Mike, I am still sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. I will respond to the issues you described, but I most note that you called my prior to leaving your review demanding compensation for your stay if I didn't want a bad review. As I stated, we don't do that. What we try to do is react as quickly as possible when an issue comes up. I have a full-time property manager who does move quickly. Responding to issues, 1. Bugs-we have a contract with a local pest control company that sprays quarterly and will come out in an emergency if you see bugs. 2. Leak under sink-my manager tightened that valve as soon as you called her. 3. All linens and towels are cleaned off site and we have multiple change out sets. Nothing was skipped. A musty towel or sand in a bed at a beach is subjective. Everything is changed out for every turn and we reacted quickly when you requested we change out the sheets again. 4. One soap dispenser was missed. Our property manager corrected the issue the next day. The pictures of the house were taken one year ago. The house is well maintained. Money was the primary driver of this review. It was the 4th of July week. That is an expensive week an the cape for any house. Again, I am sorry you didn't enjoy the house and we wish you the best. Christi, I am sorry you didn't have a five star stay. We try our best. Responses to your comments. New sleeper sofas are coming in 8/16/24. Yes guest are hard on them. Those couches are only four years old. The ceiling fan was broken at the beginning of the summer. That will be replaced in the off season. This house should have had 12 towel sets. You were talking to the property manager, I wish you would have said something to him. This listing does not say beach chairs are provided, only a ballon wheel beach cart. Hannah, I am sorry your stay wasn't pleasant. The property manager lives next door and would had gladly come by to address any of your concerns if she had been notified. I will address your individual concerns here. 1.) Everything piece of furniture in the house is less than three years old, including the couches and beds. We deep clean the house every January including steam cleaning the couches. Me and my wife did it together this year, so I know how clean it was. 2.) I have timestamped pictures of the refrigerator and showers showing them spotless on the day you checked in on May 23rd. The cleaner is a 5-star cleaner and she always take pictures in case claims like this come up. Unfortunately, you can't post pics in the replies, but I have photographic proof that the refrigerator and showers were completely cleaned on May 23rd if any potential guest want to see them. 3.)There is fire alarm in every room in the house and the cleaners have never noticed that the fire alarms have been disconnected. This is a non-smoking home. I don't know what you are smelling, but it is not smoke. 4.) The couches are from Wayfair and the mattresses are medium Serta's. Both quality furnishings. Again, all less than three years old. Comfort is a subjective assessment. 5.) Living room seating was gross? I don't know what to say to this. The pictures in the listing are what is in the house. 6.) The pillows are hotel quality from Sam's Club and every pillow has a sealed encasement. The pillow cases themselves are changed out at every turn. I am sorry you have sinus issues, but it had nothing to do with the pillows. I don't know many other owners that go to that level with their pillow quality and encasement's, but we do. I could not have made the pillows more hyper-allergenic.
