This house is very cool on a beautiful property. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings. It's a 5 minute or less walk to the beach, Praia Mole. There was a surf competition happening basically in front of the house across the street while we stayed here and they were parking cars at the front entrance. That was cool but also made for some bad traffic, which caused us to miss our flight to Sāo Paulo (not the fault of the owner or the property--just bad circumstances). Despite the craziness of the competition, the property remained secluded and quiet.
We were able to take advantage of the washer to do several loads of laundry which helped quite a bit. There's a balcony with a beautiful view of the lagoon and two suites which enter directly into the swimming pool area.
The bad: there was a strong odor of sewage from time-to-time from the upper, bigger suite's bathroom. There was also a sewage smell sometimes in the 1/2 bath downstairs. The a/c unit in the bigger suite also had a bad smell when it ran. It was a somewhat cool to cold weekend and we were able to leave the windows open for the most part so the smells didn't bother us too much but when we had to use the heater one night because of the cold, it was a bit smelly. Also, though Praia Mole beach is across the street, if you want to visit any other beach it's a 35-45 min drive from here. Praia Mole is beautiful, but the waves can be big--good for surfers but not as good if you just want to enjoy a relaxing day at the beach playing around in the water.
The owner met us on site the first night and made us feel welcome. He doesn't speak English (I speak Portuguese) so if you don't speak Portuguese, check-in may be a little more difficult for you. Overall, I would sty here again. It's an awesome place despite the small difficulties we encountered.
