We (extended family of about 27, (including 5 little ones) stayed at all 7 cottages and the Church house for a weeklong family gathering post our son's wedding in Phila. Every single thing about the accommodations, location, hosts, setting was perfect. each family had the space they needed and we also were able to gather for family meals on the porch of the big house in the evening. Folks were well occupied fishing, lounging, and hiking while we also had plenty of relaxed time to simply connect amidst the calming and sweet landscape. Val and Ross were extremely responsive and attentive hosts and shared stories that gave the place a sense of meaning. Now, with the next generation growing into young families, it was the ideal way to holiday together without being in one another's way. Can't say enough about the thought and care that went into every element of the resort, bravo...well done!

Delightful & quiet escape!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in September ’21. Valerie and Ross met us upon arrival and made us feel at home. The cottage was clean and spacious with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable bed. We strolled the property in the mornings and enjoyed the quiet of our cottage in the evenings. We recommend Split Creek Preserve for anyone looking for a delightful home away from home. We look forward to visiting again!

Cottage was beautiful, clean, and had everything you could need for a weekend getaway. The grounds with beautifully kept and peaceful. With the lake, stream, ducks and swan, we couldn't of asked for a better place to spend of weekend away. Ross and Valerie thank you!

We definitely recommend this quiet getaway!

We absolutely loved staying in this cabin! It was everything we were looking for in a getaway from the City. Valerie and Ross were very kind and recommended us to go to a nearby winery that was definitely a weekend highlight. The cabin was very clean and had such amazing scenery! A great place to stay.

Dream Cottage By a Beautiful Creek

Wow, rarely does a place exceed my expectations, but this cottage was so comfortable and cozy -- and also private -- with a nice little path behind it to the big, beautiful trout stream with crystal clear water! Perfect spot to take my cup of coffee in the morning and enjoy the tranquility of the rushing water. Peace and quiet. If you go down the lane and make another right, you'll find another beautiful spot, the bridge. We took some awesome walks along the sides of the creek -- it's beautiful back in there, and you can't really get lost. Another great walk is down the road to the old grist mill ruins -- very cool, with some very old stone farmhouses nearby. I'd love to come back in other seasons and am sure I will. Thanks to the owners for creating a relaxing private getaway -- my girlfriend and I loved it.

Super pleasant

The cottage was a breath of fresh air, the peace and quiet a blessing for us . Easy to find the place. Nice hosts. Extremely clean , very nice interior and equipped with everything you need. Highly recommend the place .

Everything about the cottage was STUPENDOUS ! Beautiful, charming, just enough space for a couple. Clean and organized. Amenities were exactly what we wanted. Ross and Valerie are the perfect hosts !!!!!!!

Bright, Comfortable Cabin

Feels like an escape and a home at the same time. Bright and beautifully decorated, well situated. We ate at a local winery as well as cooked our own food in the well built kitchen, it was fully equipped. The hosts were very knowledgeable and gave us great tips on where to hike and dine.

Best house EVER!

Ross & Valerie are one of the nicest host that I've ever had and was really welcoming. My husband and I loved the house. It was really clean and had everything that you would need. There were somethings that the house had that I never got from any other house rentals. We only spend a weekend, but wish that we could have stayed longer.
