The barbecue is regularly checked, and propane is kept available to support guest use. Dirty place, poorly maintained. Not at all as described. Poor communication and resolution from third party evolve. No honest business from owner and representative. I will never stay there again. In good faith I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The view of the lake is absolutely stunning, and the home has a charming, rustic cabin feel. It is an older house, so you’ll notice some squeaks and creaks—especially if you’re staying downstairs, as you can hear movement from above. Being close to the highway means there’s some traffic noise, so it may not be the quietest spot for those seeking total seclusion. The appliances are a bit older, but they add to the nostalgic, classic cabin atmosphere.

Great Friendsgiving get away !

Great place to stay for our group of 8 ( 4 adults and 4 kids) Kitchen has a great array of cooking items. Beds were clean and comfortable. Bedrooms were a bit differently arranged and amenities are basic. House has a cozy charm. All in all we all had a great time!

Lake view cabin charmer

We spent Thanksgiving at this charming cabin! The kitchen was well equipped, and made cooking a breeze. I did bring a throw out pan to roast the turkey, made it an easy clean up! Check in was easy and was given 2 hours before the time to be able to refrigerate all the turkey day food! Definitely will be a repeat if available!

We had a great time, and watched the best firework ever from the patio. We had the best time, and the bracelets gave us dishes, but also strip our linen and place next to the laundry machine. For the amount we paid for cleaning felt like unfair. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay.

First, the pictures are very deceiving! We get it’s in the mountains and rustic but after staying at other vrbo rentals the cleanliness of this house was no acceptable. I took pictures of it all, we had to wash two of the beds bedding because it was dirty, the toilet still had urine on the underside of the seat which clearly shows this place is not cleaned properly. We left a day early because how disgusting it was. The pans provided were kept in a very dirty cabinet. The seat pads for the patio furniture had mold stains so those were not usable. This house really needs a deep clean. The only plus is how close it is to everything and the view from the deck.

Inaccurate description

Family had a wonderful time. But pls be advised that the photos they uploaded online was too filtered. Property was clean though and well equipped, except for the barbecue grill that seemed not been cleaned since it was bought. All food debris stucked at the bottom. And pls emphasize that the washer and dryer is inside in one of the bedroom. Which is no big deal. Overall it was a good stay.

Not a clean Cabin, Private Lake and no access unless you pay more

Needs a good deep clean, dusty and full of spider webs. Definitely the cleaning fee is pocketed... The lake access needs to be given by ALA and theres a fee, just the badge they provide wont work or they get fined. Communication is slow. You cant access the trails or fish without badges (more fees). We ended traveling to Lake Gregory for fishing.

cute but in need of a good cleaning

The cabin itself is cute. However, it is in need of a good cleaning. Floors were filthy - Our socks were very dirty after five minutes of walking around and the bathroom floor upstairs had hair and scuff marks. The flooring upstairs creaks loudly so I would not suggest anyone to sleep in the bottom rooms if you're a light sleeper. The nightly rate is much too high for what you get.

While there are many updated features, the floors are original and add to the charm. - We are sorry that the creaking of the floors caused a disturbance for you during your stay. We have equipped each bedroom with its own sound machine that includes multiple white noise options and volume settings to help mask the natural creaks that come with a rustic, 90-year-old cabin. - We apologize for the lack of cleanliness. We have the home professionally cleaned in between each guest's stay, however, we do understand mistakes happen. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Weekend in Arrowhead

Property was great. Was disappointed with property manager communication about a power outage. The power went out and when I called to see if she knew anything about it, was there a generator, any info available, etc., she told me it’s out everywhere and ‘welcome to the mountains.’ I’ve stayed in countless mountain properties and own a mountain property, I would not say a power outage from 3 inches of snow in the winter at a mountain property is to be expected so that wasn’t super helpful. Would have appreciated more info, is this common in arrowhead? How long does it usually take to come back? Perhaps some updates or checking in with us since we didn’t know the area. Also house didn’t have flashlights.

Nice, but dated…

As description stated, this property is not for seniors with ambulatory challenges….stairs to get to the front door and stairs (very narrow and steep) to get to two bedrooms and the bathroom upstairs. The outside deck is very nice and has a gorgeous view, but is in the shade all day…not suitable for crisp fall weather. We had a couple of issues: 1. We had no control of the thermostat…it read 69 degrees while we were there, which meant bundling up in extra layers inside the house. 2. The kitchen sink backed up each time we used it. It would, eventually, drain but made doing dishes a longer than usual process. The house was priced fairly for the level of accommodations.

Disappointing

We were looking for a lake vacation where we could use our paddleboards, kayak, and other water sports in the lake. The listing led us to believe that this was the right place to do so. I even verifed with Evolve before we packed the boards in the car.. Were told purchasing 30 dollar each wrist bands would gain us access. Unfortunately the lake and beach clubs in listing are private and we could not get in even with wristbands. Not much else to do there. While pretty surroundings we wanted an active vacation and wasted our time and money. I was told by the Lake Association that I was misled. I asked owners for 50 percent compensation as if we knew the reality we would not have booked. They gave us 272 dollars and an apology. To me, 272 was not adequate to compensate for wasting our vacation time and money.

Please note that Lake Arrowhead is private and only registered watercraft are allowed. - In the Lake Arrowhead and Mountain area, there are numerous additional activities. Positive: View of the lake from the Deck. Layout of the cabin for more than 2 people and location to activities. Cons: In our many years of using VRBO for our vacation rentals, the cleanliness of this property made me very disappointed in trusting their recommendations in the future. The thickness of the dust on the blinds thoughout, flower arrangements, and decor, suggested a lack of cleaning for at least six months. Kitchen cupboards were sticky from lack of proper cleaning. Both the kitchen faucet and light switches did not work properly. Rugs and mats were stained with bleach and ripped in corners. The small rug at the end of the downstairs bedroom was so filthy it was removed from the room for our entire visit. Extra pillows and comforters were stuffed into the closet of our downstairs bedroom leaving little room for the guest to leave their own belongings. We bought proper cleaning supplies on our first evening and used them the next day and were happy the friends we had invited to visit were not able to come up the hill. This is the first negative review I have ever written on a rental but it is a shame that there does not seem to be any pride of ownership by the owners or the management company they use. Although no issues with the kitchen faucet or light switches were reported during your stay, we have since inspected them, and everything appears to be in proper working order.-The extra pillows and comforters in the closet are provided to ensure guests have options to meet their specific comfort needs, and the house offers ample storage space, including dressers, for personal belongings.-We sincerely regret that your stay did not meet your expectations.
