Cozy Milton Guest Suite with Private, Wooded Patio & Kitchenette

We're glad that you found our guest suite clean and comfortable:-) We are sorry we didn't earn five stars from you (this was our first review that was not five stars) and are not sure from your review where we went wrong, considering that the stairs are the same as when you first stayed with us and you made no complaint at that time. We work very hard to be attentive to everything that will give our guests a comfortable stay in our home. We were a bit disappointed that you broke one of our wine glasses (we understand; accidents happen) but didn't tell us, nor did you completely clean up the glass on the floor. And it took a lot of work to remove the food stains you left on our quilt (and also didn't warn us about). Given the state of our suite when you left this time and the lack of communication on your part, we'll presume that this was perhaps a difficult time for you in general. We appreciate your choosing us for two stays, and we wish you well and hope you find a space more accommodating to your knees and ankles.

We're very sorry we didn't earn a five star review from you. We are a bit confused with your complaint about "German cockroaches" because we have never seen nor had any other complaints about roaches at all! And we are very disappointed that you didn't mention this to us during your stay. We didn't even know that you had left early! The only thing that we can even come up with is that perhaps you saw what we in Georgia call "palmetto bugs". These are outside dwellers that are prevalent in the woods (and we are definitely in the woods), and they will sometimes come in (because no house is air tight) when it rains. But then they quickly die because of our bug treatment and/or because they don't have any water. They are not at all associated with uncleanliness, but they can be surprising giving their large size ("German Cockroaches" are small and hide and scurry rather than hang out on the ceiling or curtains). We're very sorry for the unwelcome visitors. We wish you had said something. But your review is very misleading. Using the word "infestation" and labeling the bugs specifically as "German cockroaches" is pretty harsh. Our little guest suite is very clean. It is right next to our private living quarters, which also are clean. Living in the woods means living with nature, and the beauty and peace very much outweigh the wildlife issues that come with it.
