Ground floor apartment, private garden, opposite park close to Scarborough Beach
The ground floor accommodation comprises two large bedrooms with ceiling fans & built-in robes, bathroom with a separate bath & shower, separate toilet, laundry with a washing machine & dryer. Open plan living/meals area with a new large kitchenette, split reverse cycle air-conditioning/heating & featuring a gas cook-top/electric oven, pantry and a microwave. Outdoors has an undercover brick-paved patio with table & chairs to experience the bird-life in a fully reticulated tropical garden setting. The street entry is via a secure common foyer with dead-locked fly screen and double front doors.
Great host. Plenty of room in the apartment with everything you need. Doubleview well positioned in Perth for everywhere we needed to visit. Good restaurants IGA and coffee shops within easy walking distance. Thanks for having us.
Parking is available, but also convenient to Transit if you donât have a vehicle. The back garden is a relaxing place to sit or to enjoy a meal. Ric was there to meet me and show me around when I arrived. Enjoyed my stay.
The rental is located in a great area. Close to beaches, shops, restaurants and the City. Nice private back area to relax. The only things missing were a dish washer and a BBQ. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay.
Spacious accommodation with great outside area. Super location just off the main road to the beach. Parking was great under the shade of a tree. Property was equipped with everything we needed including hairdryer and iron!
This property is very well managed, clean and has a lovely feel to it. We loved sitting outside in the backyard amongst the beautiful plants. House had everything we needed including plenty of towels, utensils, basic condiments and washing powder. Was also in a good location as you can walk to coffee shops & close proximity to Scarborough beach and shops. Richard was also very responsive and answered any questions we had. Would stay again!
Property was welcoming and very relaxing atmosphere. Cleanliness of the rugs, cushions and Doona was disappointing. Also lighting was poor. Previous reviews mentioned these items but sadly the items listed were not cleaned. Washer and dryer were a bonus.
Wish we had gone there in the first place. Richard was easy to contact and entry was easy. The accommodation was very clean and plenty of space. There is also a second bedroom with 3 single beds and the kitchen was well stocked. Bed was very comfortable with lots of storage space. Bath room facilities were also top-notch. Good access to freeways, beaches, restaurants etc on a quiet street. Not too far from City and coastal drive to Fremantle. WiFi reception excellent. Great place to stay.
We had a few days between house sitting assignments & found this apartment. The price was right, apartment was clean, in a convenient location & was as depicted on the website. Kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, crockery & cooking utensils. Ric, the host, was easy to communicate with. Would stay again if & when the occasion arose & the apartment was available.

Primary issue is that on two nights during the first 10 days of our stay somebody was walking down the side of the house ( no public access) looking in the bedroom windows in the middle of the night. I was persuaded that i had made a mistake on the first occasion. On the second occasion a man was observed looking into the bedroom window of my teenage son at 03.30 am. This person scuttled of when he realised he had been seen. I did not feel safe to stay any longer and so despite having paid for 3 weeks i had to leave more than a week early. I reported this to the police and would not recommend for women with children. Sadly was unable to make contact with Vrbo through the app as the chat bot did not have the right answers and the app said keep trying we are very busy ( over xmas) for several days. Despite the fact that we needed help in Australia from them. Property owner said he was sorry i was scared bug that nobody else had previously said they were scared!
When we first arrived i did not think the place was clean, however on closer inspection there are 2 rugs in the living area + kitchen which need replacing which made the place look grubby it was actually very clean aside the rugs. The sofa needs replacing as the seat has collapsed.
Would not recommend sadly.
Richard is an awesome host and made us feel at home immediately. The apartment is as described and close to everything. We needed an interim place to stay until our fultime rental was available, and would recommend this place to families in the same situation, or just visitors on vacation.
Beautiful clean lower ground home . Lots of nice homely touches and lots of little things supplied. Beautiful garden to admire and very close to great shopping and beautiful beach. Was a very pleasant stay! And landlord was very easy and welcoming but provided all privacy we required.

I must have daily contact with the water whether it be laps of the famous Scarborough pool or a surf , swim or walk along the local beach only two kms away. I love the Indian Ocean sunsets and the fresh local seafood enjoying the variety of nearby restaurants, bars and cafes. I love to share my local knowledge and will go out of my way to show you the hidden treasures! Doubleview is a quiet, coastal suburb and as the name suggests has views of Perth city and the hills to the east and sea views to the west. The best time of year here is Autumn - March , April, May with balmy sunny days and cooler evenings ideal for relaxing down the beach or in the glorious Swan River.
