Building situated perfectly on 42nd Street, 1 block to the beach and convention center and walking distance to a plethora of restaurants. This unit is the top floor north corner condo, perfectly situated across from the beach with a straight eye view to the ocean. Upgraded furnishings, custom interior paint and decor, custom murals, stainless steel major appliances, crown moldings. Enjoy the year-round amenities: fitness center, sauna, billiard room, tropical indoor/outdoor pool, 2 elevators, free in room wi-fi, 2 parking passes. Bed sizes include 1 Queen bed in master bedroom, 1 Pyramid bunk in guest bedroom, and a Queen sleep sofa. Guests supplies linens, towels, soaps and paper products. Washer and dryer in the unit for your convenience. Property rents mini weeks Thur/Sun in season and any 3 nights off season. Non-smoking/vaping. No pets, please. Our property owners do not permit group rentals to guests under the age of 25.

Basket Ball Tournament

The property was clean and everyone that we had to deal with was very professional. Here for a 3 day stay Grandson played in a basket ball tournament. This property was the perfect place to stay. Only 16 min from the sports center, convenient for everything,

Beautiful Location & Room Could Use some TLC / Cleaning

I'll start by saying that the condo listing and photos are exactly as listed, there are no surprises with decor, rooms or anything like that. Our first night there we made sure to check the room prior to putting our linens on the beds and unpacking, our first time using a VRBO and providing our own items so we wanted to be sure the room was in good condition/clean prior to doing so. All was well until the first night when we woke at 11pm for the restroom and found a bug on the wall, not a big deal bugs get in everywhere until we realized it was bed bug. We had cxld our prev. hotel due to the same issue reported so we were of course bothered, I didn't sleep most of the night due to nervousness and spent time going back over the room trying to make sure we didn't miss anything else..upon searching under furniture we saw that it doesn't look like there's been a vacuum or broom under the beds,dressers or couch for quite some time. There was a lot of dust, some dead bugs, a lot of crumbs and hair ..there was a vacuum in the closet that we used to do a quick once over because the bug issue bothered us. We contacted the host through VRBO and the messaged frequently, they wanted to send someone while we were there but decided to wait until after our stay was over. We initially really liked the property but it definitely needs to have a thorough cleaning done to it... we thankfully did not find any other bugs but that did unfortunately deter our impression for potential future stays.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I want to assure you that we and the owner take any mention of bedbugs very seriously. The owner was so concerned after hearing you mention bugs that he had the unit thoroughly treated by a licensed pest company and replaced all the bed linens with new. There was not evidence of bedbugs in the property but he did this because you saw something and he did not want to take any chances. He has stayed in the condo numerous times since your departure and is confident there are no issues.

Very clean and well maintained

Always love staying at the Makai!! Love the sunrises and coffee on the front deck. Loved sitting and watching the bikes go by. Very clean well maintained. Appliances are older but work as they should. Beds are a little hard for my liking but that's a personal preference. Thanks you for sharing your beach house!

Property was not clean

The furniture was worn and extremely dirty. Bathroom tub backed up after every use. Condensation in the master bedroom and bathroom while us the dryer. It made the walls wet and the floors slippery and water drip from the ceiling.

Did not disappoint

Everything went smoothly from booking to check out. Very clean. We were able to see the ocean from our balcony on the bay side. About a 5 minute walk to the beach with traffic.
