Amazing transaction, fantastic communication and when we arrived from travelling 12hr aircon was on for us and house was amazing. The communication between myself and host was great. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Overall the only negative for this place was the neighbourhood, but this didnt affect our stay. The house was well presented, accurate for the listing and perfect for what we needed.
We wanted to find a convenient and pet friendly house for a very short sleep and shower before hitting the road again. This place perfectly fitted the requirements and is recommended.
Great property. Really well equipped to cater for families. Everything you could need. Communication from owners was fabulous and they offered extra assistance if we needed it when we unexpectedly arrived late. Well secured. Despite reading reviews saying it was a noisy area , we found it quiet. Close to everything we needed and super comfortable for 6 of us to stay! Would not hesitate to book again when in the area!
Clean three bedroom house on Eastern side of city.
All utilities available. Second toilet in laundry. Small kitchen. Big lounge room. Hot water never ran out.
My kids and husband were anxious with the front door not being able to lock via normal lock nor deadlock due to damaged door from potentially being forced open or kicked in forcibly. Despite adjusting the fridge several times over the course of a few hours, we could not get the settings to keep our drinks and food cold. there was stains on one of the bed coverings. Needless to say, we did not feel overly-comfortable staying in this accommodation nor did we get much sleep due to being anxious over not having a locked front door which was near the kids' bedrooms.
I feel sorry for the owners in that they have invested good money in what is a decent and comfortable 3 bed house.
Unbeknownst to us when we booked and unfortunately for the owners, the house is in a terrible part of Dubbo.
We spent an entire night creeping from window to window, looking under the almost closed shutters, watching an ongoing brawl that would blow up then subside and blow up again, lots of yelling, disgusting abuse, fowl language, disturbing threats of burying people, breaking glass, cars coming and going, all directly across the street. Only after the police arrived at 5am did we get to sleep for a couple of hours, exhausted.
Apart from being concerned for our own safety, we were also worried about the cars which we had parked in the driveway behind the padlocked gates. We heard the gates rattled a couple of times and a comment "there's cars in there". Fortunately the cars were not taken or damaged by projectiles.
Crimsafe doors, shuttered windows and padlocked gates gave little reassurance, not enough to feel safe and certainly not enough to allow us to sleep.
Pros:
- great communication from property owner
- well stocked with things from high chair and cot, to shampoo / conditioner and suncream
- two comfortable beds
- space as described
Cons:
- mattress in biggest bedroom was poor (very creaky and quite uncomfortable)
- door to biggest bedroom wouldn't close
- neighbourhood not great, per other reviews, though did not present us any problems.
- only one pillow per person
The house is very convenient for a larger family with extra fold out couch, little fold out bed, extra blankets etc. Bathroom looks freshly renovated which was very pleasant. Backyard great for dogs of all sizes. Host very polite and quick to reply. The only thing we felt was missing was a doggy door in the back door (not a massive issue - it would just be more convenient) and the neighbourhood is a little rough (not the host's fault obviously). Over all we had a good stay :) Thank you
Stopped in Dubbo with my family to visit the zoo. Poor timing with the floods but the house was warm and dry. Plenty of kitchen equipment to cook basics. Beds were comfy and warm.
Arrived at night. Had difficulty opening gates to secure my car
While groups of dodgy people
Hovered in close proximity.
Seemed a very dodgy neighbour hood with lots of nocturnal activity. Did not feel comfortable.
House well secured with locks and shuttered windows
No carport or garage
Long grass in backyard.
House very clean with good bedding and amenities. Very good inside. Woken up during night with noise from nearby home.
Although house very good
Would not recommend
The house is clean and big enough for a few people. It pays to read the description carefully as it does say 3 bed 2 bath as it is 1 bathroom and a loo in the outside laundry which was fine as there weren't a lot of us.
I wouldn't park on the street in this part of town and I have a large car so was difficult to fit it in. The gates weren't great but I am from a farm and used to dealing with gates.
Overall the place was fine for a few days especially for the price.
Getting into the property was easy enough except for a problem with the lock but they were able to come straight around and help us get in. House was nice on the inside but yard not as nice. Fence bit big for small dogs but we had outside play pen for our pup so that was fine. Heating the house was pretty good except in the bathroom. Having two toilets was handy as well.
The house is located in an outer suburb of Dubbo and is well renovated with 3 bedrooms and a cosy open concept room with lounge, dining and a kitchen. There is also a laundry and cloth-line. We had plenty of space for our family of 5.
