If you're looking for R&R, this is the place! Secluded, CLEAN, modern, and nestled in gorgeous landscaping. The view from the patio is amazing and the sunrise over the peaks, breathtaking! The hummingbirds kept us entertained the entire time. We watched two prong horn pass through the property one evening and a coyote prowling around antagonizing the prairie dogs. There is an abundance of cookware and appliances, the kitchen did not disappoint! Beds are super comfy and the bathroom, stunning. I did notice reviews about the cameras and notes all over the cabin when booking. I found the simple reminders to be very helpful and made checkout much easier. The cameras were surrounding the entire property except for the patio outside the master bedroom, (I think!). They did not damper our stay at all. I understand the rational of security and no young kids, this place is immaculant!!! We would certainly stay again!

Rather Dissapointing

We booked this home for privacy, the hot tub, and the waterfall feature. Unfortunately, our stay fell short. The property has potential and is well-kept in many ways, but several issues made the experience less than ideal.The home came with a lengthy binder of rules and many posted signs, most of which were not disclosed prior to booking. This, combined with ongoing construction just a few feet away, made the atmosphere feel far from private or relaxing. The waterfall feature was not working, which was disappointing since it was one of our main reasons for booking. The lack of window coverings also left us feeling exposed.Several small details added to the frustration: many games were missing pieces, the smart home system was confusing and inconsistent, a wind chime outside the bedroom kept us awake, and the refrigerator contained personal items despite instructions not to move anything. These things, while minor on their own, compounded to create stress instead of the peaceful experience we expected.Overall, the home is visually appealing, but the combination of unclear rules, privacy concerns, and undisclosed inconveniences made our stay less enjoyable than anticipated.

Locked out on arrival

We arrived around 7pm was given a gate code. The lock was very difficult to open and it was dark. We were given a code for the door to only find out couldn’t open because bottom door lock was locked. There is no cell service so had no way to call anyone so had to drive back to town and it took several attempts before getting anyone. They had to send a maintenance guy out like 40 minutes later to let us in. Bed is very firm as well as pillows are firm as well. They are countless cameras pointing all directions on the porch and looking at hot tube so you constantly feel you are being watched. Nothing really close to do any kinda of snow activity unless you drive over a hour. A lot of rules to follow at their property.

To begin, the owners texted prior to our staying, and were very concerned about having children under 14 staying at the property - and we texted at length. We arrived to the cabin, which is remote and beautiful. The cabin and location are great, and you should try out the close Middle Frisco trail. First, there are LOTS of rules. As someone else mentioned, there are labels and signs everywhere telling you what to do ("fill the bird feeders") and what not to do ("don't move any furniture"). The fireplace was not working (which was a search criteria for me when choosing where to stay), and the extensively advertised waterfall water feature also was not working. We were told that the water feature was seasonal, however we were there in June, so not sure what season it works in. Overall, given all this it was not worth what we paid.

We were happy to hear that you loved the location and the luxury of the cabin, as well as the hiking trails close by they are also our favorites - We're sorry you found our notes and guidelines overwhelming, most guests have commented on finding them very helpful in figuring out how to use our unique smart home - As explained you also own vacation homes, and we would think you could appreciate the guideline of “ Please do not move any furniture around”. This is a brand new home with new furniture, we are seeking to prevent floors from being scratched and the furniture from being nicked - As the owners we request our listing advise against any children under the age of 14. The home is decorated with high-end furniture and luxurious decorations which are not child appropriate. This property is designed for more of a couples retreat, honeymooner's stay, or a quiet getaway feel - The water feature alone makes our property very dangerous for youngsters, the bottom pool alone is 15 ft. deep. Kids love to climb on the big rocks, which house underwater lights and wires and cause damage to the water feature - We apologize that the water feature and fireplace were not in operation during your stay. The water feature is normally running during the few 2-3 months of summer. This spring it had major leaks and is undergoing renovations. The fireplace remote was broken by previous guests and we are waiting on a replacement. Since it was summer, we did not think the fireplace would an issue We enjoy sharing our home with guests, we truly go above and beyond for our guests, and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for."

They stole our steak

Great secluded location away from town. Beautiful views, house is clean, cozy and has all the essentials. However we honestly felt like we couldn’t relax or we would be breaking all the rules. There are signs for everything which can be helpful, but it was a bit much. Even pictures on how the cabinets should be arranged so we felt like we where being micromanaged. We followed all the rules we read and hopefully did it right. I would recommend this place for sure, but maybe tone back a bit on the labels.

Best anniversary trip ever!!!

Couldn't have picked a better place for my wife's first time to Colorado. The view was amazing, so close to so many things to do. Everything about it was amazing. Cabin comes with literally everything you need. Tendents checked on us and made sure we ad all info we needed before we even got there. Definitely going back!!!

Great romantic getaway

If you need to disconnect and getaway from your routine. This is the place. The views, the decor and everything outside the cabin screams seclusion. I will definitely be back and it’s big enough for 2 couples if need be.

The Cabin is lacking nothing! Lots of small touches, luxury items throughout the cabin. Most peaceful & comfortable stay we have had at a vacation rental. Hosts are easy to reach and very helpful with their communication. The welcome book has great details of the area.

Wonderful Mountain Get Away

My husband and I were looking for a cabin in solitude to celebrate our 31st Anniversary. We enjoy the Fall season and the colors in the Mountains this time of year. This cabin was very cozy and peaceful. We ate breakfast on the deck at sunrise and enjoyed morning, and evening hot tubbing. The night sky was amazing!!! So many stars and the crisp, clean air was refreshing. Day trips to Wolf Creek and to the Great Sand Dunes were very easy. We ended each evening by the cozy fireplace. It was a wonderful get away!

The hosts were the most accommodating and very helpful in finding local places to eat. We loved Three Barrels and Carthers Roadhouse. We sat and watch the humming birds on the porch and had the most relaxing vacation. Love the Rocky Mountain summer air.

OUTSTANDING CABIN!!!!

This cabin was simply outstanding 5 Stars: Top quality all the way!!!! Perfect size cabin for two couples to share and enjoy. We enjoyed sitting on the porch swing watching the sunrise and sunsets everyday. Its the best peace and quite you will ever find with top notch amenities. And the water feature is out of a magazine! We are coming back again and again. Sorry we have to leave.

Beautiful Cabin with amazing views

This cabin was very comfortable and better than described. They've thought of everything. I also liked the detailed instructions and the labeling of light switches. : ) Overall a very clean cabin; the kitchen was well equipped even though we only made breakfast at the cabin. There is also a gas grill on the porch. The wraparound porch is a beautiful place to enjoy the views and wildlife! It was very peaceful and we enjoyed the water feature too. Hosts were available via text to answer any questions and they responded promptly too.

Absolute tranquility

We had an wonderful stay at Sage N Saddle! The pictures do not do it justice at all. You can tell this is a well loved home. The attention to detail was amazing. Everything from the log furniture, super comfy beds, stylish light fixtures, cabin themed dishes, fun assortment of Keurig coffees, the plush robes, all the laminated tip sheets in the kitchen showing how to put the dishes back (that is a serious help when putting thing back in the cabinets) down to the little notecards with tips in all the rooms. Our family of four enjoyed the swing on the wrap around deck while soaking in the mountain view and playing cards in the upstairs loft game room. I made several amazing meals on the grill and in the well appointed kitchen. The hot tub - just wow. The glow of the surrounding cities along with the outdoor lighting around the hot tub was so serene. We were lucky enough to visit during a full moon. The moon rising over the mountains while in the hot tub is a view I will remember forever. Pretty sure my daughter will always remember Sebastian the cat. They seemed pretty taken with each other. Kim and her daughter were only a phone call away with any questions we had. This mountain getaway was exactly what this weary soul was seeking. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing cabin.

Wonderful get-away

The house and surroundings were perfect for a getaway to stay away from crowds. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful in every way possible. The home was very clean, comfortable and did not disappoint in any way... We cooked all meals in the home and had everything we needed to prep, cook and present beautifully. Pagosa Springs is a simple and beautiful day trip destination and a must for a restful and unique experience in the hot springs!

Beautiful, scenic, peaceful cabin getaway

The cabin exceeded our expectations. Well equipped and attention to detail. Everything you can possibly need for a relaxing vacation. The panoramic views of the mountains in the distance were just amazing. Beautiful to watch the sunrises and sunsets from the patio. Love the hot tub! so great to watch the scenery and nature during the day and stars at night. The cabin is secluded and peaceful, but at the same time only a short drive into town. Lots of great hiking in the area too. The owners provide such clear and detailed instructions throughout the whole booking and check in process, as well as recommendations for nearby excursions. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable time! great to get away from the stresses of work and everyday life!

Beautiful mountain views

The house was gorgeous, clean, and user friendly. The hot tub was amazing and offered a private relaxing view of the property and Sangre de Cristo mountains. Lots of wildlife and birds. A perfect romantic getaway.

Heaven on earth

My sister and I rented this property for a long weekend get-away and it did not disappoint. The house itself was absolutely beautiful and the views were even more spectacular. It’s far away enough for complete solitude yet close to towns and most any kind of recreation you could want. The hot tub was our favorite feature. During the day you can’t beat the view of the mountains, and at night the view of the stars. The only thing we would have changed was the sheets. They had flannel sheets and we much prefer regular old cotton. But that’s certainly not enough to keep us away for the next time.
