Les plafonds hauts et les accents de bois rustique font un nid douillet - mais avec toutes les commoditĂ©s modernes pour un confort propre. Le plan ouvert est aĂ©rĂ© et lumineux - avec six puits de lumiĂšre pour ajouter Ă  la disposition ensoleillĂ©e. Une lĂ©gĂšre vue sur l'eau rappelle que vous ĂȘtes au bord de l'eau.

Une grande chambre principale avec lit Queen et une plus petite chambre a (2) lits jumeaux - parfait pour les petites familles Ă  venir visiter - il y a mĂȘme un lit tout prĂȘt pour votre chien!

La propriĂ©tĂ© est construite sur une colline - donc un seul escalier jusqu'Ă  une terrasse spacieuse pour atteindre votre nid! Un immense pont fait une belle aire de jeu - avec accĂšs Ă  une petite cour. À quelques pas du village, de la marina et du sentier nature.

We came for a mother-daughter-granddaughter weekend together and we absolutely loved Barbara's place! It was even better in person than in the listing, more spacious and well appointed with Barbara's flair for decorating. And so many games and even art supplies in the desk. Although it was too cold to enjoy the patio, we could imagine a lovely afternoon enjoying the treetop view to the water. The location was perfect, walking distance to the Stony Creek Market for an excellent breakfast, to a small local beach, and to a wonderful walking trail. The mattress in the main bedroom, which was huge, seemed brand new and very comfortable. Everything in the rental appeared to be quite new with thoughtful details and interesting artwork throughout.

Every possible comfort provided in a stunningly tasteful setting - we keep coming back to this very special property. This was our 4th or 5th visit and it certainly will not be our last. Barbara is a wonderful host who really cares about her guests, and Stony Creek is a lovely community perfect for strolling while admiring sunsets over the Thimble Islands. Hopefully, our next visit is not too far off in the future.

Awesome property for a 12 night stay to visit family and friends

Came to the area with my two adult daughters and granddaughter to celebrate my mom’s 95th birthday! Then I got to visit with friends and my cousins. Everyone loved their stay at the Tree Fort. Will definitely want to visit and stay here again. Lovely accommodating host and beautiful and comfortable property. Thanks again!

What a beautiful little place! Where some hosts provide the basics needed, Barbara went above and beyond throughout every inch of the home. Everything was “above 5 stars”! From the Keurig coffee maker (along with coffees to choose), to lush towels in the bathroom, a dishwasher (yay!), extra comfy furniture to relax in and just beautiful decor, it was more than just a place to stay. It felt like home! Thank you for being so welcoming! We had a wonderful weekend!

The apartment was fantastic. The space was bigger than it looks, and the design was really inviting and welcoming. Our family of 4 was very comfortable. The location is also great - wish we’d been there during the summer season where more things were open. But I’d definitely come back!

The living room and kitchen were big and airy. The bathroom was updated. The whole house was absolutely spotless. Kitchen was fully stocked, though we didn't need to use anything. The communication was excellent. The manager was very accommodating. There is a train track nearby, but it wasn't a problem for us at night. Overall, we had a very good stay.

We stayed two days at the Tree House Suite. It was perfect for our needs, we loved the decor, and proximity for walking and trips to Branford. It is spacious, well stocked, with careful attention to little touches that made us feel welcome.

Barbara couldn’t be more accommodating, this is a terrific apartment that we love. Close to Quinnipiac University when visiting our daughter. It’s so nice to be able to bring our dogs and they love the enclosed deck to walk around!

Beautiful place - you can tell it was a labor of love. Host thought of everything. Comfortable, cozy and welcoming!!! The only thing I might have wanted to know about was that a train ran behind the property and woke me up several times during the night. I rarely get away and when I do, I really value peace and quiet. But, the host did provide earplugs, so if you are comfortable wearing, this won't be a problem.

As Branford natives, we both are very familiar with the local area and enjoy renovation and preservation projects, and are happy to share our tales of what we learned about our building's history and character. Both fans of Big East Basketball, Claudio is a Providence College Friar and Barbara is a Villanova Wildcat - so when it's March Madness, we are glued to the stats! After globetrotting in the yachting industry, Barbara's 15-year residence in Florida came to a halt when she relocated back to New England in 2008. As frequent vacation home renters ourselves, we know what travelers expect when they arrive at their destination: clean comfort.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We renovated Claudio's childhood home in this great New England town and know that the shoreline real estate here is HOT! Together we merged our skill-sets on the Stony Creek Depot project to showcase our design aesthetic, expand our retail vintage business and secure a home in a highly coveted neighborhood. Our guests can book short-term stays in the spacious residential space to enjoy this wonderful little coastal village. Residents and tourists take in the beautiful Thimble Island views and nature hikes that are just footsteps from the Depot's front door. We love Branford and consider ourselves lucky to get a footing in the Stony Creek village, where properties often remain in the same family for generations. We are dedicated to helping this property flourish as a vibrant part of the community since it has a 100+ year history of adapting to commercial and residential enjoyment.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This property retains the original flavor of an older, coastal New England home, while bringing in some of the modern comforts that we enjoy and guests will expect in a vacation rental. Without having direct water views we are able to keep the price point a bit lower than higher dollar properties footsteps away, making it a budget-friendly alternative to a generic hotel room. Because we are also pet-friendly and only require a 2-day minimum booking (not a full week), Stony Creek Depot is a great weekend getaway retreat. We love using this residential space while we run our onsite, street-front business and we hope that making it available for short-term rental will enable visitors to appreciate the charms of the Stony Creek village.
