The Space:
This 2B/2B ground-floor condo offers guests an incredible getaway to the Mexican Caribbean. The condo complex, called El Faro, is located in the heart of Playa del Carmen just a block from the famous 5th Avenue. It’s a vacationer’s heaven. You won’t need a car at all. You can walk to just about everything up and down 5th Avenue or just relax at your condo, lounge and soak up the sun at the expansive pool just outside your door, or find that perfect sun lounger at the private beach in front of the complex.

The main spaces of the condo:
- Spacious beachfront condo with 2 comfortably-furnished bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.
- Open-plan living area for togetherness time or a dinner and movie night at home.
- Dining area that comfortably accommodates 6 for a sit-down meal.
- Direct access to the back patio with views and access to the pool and ocean.
- Ground floor patio has a dining and lounge area w/a BBQ grill and lush lovely views.

The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to go, featuring:
- Refrigerator/freezer
- Oven and stovetop
- Microwave
- Coffee maker, toaster, and blender
- All dishes, cookware, utensils, etc.

Playa’s famous 5th Avenue is just up the street from the condo building. You’ll find a Starbucks on the corner and everything you need is just a short walk to get to. Convenient stores, bars, restaurants, souvenir and boutique shops, outdoor malls, fruit stands, grocery shopping, pharmacies, tour operators, and more. There’s even a Walmart within walking distance!

There are also so many different things to see and do around Playa del Carmen -- everything from the beach and beach clubs, water sports like snorkeling, scuba, paddle boarding, and boating, eco-parks with underground rivers, ancient Mayan ruins, cenotes (natural sinkholes special to this area!), private boat/yacht and fishing tours, golfing, day trips to Tulum or Cancun, and so much more!

Getting Around:
There is one shared parking space available. The parking space can only accommodate small cars and small SUVs. No pick-ups, trucks or vans. We are not responsible if the car you bring does not fit the parking space. Luckily, however, the complex it’s centrally-located; you won’t even need a car. You can easily rent a bike or take a taxi or ‘colectivo’ (shared-ride vans) where you need to go. The home is about 49 km or 30 miles from the Cancun International Airport (CUN) and is located in El Faro Residences, downtown at 10th Street and the beach.

Here are some approximate estimations of the most visited/popular places in the Playa del Carmen/Riviera Maya area:

Other Things to Note:
El Faro Residences Administration requests a copy of the ID of all adult guests prior to your arrival. Access to the condo will not be granted unless this is provided in advance and no later than 1pm on the day of your check-in.

If you lose the key to the apartment, there is a $35 USD penalty (700 MXN).

No music is permitted after 11pm.

A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.

This 1033-square-foot (96-square-meter) condo has 2 furnished bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The place can accommodate 4 adults in beds and up to 2 children in the living room sofa bed. **If you would like to add 2 children to your reservation you must let us know in advance so we can update your reservation accordingly as it requires us sending an alteration request.**

Wi-Fi, cable/satellite TV, bed linens, and towels provided free for all guests during your stay.

Please remember, as indicated on the property listing, a daily allowance of 20Kw/Day of electricity is included for short term rentals. Additional consumption will be charged at 3.85 mxn / kw. Electricity is not included for bookings of 28 days or more. On arrival, our local team will take a meter reading, and again on departure. You will be billed after check out for any additional consumption. Help us save energy by using the AC only when needed, avoid leaving it on if you are not in the property and close all windows and doors when you use it.

There is no daily housekeeping service but if you'd like the placed clean, we can arrange that for an additional fee.

Please note that there is a mandatory cleaning service every from 21 nights on & every 21 days, at a charge of $50 USD. If your stay is between 21 and 42 nights, you'll be charged an additional $50; for stays between 42 and 63 nights, two cleaning fees ($100 total) will apply, and for every additional 21 nights thereafter, $50 will be charged.

We do supply some bath essentials to get you started, like some toilet paper, and soap. These items are not replenished each time you run out.

This is a tropical environment, so you’re very likely to encounter insects and other pesky bugs, especially mosquitoes. We also recommend getting some repellent for during your stay.

Also important to note: Playa del Carmen area is a beautiful place, it does experience the occasional/seasonal sargassum on the beach from time to time that sometimes can be a bit unsightly and emit an unpleasant smell.

Whenever possible, the VIMEX local team will greet you in person and they will ask your signature on the Rental Agreement. We will send you the information covered on the Agreement once the reservation is confirmed so you can review it in advance.

House Rules:
- Travelers must be at least 21 years of age or older to book.
- No smoking of any kind is allowed on the premises. Smoking tobacco, cannabis, or the use of any recreational drugs in the house is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will incur a $300 penalty.
- No parties or events are permitted, illegal activity is prohibited, and excessive noise won't be tolerated. No loud music is allowed after 10 pm. Please be respectful of the neighbours.
- No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed. No tent or other structures may be set up on the ground of the property.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or cover necessary extra-cleaning charges if such is needed after their stay.
- Renters may be required to provide a government ID on the day of check in or during your stay.
- Please avoid moving furniture.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Check-in is not permitted unless a Government ID of all adult guests is sent prior to your arrival and no later than 1pm on the day of your check in.

Interaction with Guests:
The building administration requires a copy of your ID and the names of all guests. Guests who do not provide this in advance will not be granted access.

You can check-in at the main entrance where you’ll find the front desk registration area. Once you’ve checked-in, you’ll receive the apartment access key and bracelets to access the exclusive areas around the complex during your stay.

You’ll have complete privacy during your stay, but we are available 7 days a week. Should you need anything, just send us a message.

Best location and pool in PDC

First the good: This location cannot be beat, the pool is amazing, the beach is wonderful. The unit is spacious, the porch is great.. 5 stars all the way Check in process is very easy, the owner is very easy to reach and is very responsive to messages. The decent: This unit needs some updating. it is getting dated and needs to be refreshed. The blinds that you need to go through to go out the back door to the pool. They are more of a window roll down shade and is impossible to get through without it being in the full open position which then lets all the heat in and lack of privacy to for the unit. The shades really need to be changed to a vertical style vs the horizonal ones there now. Both safes which were advertised as features of the unit were beyond broken, they appeared to not have worked for a very long time. One had no batteries at all nor a battery door and the other had dead batteries. A working safe is important when we travel. The bad: Cockroaches. Huge cockroaches seem to live in the couch and come out at night. These are full size terrifying cockroaches. Trying to relax on the couch at night when giant bugs are crawling out from under the couch and skirring around the room really takes away from the relaxing time we were trying to have. The 2nd bathroom had a nest of baby roaches in it and every time I used it I killed between 1-3 baby roaches. This is the 3rd condo we have staying at in PDC and the only one with a bug issue. Please spray.

Condo was perfect! Beautiful beach location, very easy to walk to all stores, restaurants and meeting locations. Condo manager was in close contact and made sure we could contact them at any time with any questions. We loved the condo!! Will come back ☀️

Reef Stay

When we arrived Isabel met us there. The AC in the Master bedroom didn’t work. Got it fixed as the breaker on the roof was tripped. Advised that they would replace the AC unit while we were there and they did on a Friday. No remote in the Master bedroom. Isabel said that they couldn’t get another one because that is how it is in Mexico. Water dispenser didn’t work. Loris tried to fix, but after 1 day it didn’t work and we went back to using the hand pump. No one advised about getting new water container. When we went to the front desk they said that VIMEX has to furnish. So I contacted Isabel and she sent Ernesto and he came later that day. The cable in the 2nd bedroom didn’t work and Ernesto tried to fix and called the cable company and said they would come on Monday. Is was Saturday and I wanted cable so I did my own removing and replacing the cables and finally got it to work. I do want to say that Loris and Ernesto were both very professional and always were very respectful. They always tried to make the repairs and were very good. VIMEX should be very glad that they have such great persons on their staff. Overall the unit is very nice and this is the 2nd time we stayed here. We stayed a few months earlier and had other issues, but apparently it had not been rented for awhile. The location is excellent . The pool was not full when we were there as they were doing repairs, so totally understand the reason to drain for several days ot minimum levels.

El complejo de departamentos muy bien ubicado, alberca grande y jardines muy bonitos. El departamento donde nos hospedamos muy bien, sin embargo tuvimos algunos inconvenientes, los cuales fueron solucionados casi de manera inmediata.
