchen and laundry. Couch was a bit saggy but not too bad. Would definitely stay again.

Good Little Place

Pros: Great location is central to everything. Owners Friendly and Supportive Good Heating and Cooling Clean Good place to enjoy a holiday with your dogs Good to see Rabbits and birds in the mornings Cons: Rusted caddy in shower and Dish rack Mouldy Piece of Food that was left in the fridge. Made House stink. Gates too low for some dogs and kids Backyard and side of house had lots of old rotten building materials which were sharp so unsafe for dogs and kids Tree off cuts piled in corner somethings need updating like curtains Couches need upgrading Back step to get into the house was a little dangerous as it is a trip hazard. Steps to go up stairs were very wobbly Rules on fridge need to be updated Overall We would stay again if the backyard was more tidy

Short break at Cowes

Positives: a pleasant and well equipped holiday cottage in a very good location near shops and beach. Our two dogs loved the secure back yard. Bigger dogs may jump the gates - approx 80cm high. Negatives: house needs dusting and vacuuming. Shower arm needs new washers - leaked and would not stay up. Springs gone in couch.

Location great, accommodation average.

The location of the property was great - close to the beach and local town centre. Unfortunately the property itself was quite disappointing. The accommodation looked like it needed a thorough clean. It appeared to be dirty, with cobwebs and sticky surfaces. The fridge and microwave could have use a good scrub. Only one sanitiser wipe was provided. The couches could do with an upgrade - sagging and very uncomfortable (terrible for your posture). The property is advertised as being fully fenced and dog friendly; however, the low height of the side gates means that any dog larger than a toy/small size can easily escape. Would also recommend bringing your own DVDs if you plan to relax with a movie as many of those available were scratched and unable to be used. Also, the key to the front door kept jamming and we were concerned it may break.

Clean homey…. Miss mash of furniture … very 70’s … very musty … not good for asthmatics…..close to supermarkets … a good walk to beach too far if very hot . Lots of activities for children …. Would feel comfortable for active children ….. can see a market for families …. But needs up dating

Lovely coastal property

My mother and I were very comfortable staying in this lovely home. It has everything you need for a weekend getaway. Perfect for us with our little dog, lots of garden for him to roam around. Excellent nights sleep. Would definitely recommend.

Family Friendly and great Location

Simple house with all the creature comforts a small family needs. Great for kids of all ages with a small pool table, Lego set and heaps board games and books. There is an awesome trampoline in the back and a seperate 3rd bedroom which is perfect for teenagers or even adults wanting a retreat from the kids playing. Great small fireplace and split system makes it a great place to stay all year round. The location is amazing, short walk to the main street of Cowes, parks and beach. Only downfalls were the Queen and Double bed mattresses were rather old and uncomfortable, there is only a single sink in the kitchen and we had to buy a big pot to boil water for pasta and then found there was no ladel.
