Bass Ranch, just behind Bird Island. The perfect spot for Great Bass Fishing !

Bass Ranch has all you need ! Shiny and clean with tons of space inside and plenty of fun outside!
Our place sits to the front of the property, with parking in front. The Living room with wood burning fireplace kitchen and dining area is all open in the middle and leads to the laundry area in the hall. The bath is just across with a jetted soaking tub for more relaxation and then leads to master bedroom at the end. Upon entrance to the right are stairs to the second master suite with shower.
The screened back porch sports a swinging single bed and seating for a fun board game or a round of cards or just a quiet cup of coffee as well and leads to the deck for BBQ & Flat Grilling. A short distance through the yard takes you to a fire pit with seating for cool breezy relaxation and down to the dock for more relaxation. There are 2 kayaks and a Canoe for your enjoyment and all facing the beautiful water !

Bass Ranch comes with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, TVs, a large kitchen that comes stocked with equipment, utensils and dishes for all of your cooking needs, bath towels and cloths, bed linens, Bar-b-que & Flat Iron grill with full gas bottles and cooking utensils.

All you need to bring are your personal items, food, beach towels and fishing gear!
Oh and don't forget Duck food too .... They will come to eat around 3:00.

Bass Ranch has a wood burning fireplace as well for your use. Please bring firewood.

PS... We have a private lake for the sole use of the home owners, there families and there guest.

PSS ... A queen size air mattress is available for extra sleeping.

The location was perfect for us. The house was so cute. Decorated well. And above all it was clean, clean, clean. That’s the most important factor for me. We would definitely stay here again.

Tammie is a fantastic host-very helpful and quick to respond. The property is lovely and nicely decorated with a lovely view. My only concern was that the refrigerator could have been a bit cleaner and I wish there was a shower downstairs. Overall, a great property and wonderful stay.

Cabin in Carriere

We loved our time at the Cabin! We enjoyed the kayaks and lake that we had a beautiful view of from the cabin. It was very roomy for 6 people and very remote. Super peaceful and would definitely recommend!

Lovely getaway

The house was better than expected with a screened porch & deck for grilling. It was just right for two couples traveling together. It was a great home base while we visited the area. We will be back!

Really nice place to stay.

We used this house a home base for a family work trip. It was perfect for needs. Check in and out was easy and accomidating. We have no complaints. We did not use the lake amenities during this trip due to work scheduled, but they look like fun. The screen porch was great to have as extra space.

Awesome spot an hour from N.O.

Me and my 3 kids had a great time. Kayak and canoe were top of the list. Also they loved using the real fireplace while placing board games. Very peaceful and relaxing. We truly enjoyed it.

What a peaceful relaxing weekend! This is a nice home. It was unique, cozy and clean. My husband especially loved the kayaks to use for fishing. We are definitely coming back.

Prefect way to spend the holidays

We actually ended up staying at this owner's other property, "The Cottage" which is a few houses down from "Bass Ranch". The booking didn't get updated with VRBO. We absolutely loved staying at the cottage for the holidays! We have family that lives within 15 miles of Anchor Lake, so they were able to come out and hang with us quite a bit. Everyone from our 8 year old son, to our late teen and early twenties nieces and nephews, and even my 76 year old mother in law loved hanging out at the lake house. We had a great time by the fire pit, sitting on the dock, fishing, paddle boating, flying kites, playing games, enjoying family meals, and just being together. This place is prefect for family fun! Tammie and Brock were superb hosts! From the initial booking process, to checking in during the stay, they were always very responsive and helpful. They also had the place decorated so cute for the holidays! That made it so much more special. I highly recommend any property they own, but the Cottage will forever hold a special place in my heart for the memories we made there!

Poor location for fishing, big spider!!

Sounded like a great spot to fish out the backyard, but not so much. The fishing is horrible there. Ur in a little horseshoe of the lake that gets hardly any good fishing and is over populated with turtles. Nothing nearby for food. The communication with the property manager was great until I complained about the huge brown recluse i found in the family room. Then she stopped responding. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable and very dated. Prolly time to upgrade on comfort for your guests. DONT rent, go somewhere else.

Good morning Laura, I'm so sorry your fishing vacation wasn't as you had hoped. We have 2 tournaments a year where 5 to 10 lb bass are caught and released here every tournament. I've actually been told that fishing behind Bird Island is a hot spot. Check out the photo gallery at achorlake.net for more information on fishing here. I didn't receive any other messages from you after check in but I will have the home sprayed for spiders this week . There is also a king size bed being installed with a new mattress this week although I was unaware that the one there isn't so compfy from any other guest. After Christmas Visit

Very cute and well maintained. Lake area was a little disappointing, very wet and swampy. An information journal on the house would be helpful. We searched for a lot of items without success; iron, hairdryer, etc. All said, it was a very nice stay.

Good morning Jo & John I want to thank you for your stay here at Bass Ranch. Unfortunately the land is lake level land the rains causes it to pool up until it can drain off. It usually takes a couple of days to dry up some. I’m very sorry it rained just before or during your stay. However developing a deck at the waters edge and a boardwalk to the lake has been scheduled with hopes to be completed by summer. I’m also sorry you didn’t find the iron and other items you may have needed in the closet by the laundry area and I will certainly acquire a hairdryer to add to the bathroom. I will also add to the pamphlet a list of items provided as listed on the VRBO listing for our guests convenience. Please know I always respond promptly to my guest should they need anything during their stay when ask and thank you so much for the concerned review. It was quite helpful for future guest. Our saving grace

We rented this property after our house was torn apart by hurricane ida. Tammie could not have been more amazing. The property is well kept and it was the perfect place to relax. The atmosphere is cozy and had ample room for my two daughters, sister in law, and nephew. You won’t be disappointed staying at this property or any others that Tammie owns. I will definitely book with her again! Next time it’ll be under better circumstances.

Awesome!!!

We wanted a home a little out from town and on water, this covered all of our wants and needs. There are stores and food places within 15 miles or less. The kids loved kayaking, swimming and the ducks. Tammie is an awesome host and everything we needed other than clothes and food was there. We would stay here again for sure and will recommend it to family and friends.

Extraordinary Experience!!!

I lucked up on this gem while surfing the web for the perfect last minute family vacation! Tammie was so awesome!!! I am not the type of person that typically writes reviews, but I was compelled to share this extraordinary experience with the world. This property is peaceful, relaxing, full of fun things to do, and just down right beautiful. The hostess, Tammie, was just the perfect compliment to this perfect property. She was so helpful and friendly that I will literally rent any property that has her name attached to it from now on. Everyone in my family had an awesome time. Thank you Tammie, my family and I wish you nothing but continued success!

We were so honored to have been the host for your family's vacation and I want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we tried to master the Pony Boat. Please know I have taken some " How to Operate a Pony Boat" training lessons and put together a helpful step by step guideline for future need, along with a map of the lake. I have also added more paper supplies, zip lock bags, detergents, trash bags and cans for our guests convenience. I'm so happy your fishing vacation was a success. Cozy with a side of fish!

The home was better than expected. The inside and the porches are wonderful! Everything was spotless and very well decorated with comfort in mind! We cooked every night and had absolutely everything that we needed there! The host was exceptional and her and her husband went out of their way to make our stay great! Our kids had a wonderful time and we all caught bass and catfish out on the lake each day. The water way/canal in back of the house was shallow and our kids enjoyed swimming there. The owners mentioned adding some sand out back where the water access is and that would make it perfect for the kids! We really have no complaints and had a great time! The ducks were an added bonus! This place was perfect for our 3 night stay!

Relaxation and comfort

We will be definitely staying here again. We didn’t want to leave. The comfort of this place was amazing. The bonus part was being able to fish out the back yard and enjoy boating and fishing in the amazing lake. We swam all evening right by the camp. Great place for all age groups. The camp was clean, had everything we needed and any questions we had were answered very quickly.
