Our stay was everything promised and more from the house, the waterfalls, the lights, the view, the trails, etc... It is a one-of-a-kind stay that you can tell with every detail that it was built as a labor of love inside the house and out! A perfect view from the hot tub and for peace, relaxation, and nature.
Absolutely gorgeous! Ken has put so much time and love into this majestic spot, and it shows in every detail. It is exactly as described and had everything we needed. Wonderful property!
This is a property you absolutely need to see in person. Pictures donât do it justice!! The home is beautiful and well-decorated. The property itself is seemingly endless and so fun to explore. Ken was an amazing host and his communication and attention to detail was impeccable. We are already planning another visit for the fall!
I stayed three nights with my dog to get a lot of hiking in beautiful Hot Springs. Not only is Max Patch (a surreal experience especially at sunset) 5 miles up the road and the Appalachian trail about 25 min. from the property, the host Ken has built trails all over the property. So if you don't feel like leaving this very comfortable home you can just stay all day and hike and enjoy the amazing surroundings. I absolutely LOVED the sound system, the comfortable couch and bed, the lighting and of course hot-tubbing under the stars. I hope to be back in the fall if it doesn't get totally booked up!
Postcard perfection. Endless waterfall sounds and mountain breeze - a modern home in the wilderness. The perfect escape . Views from the hot tub were breathtaking. My pup had the zoomies the second I let her off leash to gallop from rock to rock and she never stopped smiling- until we had to leave of course. I think she might still be mad . Worth every penny.
The host has created a beautiful, peaceful, serene setting in the Hot Springs/MaxPatch area where you can unplug, relax, enjoy nature, hike, all while enjoying a luxury place to stay. Escaping city life, hot temperatures, locked doors and windows to sleeping with the windows open listing to peaceful sounds of waterfalls, enjoying nature such as butterflies, lightning bugs, and humming birds bringing back childhood memories. It was a truly great experience. The only reason I thought about lowering the score for accuracy of online listing is because initially we chose the cabin because of the address listed. Thinking it was in Asheville so we could visit the city which we could have done still, but everything happens for a reason and we ended up just staying the whole time relaxing at the location which is what we really needed. Just make sure you read the guide ahead of time, have your supplies, code, Wi-Fi password, all before you go to this remote area. The host is very receptive and ready to address any needs. We truly appreciate this experience.
Our expectations were so high that I thought there was no way anything could ever live up to them. It was the week of mine and my girlfriendâs wedding. We spent a year planning and looking for the perfect place.
When I tell you it was everything, it was everything. Iâll spend the rest of my life with the memories of marring my wife there, I couldnât have asked for more perfect memories. It absolutely exceeded all of our expectations.
Itâs hard to put into words what this place is really like. The photos donât/canât do the waterfalls justice. They are absolutely beautiful and bountiful. Itâs not just one or two, they are all through out. Itâs just amazing. There are wide paths covered in moss that make it easy to walk along by the water. The leaves were changing the week we were there, and they bursted into color the whole week. Our dogs absolutely loved it there as well. They played in the water and soaked up the sun on the deck.
The house is beautiful. I love how you can see different waterfalls from different windows. The couch is super comfy, and there were more tv channels than we knew what to do with.
It was the most peaceful place I could have ever asked for, and to marry my wife there ⊠it was everything.
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in this most amazing place Ken. Youâve curated a space that exceeds all expectations. I hope to get to come back someday.
The waterfalls and the peacefulness of the property as well as the hot tub, fire pits, and beautiful outdoor area was outstanding! The gas grill and all kitchen appliances were top notch. We will definitely go back!
I would 10/10 recommend this stay! We stayed with our dog who loved exploring the property and nearby trails! Ken was an excellent host and the house was beautiful.
We are a family of five with a toddler and we had the absolute best experience at this cabin! It was very clean and it had anything and everything we couldâve possibly needed. The owner puts a lot of thought and work to ensure the guests have a great experience. From walking in with a hand written sign welcoming us to the cabin to the owner checking in a day after we arrived, everything was great. We spent a lot of time hiking. If you visit, you must go to max patch! Itâs a hill but not a hike ( all three kids made it up and loved it!). We also walked everyday and picked fresh mountain black berries! To me, this is the ultimate glamping location!
My journey led me from 20 years living in crazy NYC and owning my own legal recruiting firm in 2014 to the serene beauty of Asheville and Western North Carolina. Since buying this property in 2019 where the new house sits, I've dedicated the majority of my time excavating and shaping the landscape from tangled and untamed nature. Every aspect of this transformation was accomplished without the help of machinery but simply with my hands, a trusty shovel, a weed whacker, and a couple of chainsaws. The evolution never ends as every year brings new projects that makes the property that much more enticing.
To me, this slice of paradise feels like my very own National Park. I've spent years journeying across the globe with a backpack always seeking out natural beauty and capture them through a camera lens. Yet, in all my travels, I have never encountered a private property that exudes such a breathtaking landscape right at the doorstep. The beauty that unfolds here is unparalleled, offering a unique and awe-inspiring sensory experience that never ceases to captivate me.
While the house is beautiful in its construction and complete with focal points at every angle, the real magic is in its surrounds literally any time of year. There are NO neighbors front, back, or at either side so you will enjoy complete privacy without worry. The orchestral sound of falling water in sonic 3D is simply mystical no matter where you choose to sit. In addition, at night the creek lights up with color from top to bottom which is a genuine thrill.
