The apartment itself is well organised, clean and has every utility needed. The pool is communal but my family and I rarely saw anyone else using it. The apartment itself is centred to everything. The beach is a 10 minute drive away and a 2 minute walk to the medieval castle which has lovely shops and restaurants. Overall a really enjoyable experience and I would 100% stay here again.
We have just returned from this charming apartment overlooking the canal, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was immaculately clean, and with two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and double bedroom and bathroom downstairs, ideal for a family or couples. The manager responded quickly to messages when we had a little trouble with an over filling loo, and met us at the start and end of our month at the time arranged. The shared pool was a bonus, and we often had it almost to ourselves. Only ten minutes to the beach, we spent most days in Le Grau du Roi, and did very little sight seeing! It was so hot! However we know the area well and it really has something for everyone, from big cities to fun fairs. Restaurants around Aigues Mortes need exploring for yourselves, but local supermarkets and markets ensure plenty of ingredients for those who prefer to cook in the well equipped kitchen. I certainly would recommend this property.
We have spent 5 days in this very nice appartment which is very well located - just a 5 minutes walk from the magnificent old town of Aigues-Mortes. The kitchen is very well equipped but unfortunately it's not enough space to store groceries. The storage of our luggage was also a little difficult. Also the space to have breakfast and dinner with 5 persons is a little narrow. But most of all we were missing the Airconditioning, We have been there during a few very hot July days and even the fans weren't able to cool down...
But overall we had a great time in this magnificent area! We enjoyed the beaches (especially L' Espiguette) and the natural Reserve as well as a renting a boat to cross the Canal. A great supermarket is a 2 minutes drive away. The Parking in the garage is a great plus - but ask for the maximum high before ;-)
Dear Caroline: Thank you very much for letting us stay in your apartment - wishing you all the best!
Reicht also fĂŒr ein par Tage.
A very nice apartment. There were six of us (2 adults and 4 children). There was enough space. The old town is only a five minute walk away. The beach is also very easy to reach by car. Many thanks for everything!
We're a family with 3 young children and really enjoyed our stay here.
The location is great - three minutes' walk from the gates of the old walled city (just over the bridge); with the walled city containing a large number of reasonable restaurants and with a warm atmosphere both in the day and in the evening. It's also two minutes drive to the nearest supermarket, and a short walk to the local tennis courts. And the coast is close, with some great beaches within 10 to 25 minutes from the apartment.
The facilities are good. The swimming pool is kept up well and we used it every day (most of the time on our own). The underground parking was very useful. The apartment was well equiped so that we were able to prepare most of our meals at the apartment. And, while the weather got quite hot when we were there in late July, the apartment is equipped with good fans and the apartment stayed cooler most of the time than outside, and the balcony was very well used to enjoy the warm summer evenings!
The things to do in the area are also superb, from a really good Roman museum and monuments in Arles (40 minutes drive) to the art museum and zoo in Montpelier (30 minutes drive) to Nimes (40 minutes) and the pont du Gard (50 minutes.) I would also recommend staying in Aigues-Mortes rather than on the coast because the old town felt much more relaxed and with a more genuine character than the nearby coastal towns.
So, overall, we thought that this was a great value apartment that we would recommend.
Thank you for the very nice holiday!
