Family+Friends Weekend

We stayed for three nights. The unit is spacious and has direct access to the beach. Mareazul is a bit dated, but it is family friendly and well kept.

Family vacation

Everything was great. Location was the best. Views from giant porch were beautiful and breezy. Beds were super comfortable. Host went out of their way to provide porta cribs and high chair for little ones. We hopefully will be back.

Great condo and great service

We traveled with another family for spring break and this condo was perfect for the 7 of us. The resort has an amazing pool and great beach. There are also two restaurants, one on the beach for breakfast and lunch, and an outdoor restaurant for dinner. Both served a variety of good dining choices. The concierge, Yasmin, was a huge help both before and during our stay. Although the condo was beautiful and updated, the resort itself is a little dated (other than the amazing pool). It is also very quiet and secluded, being about a 2 mile walk to the 5th avenue strip and downtown attractions.

Lovely vacation

The quiet resort with pool, beach and restaurants on sight makes it easy for a multigenerational family with people on different schedules and coming from different time zones. It was great to have communal space but also enough room that we weren't on top of each other. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which was a bonus. The place was very clean. There were enough beach towels (which we've found isn't always the case when places say they provide towels). There are black out curtains, fans in all rooms and the beds are very comfortable. The site says the pool has "jacuzzi sections"- these are round like jacuzzis and have jets, but the water isn't any warmer, which was a big disappointment. All of the staff we encountered were lovely. I didn't realize how much of an opportunity I'd have to use Spanish. I thought the Cancun area meant basically everyone was fluent in English. Not the case at all. The beach is large and quiet. Lots of room for kids to play. We were disappointed by how relatively cold it was though. Half the days we were there it was cloudy, super windy, and highs only in the high 70s. The break was way too strong for kids or grandparents to swim. We would have been happy to pay a little more to have some basics like dish and laundry detergent on arrival. There weren't basic pantry items (not even salt). The numbers provided by the property management company were a little unclear. One didn't respond and the other took a long time. However, they let us check out late which was really wonderful because our flight wasn't until the evening.

Pero sin duda es un lindísimo lugar para alojarse

We picked the place because of a recommendation by a friend and were not disappointed. The place was very clean, calm and the apartment was very spacious as well as the complex being very safe. We enjoyed the beach and it was great to have a restaurant onsite, with the one closer to the beach having just opened.A few minor things that could make it even better: the modular sofa is pretty uncomfortable to sit in. It would be great to have shower gel and shampoo in the bathrooms, as well as a few more essentials such as laundry detergent and kitchen cloths.
