Stephanie, 5 years of hosting properties and it’s unfortunate for me to say you were quite possibly one of the worst guests I’ve ever experienced. I’m proud of my 4.5-5 star rating on all of my platforms. I’m blaming the fact that this was your first time renting a vacation home and you have no gratitude for anyone, and you were willing to lie just to be difficult. Facts: -Furnace was not broken upon arrival. It broke the night before and I had a repair person replace and repair it the same morning. I had notified you at 11am giving you the notice that the hvac repair man would still be there when you checked in. Your response “no problem!” Perhaps I should’ve cancelled your stay all together and avoided the biggest nightmare guest I’ve ever hosted. As a homeowner, no one wants to be surprised that their furnace has broken the day before a check in. I apologized numerous times for this unpredictable issue. One of which I had no control over, however you were able to check in on time and I even offered an early bag drop which you refused. Since we have a fireplace, you absolutely had heat for the 1 hour it was being worked on. Just another lie. -The towel story is another lie: my cleaner and hvac repair man confirmed there were 2 towels on every bed and confirmed you had said “wonderful that’s plenty towels thanks so much we’re all set”. I was sent photos of the towels on each bed with time stamps. You clearly lied to try to get money out of me and harassed me all day about it so you could get a refund. -Forgive me for asking if you could check on the hose for a last minute snow storm. Oddly enough, the guests in my other properties were kind enough to check for me and we’re extremely helpful about it. After you refused to check, I immediately sent a landscaper to do so. Problem solved. No inconvenience for you. - You spent hours harassing me via messages all weekend. Every difficult or nasty message you sent me, I would respond immediately with apologies and understanding, even though I knew you were lying and your intention from the beginning was to be nasty to me and make up lies. My final thoughts to future guests: As much as I like to say “customer is always right”, this guest was the exception. I’ve seen it all managing over 100 properties, but this one takes the cake. It’s unfortunate to see guests like Stephanie who want to take advantage of people and choose to be rude and nasty rather than treating people with kindness.

Hi Traci! Thanks for your feedback, I'll definitely speak with our landscaper. I wish I could let everyone check-in early, but unfortunately, it's never in my hands nor the cleaners. As a large 2500 sq ft home, it can sometimes take up to 6 hours to take care of laundry and cleaning - and not all guests respect our rules and guidelines and leave the house in quite a mess. We want to make sure the house is left perfect and clean for the next guests. But I would've bee n fine with early luggage check in if I would've known :) Thanks again for staying Traci, you were a lovely easy guest and you are welcome back any time!
