Our stay was great! We spent quality time with family and our host Andrew was the best! He was available at all times if we needed anything. This was definitely a weekend we thoroughly enjoyed.
Good location, inside the apartment need to take more care of it everything is old style makes it look dirty
Floors were very dusty
We like to be without shoes inside our feet were filthy
But itâs quite and pool is nice ,great for kids.
The property inside could use some TLC. The living room furniture was in really tough shape, the dishwasher was not anchored to the counter, not much silverware. The master bedroom bed was so high I had to use a step to get in. As far as cleanliness, it was clean and linens/towels were in decent condition. Please leave an instruction sheet for your next guests for the TV and how to use the remotes. The doors and baseboards could use some paint.
We had a horrible experience! This place should not be rented at all. As soon as we arrived, roaches came out from everywhere. This place needs to be closed and an exterminator needs to work on it for days. We left the next day and wasted out summer vacation budget. I have pictures to prove it but I don't see where to post pictures. I feel sorry for ruinining my families vacation and for all the people that will rent this dirty place.
The property is roughly a 20 unit apartment complex. The outside elevation and pool are nice and pleasing. After our stay I noticed that the owner only provides interior photos of refreshed units, but not ours!
Our unit was mostly furnished from a flea market, missing our no bulbs, mold, ceiling fan in living are hanging by a cord and Polo towels from 1980.
We had to contact VRBO upon arrival due to not receiving access information. To give the owner credit, he stated he had an emergency surgery the prior day.
Also ask local officials about beach tarball season(s) and if the beaches are being groomed for this common issue at S. Padre. This also occurs in California and possibly other Gulf Coast locations.
Over all it was ok. The property is very outdated. The sofas where broken, one of them you take the seat off and you literally see the floor. My daughter in law sat down and just sunken in. The tv needs to updated. Their were three remotes and none worked, master bedroom tv was missing the power cord. But when we called to have this fix they responded on a timely matter and extended our check out time by an hour. Could be a bit more cleaner for what we paid for. Location was great and close to a market which helped a lot. Pool was great as well and grilling area. Just the unit was too outdated for our liking.
From the beginning we had issues. Our early check in got approved at 3:30 instead of 1 but we didnât get access until 4 even though we got charged the extra $50 for early check in.
AC wasnât working very well.
Refrigerator wasnât cooling either so we had to use our ice chest to keep our food cold.
Master bedroom comforter had a blood stain.
Guest bathroom had hardly any water pressure and the knob was broken.
We decided to leave a day early because it was too hot to sleep another night there.
We were disappointed with our stay here.
We arrived on property, and the grounds were filthy, used feminine hygiene products in the bushes and beer cans and bottles everywhere. I called the host with questions about the check in process, because he was asking for our payment information a 2nd time, where we had already paid through VRBO. He was rude, we finally got into the condo after my husband called, and the ceiling fan was busted, there was no hand soap or TP. The pool was filthy as well, we couldn't use the pool, this was a bit overpriced for the service and amenities that we received. Honestly though, telling a guest "I don't care" when asked about how to send him my information for check in information, was probably a clear indication that this wasn't my best choice in booking. Upon check out, the 8 of us, cleaned, washed, and returned the condo in better conditions than we found it.
All things considered it was a fantastic stay! Super great beach access point short walk down the road and across the street (my 9yo didnât even complain, so you know it was close) AND Wanna Wanna Beach Bar and Grill was close too!!! Best fries we found in SPI!
Owner was kind, considerate and very helpful. Condo was spacious enough to sleep my family of 5, could have brought friends too. If we return, I will check availability here first.
