Portobello II 1307 was very nicely furnished and well stocked with thing needed in the kitchen. very clean, plenty of linens and towel with our stay. Parking was spacious. The main deck was covered witch was wonderful for those days it rained. the deck off Master was great for sunning or just get outside for a while. Internet was great and tvs in each room were nice. i would stay here again. i say 5 stars.
The location and space was great. However, there were quite a few roaches laying around and the overall house could have been much cleaner. This concerned me the most considering we are in a pandemic still.
This house was great for our family of 6. The location is perfect for beach access with a 3-minute walk. The kitchen had everything we needed and the washer and dryer worked great. The AC kept cool and all the major appliances worked as expected.
We loved the decks and spent a lot of time out there, but since it's on the main road, it got noisy but we didn't mind.
The living room furniture is a tad outdated but worked fine sitting short periods of time. However, I would not use the sleeper sofa. We had a friend stay one night and we were scared to remove the wooden plank for fear to mess something up so we used an air mattress.
We used the outside water for washing off our feet but wished there was a hose like we saw on other houses in the complex.
We would stay there again.
Great location but needs updating & really only sleeps 6!
The house was across the street from the beach with some ocean views and very close to public beach access. It had everything we needed except a pool (listed as having one but it was still closed in June even though the governor lifted the ban on public pools 3 weeks prior). We had sent a message to the owner before booking to double check but we never received a reply. We also sent another message through the app after check-in with no reply. HOWEVER we called Dunes, the property manager, and they were very helpful and called the HOA regarding the pool, but the HOA does not know when it will open.
Another disappointment was that the listing said the house could sleep 8 people, that included a sleeper sofa that I wouldnât put my worst enemy on. There was a piece of plywood between the cushions and the foldout bed for support. It was TERRIBLE and obviously 20-30 years old. We also did see a few âpalmetto bugsâ in the kitchen and in one upstairs bedroom, so maybe an exterminator needs to come out.
The house had two great decks facing the street/ocean that we enjoyed. The upstairs bedrooms & bathrooms worked for the rest of our family.
We enjoyed our vacation but we always rent a place with a pool, so that was VERY disappointing. Also, the owner needs to replace that sleeper sofa NOW or remove it from the listing as it is not fit for a mouse to sleep on.
***We realize these are not Dunes realityâs problems. They were great. We also realize nobody can help the covid situation with the pool, but someone should have replied to my first message and been honest that the pool was still closed. We would have rented a different property.
