This was a super lovely get away from the city. The space was really well set up and supplied with everything we needed and so much more! We will definitely be coming back.
The cabin was exactly what we expected. Quaint, secluded, and surrounded by nature. The creek was refreshing, the kayaks and hot tub were nice to have even though we didn't use them. The only downside was the wasps on the top deck (even with the wasp spray) and the property was a little overgrown but overall good stay.
It was so nice to have such a great spot to have a little getaway for our honeymoon so close to home! We enjoyed the hot tub and walked down the creek and it was so beautiful!
The property was as advertised. All amenities you would need, very comfortable accommodations, peaceful natural environment. We would definitely go again.
My wife and I stayed in the cabin for New Year's Eve and it was absolutely fantastic. The hot tub is awesome. The firepit area is awesome. The creek is beautiful. We had all that we needed and watched football for 3 days. We took a walk at PR Junior College which was interesting. We would definitely stay there again! Thanks to the owners!
We had a great stay! Such a cute cabin with all you need to enjoy your stay. Great communication from our hosts. Plenty to do if you stay on site and also great spots in Poplarville. Just and hour to the beach so perfect for a day trip. Will stay here again in a heart beat if in the area.
The property has everything that you may need to enjoy yourself in the woods. The owners are very responsive and kind. My only recommendation is to bring bug spray and be prepared to have a great time.
Overall the stay was great. The cabin was cute and perfect for our little family. Having the river right in your backyard is great. We never ran into anyone going down the river so we really had the place to ourselves. Parts are rocky so I would recommend water shoes. The owners were great and really provide a fun getaway.
We loved our stay here. You have everything you need plus extras. Quiet and cozy. Only complaint I have is the couch/futon was awful uncomfortable. Lol Needs to be updated but we just put the cushions hanging in the corner on it and it was ok.
This was our 2nd stay at the cabin and we still absolutely love it! It rained quite a bit so the river floodedâŠdidnât change a thing. The location is so quiet, the town is inviting and the people are welcoming! We will return again, be it as guests or neighbors!
We stayed here for our family girls trip. Enjoyed Friday night on the upper deck and all day Saturday on the creek then relaxing under the cabin in the evening. We brought beach chairs, a tent, and some umbrellas to the creek along with food and music. This was my second time staying at Creekside (both girls trips) I have enjoyed my time there so much that I now want my own camp!
We wanted a getaway in nature that was in a secluded and peaceful spot with the option to rest or seek out adventure. This was a perfect fit. Itâs a mix of glamping and being surrounded by nature. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I highly recommend the hot tub and kayaking! However, make sure you are strong enough to kayak back if you go downstream first lol. We will be staying again, and next time weâll bring portable fans for nighttime to cool it down lower than 78 degrees. Thankful to have a place like this to stay at!
My husand I were looking for a,quick quiet getaway for a long weekend. It was perfect. We had a quiet weekend enjoying the outdoors. The place was clean and the kitchen was fully equipped. We will definitely book again
The host was very responsive before we even booked, answering all our questions about the property. Check- in was easy. The cabin was clean and adorably decorated. The bath tub was huge! The hot tub area was also amazing. The whole place was great. We had a question and messaged the host, to which she answered almost immediately. 10/10 would recommend for a relaxing getaway!
We absolutely loved this place. The cabin is up in the trees and the deck is wonderful especially for morning coffee and reading. We spent most of our time sunning ourselves on the beach creekside. Exploring was done up and down the creek and in the surrounding forest. We also enjoyed the hot tub. It's amazingly quiet and peaceful. It was nice to be somewhat unplugged with no worries. My entire family has asked when we can return. They said it's even better than our regular place on the Bogue Chitto.
We mostly stayed at the property but we did have:
Dinner at Perry's Seafood - 5 of us ate for under $100 and no seafood was spared. The shrimp are not fresh caught but they are delicious.
Trip to Bogalusa to go to Wal-Mart that ended with a stop at the Big Box Bargain Store and Hudson's Salvage. If you love to thrift you will love both stores.
The property is hidden in dense woods for excellent privacy. The road and bridge are close but not loud or distracting. Neighbors can be heard talking occasionally next door but not seen. The creek is clear and sandy and gets a lot of traffic from what we assumed were locals. Although we only saw 1 person on the creek, there were always fresh tracks in the sand along the banks each evening and multiple vehicles parked at the bridge. Bugs were not a problem except after a rain, and then only horse flys! Perry's Seafood in Poplarville should be on your dinner list!
