Situé sur le magnifique Big Lake à côté de la réserve nationale de faune de Squawcreek. Les cinq chambres ont quatre lits queen, deux lits doubles et quatre lits jumeaux pour accueillir de grands groupes. Cuisine entièrement équipée, linge de maison, buanderie, TV écran plat avec DirecTV et grill extérieur Weber. Tout ce dont vous avez besoin est de la nourriture et des chiffons. Cinq branchements de camping-car sont disponibles si nécessaire. Cette installation est conçue pour les grands groupes. Nous avons accueilli jusqu'à 44 invités à la fois. Disponible sur le terrain sont un anneau de feu pour les animations en soirée et la socialisation. Une aire de jeux avec balançoire, toboggan et une salle de jeux pour les enfants et pour que l'adulte ait du temps libre. Un quai est disponible à côté d'une zone de baignade avec un toboggan dans le lac. Pour les grands groupes, un parasol 20X20 peut être utilisé pour la restauration, l'artisanat ou simplement pour se rassembler au soleil. Plusieurs tables et chaises sont disponibles pour le groupe. Venez profiter de la vue magnifique, de la faune et de la pêche sur Big Lake. Détendez-vous et profitez du calme et de la tranquillité. Les pygargues à tête blanche, la sauvagine, les pélicans blancs et les cerfs sont nombreux tout au long de l'année.

Family oriented

From 18 month old to 62 year old this was an ideal place to accommodate all. Small confined beach pool for 18 month to 7 year old, Canoe, Kayak, paddle boat, and super float mat for the 35-45 year old ones, and glider rocker for the 60 year old to just watch and enjoy. There is a kennel out side for larger pets, playground swings etc for little ones. Super friendly hosts.

Weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay, cabin was everything as advertised. We really enjoyed the lake access out the front door. Would highly recommend to families wanting to get away for a weekend.

Great weekend getaway.

We had a great weekend enjoying the lake and catching up with family. The property had plenty of room for us, and everyone was comfortable. The beach area was amazing and we spent a ton of time floating out in the lake. We made lots of s’mores and roasted hotdogs over the fire pits, which was an added bonus! Thank you so much for hosting us!

Nice getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. The host was super accommodating and responsive. We spent most of our time out by the lake. There is very limited fishing due to some type of fish that eat everything (clearly not the fisherman) there was swimming for the kids and other water activities which was great.

Peaceful lake experience

The home is right on the water and had great access to the lake. The kids enjoyed going out on the water on the various watercraft available. Great outdoor area to hang out.

Labor Day weekend family get-a-way

This cabin was ideal for our family gathering. We had plenty of room for indoor activity as well as outdoor activity. Plenty of bed spaces. All linens and towels were provided. Full kitchen was also a bonus for meal preparations and was fully stocked with all pots, pans, dishes. The extra fridge in the basement/garage was helpful for our large family Being right on the lake was definitely a bonus. Enjoyed a swim in the lake and the breeze off the water was heavenly. The fire pit and wood provided was nice for evening 'smores snacks. Overall a great place and have already reserved our next stay.

We took the youth from our church for a few days get away and this place was the perfect accommodation. The owner was very nice and quick to respond when we needed something. I would definitely stay there again

Nice owners, fair accomadation, not good for elderly or disabled. Too many stairs. Better for a mens group. Owners tried to meet every need. Elevator available but in an adjacent building.

Had a Great Time!

I wanted a vacation that felt like a vacation without all the running around and we certainly found the place to do just that. The kids loved the cabin and choosing where to sleep, so many options. Being on the lake and having a washer and dryer available was so nice to have. The cabin was clean and Richard was so nice to check in to see if we needed anything. This is close enough to our house that the kids wanted to to come back for a long weekend which I am totally on board with. The swimming area was great for our kids, (2) 8 year olds and a 2 1/2 year old. We also had access to use a canoe, kayak and paddle boat which they also provided life jackets for. We used all of them and it was a lot of fun, especially for the kiddos. Plenty of towels for everyone and all we really needed to bring was food. Kitchen was stocked with the dishes, pans and utensils that we needed. There are 2 fire pits, one close to the cabin and one on the lake, we used the one by the lake the most as it had a really nice view. Thank you for a relaxing and enjoyable stay! Looking forward to coming back.

Relaxing and comfy

Our stay was exactly what we needed. The first day it rained and we enjoyed Cornhole in the garage that had plenty of space to play, a fridge, and a table. The next days we enjoyed the on site beach, kayak, canoe, and paddle boat. The place was complete with everything listed and was perfect for a family get away. The host truly made the stay, he was kind, checked on us, but also gave us our space. I would certainly return.

Good location good value

Stayed here for Fourth of July. Cabin worked perfectly for what we needed. It isn’t 5 star accommodations but you are staying on a lake and it is a perfect lake cabin experience. Owner was very friendly and super helpful with everything. Had a lot of amenities that we were allowed to use such as kayaks, paddle boats, life vests, fire pits and bbq grills. Would stay here again for sure.

We’ll be back!

We rented this cabin for our son’s graduation and 18th birthday party combined. We had a blast! Rich and his wife were so sweet and super easy to work with. If you grew up running around the lake at your grandparents, this cabin will bring all of those memories back. Everyone 5-45 had a blast, even in the rain we got. The cabin is stocked, didn’t even need towels! We named the goose and made up stories about his adventures. The flock of pelicans is a must see. This is the place to be if you want to slow down, be with your family, and enjoy some fun in the sun.

All we needed

Hosts were so accommodating for our family of 15. Providing tables, tents, cooking supplies, boats for our celebration. We like to camp but this was a nice upgrade from our tents.

Judy and I are both retired and enjoying life at the lake. It is busy in the summer with boating and entertaining. The fall and spring are always a welcome season with the cool temps and changing of the seasons. Winter is wonderful with all the water fowl and eagles. The pelican come by in the spring and fall and are always a joy to watch. We have rescued two white pelican and delivered them to the rescue center in Kansas City. The know us as the wildlife rescuers of Big Lake in Kansas City rescue center.We enjoy meeting new people and insuring they have a pleasant stay with us. In our spare time we enjoy playing cards and traveling the different states. I have been to all 50 states and Judy is working to that goal also.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Big Lake is an overlooked gem of NW Missouri. It is in both the Missouri and Mississippi river migration fly zones. The bald Eagle are plentiful. We have sighted 53 bald Eagle on the ice at one time. We are away from the hassle and bustle of the big city, but we are midway between Omaha and Kansas City both just and hour and a half away.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Almost one acre of land to use for recreation and gathering. Several gas grills available for use. A 20X20 sunshade tent and several tables and chair for reunions and meetings. Five camper hook up available for more housing. We have hosted up to 44 at one reunion.
