Peaceful Lake Views and Perfect Getaway Spot

The view of the lake from the house was absolutely stunning—perfect for watching sunsets right from the dock. The house had everything we needed to cook great grilled dinners, and we really appreciated the cozy touches like board games and puzzles. One of us even finished a 500-piece puzzle during a storm that briefly knocked out the power. Even then, the setting made it feel like part of the adventure. A peaceful, well-equipped retreat in a beautiful spot.

Quiet lake view property

Well maintained and nicely equipped country cottage. A lot of amenities provided for guests entertainment.We would highly recommend this property and make a return visit ourselves.

Beautiful property and view!

The online pictures of this property were beautiful, and the property did not disappoint! It was clean, it was well stocked with kitchenware, the view is breathtaking. It was a perfect 3 day getaway for 4 long-time friends.

SPECTACULAR - SPECTACULAR

Absolutely adorable cinder block cottage located about 30 min away from the nearest stores, well off any main roads, and surrounded by a few quiet neighbors. Local flora and fauna abound. We stayed 2-21-25 through 2-24-25, and the temps outside were well below freezing. The home is heated by three mini splits, and two space heaters. The inside temp never got above 64*, so if you can't tolerate that, make that a consideration when you plan your visit. With the inside temp being so cool, and the house having concrete slab floors, be sure you pack slippers, socks, and shower shoes. BRRR...Those floors were freezing!!! Aside from the low inside temp, our stay was absolutely lovely. Entering and accessing the porch was easily navigable for my sister who uses a wheelchair. Though accessing the pier was NOT an option due to the sloping ground. Let me end by saying "THAT VIEW!"! Oh, my goodness!! The sunrises, sunsets, and the moon hanging, all happen in view of the decks of this lovely home. AND THEY WERE STUNNING!!! I wish I could share the photos I snapped. I would 10/10 recommend this location for these reasons, and many others. The host was great at communication, self-check in went seamlessly. BOOK IT!! You won't regret it, IF you're looking for peace and quiet, stellar views, being off the beaten path, but close enough to town should you NEED to go. You won't want to leave this cabin. :)

Reading Weekend

My girlfriends and I had an absolutely lovely stay. The property blew us away as soon as we arrived, and it continued to with each sunrise and sunset. I would definitely return to this property. My only concern was the cleaning fee + the list of what to do before checkout. I would have much preferred to spend the end of our trip relaxing outside than cleaning the house for the cleaner.

Horrible experience with bugs. Left after 2nights out of 5. Were compensated $54 out of $1000 by Evolve and owner who works there-stay away from them!!! They admitted there were bugs but only compensated us this!!! Book direct with vrbo only as they tried to help us. Property is much older then photos. Bathroom is ancient. Sadly, a terrible 30th anniversary for us.

JUST WHAT WE NEEDED

The location of this property was great but the view was even better. Gorgeous! The dock is right down the hill, easily accessible and it was perfect for fishing. We loved that there were kayaks available for us to use and also that the house was stocked like a normal house with pots and pans and dishes and spices. It was very clean and just a perfect place to stay. Beds could have been more comfy but that is the only flaw I seen. Great place. Will go back.

Great vacation cabin

This place is wonderful! We had a good time swimming, fishing, kayaking, and enjoying beautiful views from the cabin. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The snacks and extras were truly appreciated. Would definitely come back again.

Nice, Beautiful views, convenient boat ramp. I would suggest putting a roof over outside deck, so you could sit out when it’s raining. Mini blinds on the left side of sunroom so neighbors can’t look in. If there’s a cleaning fee why should guests wash dishes ?

Beautiful location!!

This cabin was the perfect weekend get away for my wife and I! The views were absolutely stunning and the cabin was quaint and well stocked. My only recommendation is to make sure you have what you need before arriving because it’s out of the way and not near any stores!

Peace and quiet

This place was off the beaten path. Location was perfect. Real close to the water with amazing sunsets and sun rises. We were fortunate to be there for a full moon. Caught alot of fish and alot of sun. Highly recommend to get away from the rat race.

Amazing

Fantastic views of sunset, and sunrise . Felt like my husband and I were in paradise. So tranquil and relaxing. . House was clean and had all the basic necessities that we needed. Host was friendly and helpful. The 4th of July fireworks were amazing over the Lake. Looking forward to booking for our anniversary next year.

Wonderful getaway

We had a great time on Kentucky Lake. The cabin was exactly as it is shown in the photos. Very clean, beds are comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. The view was beautiful. We fished both off the dock and on the lake in our boat. The boat ramp is close by.

photos did not tell the whole story

Did not know there would be steps down from the parking area to the cottage. We are both handicapped so it was difficult to unload our luggage etc and get down to the front door. The actual patio furniture was not the same as the photos showed. Pluses were the cottage was clean and the view of the lake was amazing. We enjoyed the variety of birds in the trees.

Beautiful Lake View

We were drawn to location because of the view, ability to fish and what we thought was a semi private location. Houses were very close together and both sides have very small children and every tantrum, scream, crying session just echoed. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed doing some fishing. Felt the property needed some updating to make it have that comfy relaxing feeling, especially the bathroom, home definitely had a musty smell understandably because of being older and near the water.My biggest issue was the all that had to be done at check out with the large fees that are charged for cleaning etc felt it was a bit much to ask the guest to do. We would likely not stay there again and we did leave a day early, but I have no doubt that many people have and will love this spot unfortunately we are not in that group.

Enjoyed our stay

We had a peaceful and relaxing weekend. The house was well stocked with pretty much everything you might need. We fished off the dock and caught a wide variety of fish, but we had better luck and caught larger fish in the evening. A huge storm came through and the host kept in contact to make sure we were ok. We ended our stay short because of the county wide loss of power but definitely plan on coming back.
