Christmas Stay

The house was cozy. The room with the king size bed was a little hard to get in and out of on one side. Kitchen was easy to work in, lots of pots and pans, lots of cupboard space to store everything. lots of parking in the driveway. Neighborhood was quiet.Only downside was when we arrived, the sidewalk and steps to the entrance in the back was not cleared of snow and ice. We ran out to buy some de-icing salt so we could use the steps, there was 2" of ice on the steps, deck and walkway. Took another day of more salt and chipping on our end to get that clear and the entry way.

Gem in Lancaster, NY

We have one of the best rental experiences that I can recall during our stay in Lancaster. Four of us came in to go to a bills game and the location couldn’t have been any more perfect with convenience to both the stadium, grocery stores and restaurants, the airport and Buffalo and the surrounding area. The house was a great size with the bedroom, set up and included all of the needed kitchen, utensils and coffee maker, etc.. We actually never had to contact the owner as they had everything set-up for easy entry with a guest guide and clear instructions. It was a perfect location and home for everything we planned to do during our 4 night stay! Highly recommend!

Great house, with a few caveats

This property can be a great choice, so long as you're OK with a few downsides. First, the good: The house is clean, spacious, and a short drive from the airport. The host is responsive to texts and let us check in several hours early, which we really appreciated. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a closet full of high quality toys, which our 4 and 7 year old kids loved. The biggest downside is that the neighborhood is very noisy with the nearby airport and train tracks. Loud planes are constantly heard taking off and landing. Trains pass through the area at regular intervals, sounding loud air horns as they pass by. There was also a different loud air horn that I heard periodically that I couldn't identify the source of (maybe a local fire station?). So, if you're a light sleeper, or quiet is very important to you, this might not be the best property. The other issue with the house is the numerous low ceilings. I'm 6'1 and I was constantly hitting my head in the upstairs bathroom and coming up/down the various stairs. If the noise and low ceilings are something you can live with, then this clean, spacious house is a great choice.

Great Stay

Property was exactly as advertised. Great location. Plenty of room for 5 adults and two kids. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Couple of small complaints. Couch in TV room was hard as a rock and the lawn needed mowing so could not enjoy the very nice yard. Other than that great stay.

Nice house with good location

This house was clean and has everything we needed. Plenty of space to spread out a bit. It was a nice neighborhood with a downtown area to walk to for bakery, ice cream and coffe/beer.

Pleasant but hot

The house is charming, SUPER clean, in an adorable neighborhood. Only downside is that it’s advertised as having central a/c, but there is no a/c upstairs where the bedrooms are. It was quite hot, my infant’s baby monitor read almost 80 at night.

Very clean, well equipped home, spacious home.

Sister trip to Buffalo and Niagara. 4 sisters and we enjoyed the property. coffee bar was nice, had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and house was very clean. Stairs were steep as noted but we managed and all in our 60’s and 70’s.’

Family time

We enjoyed our stay in the charming Village of Lancaster. The Vintage Maple is a lovely home that is clean, tastefully decorated, and has plenty of space to spread out. It was a good fit for our group, but it would not be a good option for anyone with mobility issues, as the stairs are steep. The queen bed was comfortable, but others in our party found the king bed uncomfortable. The location of the property was very convenient for our trip.

Great meeting spot with friends

Very happy with our stay here. The rooms were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The house was very clean and in a nice neighborhood with sidewalks and walking distance to stores, cafes, parks. The living room and den were great for allowing space for the kids to hang out in one area and the adults in another.

Perfect Accomodation

We found ourselves needing to travel to the Buffalo area for a wedding. We truly could not have had any better accommodations for our family and our family friends who stayed with us. The house was immaculate upon arrival and stocked with everything you could possibly think of without being cluttered or overwhelming. The layout of the house was great with plenty of space in the eat in kitchen and 2 rooms to hangout in on the first floor, along with wonderfully sized bedrooms on the second floor. I would highly recommend staying here if you do have kids as it was a very kid friendly place (complete with a baby gate, high chair, and stroller if needed!) Host was also incredibly understanding about our 1 year old knocking a picture off the wall. The neighborhood was very quiet and had great access to all that we needed (Niagara, Target, surrounding towns, Downtown Buffalo, etc) If we ever find ourselves back in the Buffalo area again, we will be staying here, and also recommending to anyone we know.

Everything We Needed

My husband and I stayed at this adorable vintage home with my daughter, her husband and three children, ages 4 and under, in order for them to see their great aunt and great grandparents for a weekend. We were pleasantly surprised to find the house had everything we needed for a lovely stay. The house was well stocked with staples and it worked out perfectly. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the evening after the youngsters were in bed. Would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises.

Property was perfect…nice home. As stated in listing..stairs are very steep but ok to navigate holding on to railing. Back deck very comfortable. Only issue is location is a distance from south towns and north towns as well City but manageable. Would stay there again..perfect size for the 6 of us.

Family reunion

Our family of 8 traveled to Buffalo for a family gathering. The house is located in a very pleasant neighborhood where we felt safe and enjoyed walking. As for the house itself, it was built in 1890 and has been restored very nicely. The kitchen is fabulous, it is fully supplied with anything you might need to prepare for your family. It is air conditioned but the upstairs can get a little warm during the summer. However, there are extra fans in each bedroom. A lovely destination.

Fantastic place

We loved our stay here. We came to Buffalo for my cousins wedding where my daughter was the flower girl and we decided to make it a family vacation. We also have 2 1/2 year old boy girl twins and the house was perfect. It was close to everything we went to. Zoo, falls, the botanical gardens where the wedding was and the kids museums. Also we took a drive to splash lagoon which was only 1 30 mins away. If we go to buffalo again we would definitely stay here again.

Property was dated (old) but in excellent condition, well furnished, very clean, and stocked with everything you could possibly need or want. Would stay there again!
