Orchard Cottage is a two storey cottage set in the orchard of Little Forrest. The cottage has a warm, rustic ambience and is comfortable for groups up to four people. Downstairs is a wonderful social area, consisting of the kitchen and living area. Combined with a wood heater, this is the perfect area to curl up with a book or to watch a movie. Upstairs is a large combined sleeping area with bathroom.

Where will I be?

Orchard Cottage is located within the Little Forest complex, a collection of 7 cottages spread across 42 acres of grounds. Your cottage will have its own private spaces, but please be aware that other guests may be around as well. There are two other cottages as well as the Angas Carriage in immediate proximity to your cottage so please do expect to occasionally see your neighbours. Communal spaces include the lawns, gardens, driveway and trails, but you will have plenty of privacy as well. The Little Forest complex has a bush setting and is circled on one side by the Sydney - Melbourne railway line. As a result, trains are audible at times, and for any kids, part of the fun! Little Forest also has various trails throughout its 42 acres, but please keep children supervised at all times due to wildlife, unfenced dams and trains.

Orchard Cottage has a wonderful cozy feel to it and is a wonderful retreat to come home to after a day exploring the Southern Highlands.

How is the property laid out?

Orchard Cottage is reached down a tree-lined country drive way. You approach the house through beautiful gardens and enter into a compact living area and country kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, cooktop, dishwasher, microwave and a coffee machine that is compatible with Nespresso pods. Upstairs is the bedroom with queen bed and two single beds. The bathroom is also located upstairs.

Wi-Fi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV will I have it?

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. Please note that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that Wi-Fi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If Wi-Fi is important, please therefore always have a backup plan.

What about outdoors?

Orchard Cottage is surrounded by lawns and gardens that are open for guests to use. The house is part of a larger 40 acre property which includes bush trails for guests to explore. Please be aware that there is an unfenced dam on the property so children must be supervised at all times.

Please note that the tap water in the community BBQ area is not drinkable. This water comes from the dam and is not treated, please do not drink it under any circumstances. The water in Orchard Cottage is safe to drink.

Keeping warm or keeping cool?

Orchard Cottage has a slow combustion fireplace downstairs and a reverse cycle air conditioner upstairs.

What about sheets, towels and other supplies?

High quality sheets and towels are provided at Orchard Cottage.

Toilet paper, kitchen soaps, guest soaps and some other supplies are also provided, but please be prepared to top up during your stay as needed. Regarding food, condiments and the like, please plan to bring everything you need. For safety and hygiene reasons, our houses generally do not supply food items.

Parking for cars, boats etc?

There is an off street open air driveway parking space immediately outside Orchard Cottage.

Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

Sorry, Orchard Cottage is not a pet friendly property.

What are the minimum stay rules?

- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights

Are there any special Summer Season rules?

Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
