This cabin was the perfect relaxing getaway with my husband. So wonderful to be surrounded by the mountains and enjoy the river view as well. Definitely one of our favorite places we have visited!
The Cabin was perfect ! Only issue was the air stopped working one day, but they were on point with sending someone out to have it fixed ! The back yard and front porch view were beautiful.
We LOVED this property. It was quiet and scenic. The house was so comfortable with many thoughtful touches. Our daughter loved playing on the riverbank and we enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub as well.
We couldn't have been happier with our stay! Absolutely beautiful landscaping and breathtaking views from every angle. Spent much needing time soaking and relaxing in the hot tub. Everything was fully stocked and well thought out for guests! Thank you for the great memories created at your amazing cabin!
I stayed for 3 nights with my sister. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. The area was great, hiking spots and some good food in the little downtown. Beers at the brewery were great and everyone in town was friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
One of the cleanest and well stocked homes that we have stayed in. We enjoyed sitting down by the French Broad River. Steve and Cindy thought of everything!! Loved it and we will be back!
This lovely cabin was very clean and stocked with everything needed for a nice stay. The river seating area (across the street from the cabin) is private and calming. Take a sweater or jacket with you to the river. The hot tub is private and a nice way to unwind after a day of hiking and exploring. Be aware that after the 2024 Hurricane Helene, there is not much to do in Hot Springs beyond hiking the Appalachian Trail, but the town is friendly and accessible. Definitely dine at the Smokey Mountain Diner and hike the Lover's Leap Trail, which are both very close to the cabin. The binder in the cabin detailing what to do nearby was created pre-hurricane, so not all options therein are currently available. The road is quiet, as it virtually leads to nowhere. It was fun to walk this gravel portion, though, as we tried to find Paint Rock. We thought four wheelers would have made it even more fun (if you have some to take). The CABIN IS ON THE PAVED PORTION of the road, so we had NO PROBLEMS reaching it, and it has flat parking. The owner is friendly and helpful if you need her, but not at all pushy. Take your own fishing poles if you'd like to fish the river. For a small but packed antique store, head down 25/70 toward Newport and shop at State Line Antiques on the right and Grandma's Blessings Thrift Store a little further on the left. We enjoyed our 3-nights of star-gazing, hiking, antiquing, and relaxing. Highly recommend!
We have lived in the mountains here for many years and enjoy the beauty and serenity this special area affords. We built MoonDance River Cabin so that our guests can also share this experience and relax and be refreshed in the beauty of the mountains and river.
The location is so special by the French Broad River. It is just outside the town of Hot Springs, in a tranquil, quiet setting. It gives a great place to relax and enjoy the river, woods and trails. Come back to the cabin and sit back in the hot tub on the private covered porch and take in the beauty of the mountains! You can be to restaurants and shops in less than 5 minutes. The Hot Springs Spa is close by also where you soak in the amazing natural mineral water and have a massage. A great place to ride your bike, fish or boat. Our desire is to create a quality cabin which reflects all the charm and style of the mountains combined with the comforts and amenities to make your vacation enjoyable and a special experience.
Unique riverfront location. Just outside the town of Hot Springs with the National Forest, Appalachian Trail, white water rafting, horse back riding, whitewater rafting, kayaking, biking, fishing, etc. all at your doorstep.
