This property is virtually perfect in all ways - stunning views of lake Sutherland and extremely well thought out decor. Awesome deck, hot tub and fire pit. I think this place may have spoiled us for anything else. The hosts were spot on with all of their communications and were very friendly. 5 stars all the way around!
Great house, and great view of the lake! We enjoyed just sitting on dock. The house was well stock with everything we needed. Would recommend to others. And the house very close to the park.
We really enjoyed the house. We liked being on the north shore. It made it a little easier to get into Port Angeles for food or into ONP for day trips. Lake wasnât too busy mid week. Sun was out and we were able to enjoy the dock and decks. Thanks, Randy! Appreciate your communication.
Staying here was one of the highlights of our Pacific Northwest family vacation -- my husband and 2 young-adult children. Every morning they jumped off the dock into the clear lake to start the day. I loved that much of it was in shade, and I could get sun on the dock if we wanted. Lots of peaceful nooks inside and out to relax, exercise, read, sip coffee or observe the bald eagles, which seemed to be nesting 2 properties down the lake. My husband and I took a lap around the lake in the canoe, and my kids enjoyed paddle boards borrowed from friends. The kitchen was well appointed with the basics for all of our meals. The bathrooms were spacious with plenty of storage for our toiletries. The guide to local sites was spot-on. We went to Hurricane Ridge, Second Beach in La Push, Marymere Falls, and Crescent Lake Lodge. We would definitely book this again.
This beautiful property may be a little tough to get to, it has a grandnview of the lake, direct access to the water, and is well appointed. The property is clean, well maintained, and the owners have done an amazing job of ensuring you have what you need to relax and enjoy a carefree stay. This spot will be on the too of my list next time I am looking to stay in the area.
The house is perfectly located on Lake Sutherland. It is charming and thoughtful and feels luxurious without being ornate or uncomfortable. Wonderful views, great seating areas throughout the back. All the amenities inside provided. Nicely stocked kitchen. I wanted to lollygag a day away on the property, but the property is surrounded by Olympic National Park and that lush land calls for exploration!
The views from the deck always leave me speechless. This is my favorite place to take a little trip to. The owner is very communicative and friendly. The lake was surprisingly warm despite the autumnal weather, such a gorgeous lake and so close to Crescent Lake as well! The cute house is always very clean and so charming! Always love seeing the cute fishies as well. Will definitely stay again!
My husband and I spent 10 glorious days at Randyâs home on Lake Sutherland. We always looked forward to returning every day after a long hike or a trip to town. The view of the lake and mountain range is breathtaking. The house is cozy, well appointed and well cared for. The streaming services are robust and the bed was so comfortable! Randy was friendly, responsive and made sure that we had what we needed for a relaxing stay. This was one of the nicest VRBO homes we have ever stayed in! Thanks Randy!
This was the most beautiful spot. My husband and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary trip. The hosts are SO helpful. Randy went above and beyond to make sure our trip was great. From recommending hikes and restaurants, to even jumping our car for us and watching out for the delivery of our lost luggage, we could not have asked for a nicer host. Coming back to the hot tub after long hikes each night was a lifesaver on our tired legs. And we had a blast paddling around the lake in the canoe. We loved feeding the fish each day too. It was the kind of home we would have, filled with art and relics from nature, and even some cute pets for the week. Just perfect. Highly recommend this place. We had the best time.
This lake house is absolutely stunning. There were so many artistic touches that really made the place unique. Everything was clean and well labeled. A great home base for exploring the national park and surrounding cities. Lake Sutherland was quiet, and serene. Wish we could have stayed longer!
House was located right on Lake Sutherland with an outdoor hot tub Greta for relaxing after a day of hikes. Randy was a great host who communicated promptly and gave some wonderful suggestions. House is well stocked and full of personal touches such as binoculars & a canoe. Highly recommend!
This property is really something special, pictures do not do it justice. The owners are communicative and very thoughtful. They left a happy birthday note for my husband and a beautiful orchid. This location was perfect to see the highlights of the park, if you can pull yourself away from the dock! We will be back again.
Everything was perfect!!
How are the years I have stayed at many upscale rentals.
I am very picky when it comes to cleanliness, furnishings and linens.
I have bright my own linens and bedding many times.
Luckily I did not bother on this quick trip.
I was very comfortable with everything!! This is pretty big coming from someone with a tad of ocd.
If I lived closer I would definitely return soon!!
The only note I would make is that the grocery store is about 20 minutes away so be sure to stop on your way in.
We stayed for 4 nights and had a spectacular time. The house and location are gorgeous, the owner was communicative and helpful... just an A+ across the board. Highly recommend!
I have nothing but praise for our experience at this beautiful home and property. My daughter and I came here for a peaceful retreat and were so pleased to find not only peace but beautiful artwork and comfortable accommodations. The host was WONDERFULâ really made sure we were prepared for the driveway and was just the right amount of involvedđ
Unbelievably beautiful property on Lake Sutherland. Quiet and peaceful, well stocked kitchen, and laundry room. Small home with one bedroom (queen bed) on the main level with accompanying bathroom with tub only. Upstairs is a loft with a king sized bed and bathroom with walk in shower. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the clean hot tub that overlooked the lake and mountains.
The house was perfect! The location canât be beat! We were able to explore Olympic National Park and come back to the house and enjoy the view of the lake. The hosts were amazing as well!
We absolutely LOVED our stay! This was our third Vrbo rental this year and by far the best. When searching for a place we like this cabin but were nervous about the need for an all-wheel-drive vehicle and the price was a bit outside of our budget, but I am so glad we did not let those things stop us from booking this cabin.
The house is well cared for, homey, and obviously loved. The property managers were very accessible and have put a lot of thought into every item and it shows. We most enjoyed the outdoor spaces (hammock, multiple decks, dock with chairs), featured local artwork, and the fish!
We loved our stay at the lake house. All of the personal artistic touches were so special! It was so beautiful and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and it was so nice to wake up from the upstairs room and look out onto the lake. Randy was helpful and communicative. Would stay again if we are ever in the area!
The house met all of our needs and the views are fabulous! Owner was very responsive. Close to all of the activities in Olympic National Park we spent time enjoying. We would absolutely stay here again for a very relaxing vacation in a natural environment.
My wife and I have decades in the hospitality business. I have a degree from MSU in hospitality business management, and through the years, as a team, we have helped management several well known bed and breakfasts on the California coast, in Asheville NC, and now here. As well, we are both professional artists and collectors, which shows throughout the house.
After getting to know Lake Sutherland, we waited for this property to come on the market. It's rather special. Not just the house, but the setting. Because it's on the north shore, the view out over the lake includes the massive soaring boundary ridges of the Olympics. The house, the setting, the view...wow.
This place can't be beat for: 1) Exploring the Olympic National Park. The proximity is fantastic. Some of the best hikes are nearby. Spectacular waterfalls and old growth virgin forests dripping with moss and ferns (Olympic National Park holds the worlds largest temperate rain forest). 2) Enjoying an incredible view right outside your window. Our 'wall of windows' looks out over a jaw-dropping vista of water and mountain scape. 3) Our attention to detail. 4) All the other things to do...day trip to Victoria BC from a ferry right out of Port Angeles, fishing off the dock, or chartering out of Neah Bay...it goes on and on! We are happy to help you plan your moments.
