Near beach... Wade On In (Previously On the Wiles Side) Captiva Island Pool Home

Welcome to Wade On In Previously named On the Wiles Side! We are so glad you have found us. This Captiva, Florida Island home was recently completely remodeled. The landscaping has been expertly redone providing a natural, tropical feel. There is a beautiful pool area with lounge chairs, a dining area, grill, and plenty of space for your family or friends to enjoy. Downstairs you can also enjoy a competitive game of corn hole. There are plenty of pool floats where you can leisurely enjoy the perfectly heated water of the pool. 
 

The sands of Captiva Beach are a 2-minute walk down Wiles Drive where you will find the quiet neighborhood beach path just before the library.  There is a beach wagon that you  an use to bring your beach gears that you rented from VayKlife.
 

The home offers vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan. You will love the open kitchen design and all your family will need to prepare meals. The spacious master bedroom is on the west side of the home with a comfortable king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom. The two additional guest rooms are on the east side of the home with a bathroom in between. The living area offers comfortable seating and a dining table for 6. There is a washer/dryer as well as a nook area that holds books and games for the entire family to enjoy. Enjoy the evenings on the screened in front porch with a nice cool drink. If you love to go shelling, Captiva beach will excite you with its array of shells. Come back to the house and rinse them in our shell washing station!
 

Shops and restaurants are within a short walking distance or golf cart ride (may be rented separately from a local vendor).

The house was amazing! We had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed the house, pool and location. The only minor setback was unexpectedly having to rent beach chairs when we arrived due to lack of beach chairs provided by the house. However, the rental company helped with this quickly!

Enjoyed a wonderful week at Wade on In. Home is in immaculate shape, wonderful part of the neighborhood, a five minute walk to the beach and into the heart of Captiva. All amenities just as promised. House was perfect for a relaxing, family Christmas getaway to the beach! The location couldn’t be any better. So close to, what feels like a private beach and easy access to Captiva. We loved it. Hot tub would have been great in December, and don’t forget to grab trash bags and toilet paper if you’re staying more than three days. But otherwise, exactly what we were looking for and so glad we stated at Wade On In!!

Perfect Location!

We loved the location - it could not have been more perfect! The home was comfortable and we had plenty of space for everyone in our group. The pool got a little hot mid day, but that didn’t deter the kids from swimming! We also really appreciated the beach cart and umbrellas!

Great Family Trip to Captiva

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property in Captiva! The house is very clean and had everything needed. We really enjoyed the pool and was good relief from the heat. Captiva is still recovering from the hurricane but still worth the visit. Thank you!

Great Quiet Getaway!

The house was adorable! perfect for us, very clean, the pool was a plus and it was heated! the location was perfect away from all of the crowds. 3 minute walk to the beach! Would definitely rent it again! it was just what we needed!

Perfect location, cool house

The house had just been completely remodeled and it was very well done. The heated pool was private and perfect for our family. The beach was about a two minute walk from the house. Shops and restaurants were just blocks away, an easy walk or golf cart ride. We spent a lot of time enjoying the screened porch. Everyone loved our trip to Captiva!

Fun! Fun! Fun!

We took our granddaughters on vacation and had the best time!! The location was great, close to everything. The weather was hot but with the pool we didn't care! The house was beautiful and everyone had their own space. I would go back in a heart beat and lots of memories were made. Thank you!!

This house was wonderful and had everything we needed and more. My family of 6 loved our stay here (children ages 14, 11, 8, and 3) We came when the weather was unfortunately very cold but we still made the best of our trip. We used our VayKLife credit for bikes and it was truly a lifesaver since some days it was too cold for the beach or pool, we biked all over and it was a really nice addition to our rental when we may not have rented bikes on our own without the credit. We did have one really warm day and it was great having the house so close to the beach, we could walk over easily and walk back if we forgot something or if our toddler wanted a snack. The company was great about answering any questions we had and always responded quickly. We will definitely be back!!

Our stay

We had an amazing stay here! It was a beautiful and well kept up house that was well stocked from the kitchen to beach towels and many extras. Very close to the beach and we appreciated all of the beach accessories the were provided. We really enjoyed reading on the screened in porch. The pool was wonderful. However, as one reviewer mentioned above, you could hear the neighbors next door all hours of the day. Very highly recommended!

Grandparents Annual Summer Vacation

This was a great family vacation. The entire property was exactly as described on the website and we could not have been more pleased. Great access to the beach which was less than a 5 minute walk. The home was large enough for our family to spread out if needed but would definitely be great for a couple looking for a getaway as well. Would definitely return. We had one small request for service that was handled by a gentleman that lives on the island within the hour. He knew the property and was in and out promptly. I was impressed!

We had a great stay! House is in a great location close to beach access and walkable to restaurants and shops. Very clean and plenty of pillows, blankets and towels. Only basic starters for toilet paper/paper towels/soap/etc. Kitchen had everything you could need to cook a meal (even cheese grater) and a regular coffee maker. Nothing to clean countertops with so bring something if you want. There is a cabinet stocked with beach bags, towels, refillable water bottles and sunscreen bottles. Lots of pool floats as well as a beach wagon outside. No chairs or umbrella but we used our vaycay credit to rent those. Gas grill was wonderful. We loved the shell washing station because we found tons of shells at the beach each day. Beach was quiet and not crowded. We say rays, manatees, dolphins daily. Only disappointment was the pool water was so hot we really didn’t use the pool at all. Pool gets no shade so is very warm and the decking was hot. Publix will deliver groceries which is a nice option since the grocery store on the island is limited and we didn’t want to waste our day driving and shopping. Easy walk to Boops for ice cream.

It is wonderful that you were able to take full advantage of the beach wagon, the gas grill, and our shell washing station—finding tons of shells is the ultimate Captiva experience! Getting to see rays, manatees, and dolphins daily sounds absolutely magical. Thank you also for the excellent pro-tips for future guests regarding the basic starter supplies, countertop cleaner, and using Publix delivery to bypass the smaller local grocery selection. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the pool temperature. With the intense summer sun and lack of natural shade, the water and the decking can definitely heat up quickly during this time of year. We will look into options to see how we can better manage the midday heat for future summer stays. Great house and location

Unfortunately due to the hurricane we were unable to get onto the island and enjoy our stay like previous year. Hopefully next year we will be back!

We absolutely loved this property.

We absolutely loved this property. It was in a perfect location: an easy walk to the beach, close to all of the great restaurants and stores, and close to the marina. The house has a great layout and was beautifully renovated. The landscaping is gorgeous along with the pool and outdoor area. We appreciated the beach chairs, bags, coolers, tent, and cart that were also provided.

Awesome vacation with the kids.

Beautiful location, love the neighborhood vibe. Very private and close to beach and library (for the kids to get school work done). Lush vegetation, lots of birds and iguanas to watch. This home makes you really feel at peace and relaxed. The only bummer is the dishwasher broke on the 2nd day and we were told it would be fixed. After several attempts of asking when it would happen, alas our vacation ended. We didn’t have any paper products so we ended up washing a lot of dishes during our stay. We highly recommend the location and the well done renovation of this property!
