Absolutely wonderful villa, garden is amazing and in the sun all day. Shower rooms are modern and great, always had hot water.
You feel safe there with the CCTV and the enclosed gated entrance. Cant find any fault with the property or location although you may want to arrive in day light.
We arrived at 10pm and struggled to see the small signs if it wasn’t for our observant 11 year old we would of had to sleep in the car on the first night.
Another point to make although the location and the villa is amazing if your a light sleeper take your ear plugs! The local dogs seem to be let out at 10pm and have a full vocal session all night ! But thats us brits have to moan ! But doesn’t put us off returning very soon.
Locally the area has all you need. Well stocked Conad supermarket lovely restaurant cant remember the name but its in the house book doesn’t look much but wow the food is fantastic and the staff lovely. We Struggled with the launguage barrier in general in Italy something we need to brush up on before our next visit.
As a base for touring it is ideal, easy access to Rome via train or car & easy access to Naples and Pompei. You may wish to take some Valium or a spare pair of pants before venturing onto the Autostrada or the roads in general for the first time as it is an experience in itself.
One place I would recommend is the McArthur Glen designer outlet at Castel Romano really good stores that you don’t get in the uk and the prices were brilliant.
Overall a fantastic 2 weeks in a magnificent villa we will be returning in 2020.
Thank you for the review .
I am very happy that you enjoyed your stay at my villa and thinking of coming back again .
Highly recommended. Authentic Italian experience
Our 5th . return to this beautiful villa. It was ( as always) clean, comfortable and spacious. It's appeal is that it is located away from the noise and chaos of the usual tourist haunts and set in a
beautiful , calm and unspoilt Italian valley. Easy access to the main roads and train station ( for trips to Rome, Naples, Sorrento etc. ). Excellent supermarket nearby and superb local restaurants. An authentic Italian experience . Highly recommended .
Thank you for your review,
We always keep updating to maintain a very high standard . I hope to see you again.
The very heart of Italy
The villa is sat at the foothills and is ideally placed as a base. The train station at Sezze Romano has a large car park.
The Villa is very spacious and well presented. There are numerous shops and restaurants in the area. The best restaurant by far is Da Vittorio. This is the best Pasta I have ever tasted and the owner of the villa Maurizio, phoned the owner of Vittorio’s, to provide us with a bottle of bubbles on, our last night. A great touch. This is a very rural area and a true picture of Italy. We have already made plans for a return, as we have only scratched the surface of Italy. Roma is 45 minutes away and Napoli is circa 2 hours and the costs are very reasonable. A great find, cant wait to return in the summer.

I am glad you enjoyed it.Hope to see you soon.
Lovely villa in rural location
Villa was very clean and comfortably furnished. Private garden area with nice pool and outside dining area. We loved the rural location with good local shops and restaurants particularly Vittorios good food and friendly staff. Easy train trip into Rome from local station Sezze Roma. Short drive to coast with great beach resorts which were however deserted in our October visit. Some electrical trip out problems which we know have now been fixed. Overall a great stay and will look forward to a return.
Glad you enjoyed the stay, electricity now upgraded.
Visit us again.
A gem of a villa overlooking Monti Lepini
We returned to Villa Suso for the fourth time, and loved the alterations to the house, especially the new living room area to the front, and the new shower room. We were welcomed on our arrival by Vincenzo, who passed the house keys over to us, and showed us how the new electric gates worked. The villa is in a delightful position, overlooking the mountains of Lepini, and one could hear the chorus of various animals chatting to each other during the day. Two beautiful cats befriended us and visited us while taking breakfast on the terrace. The pool was delightful and was kept beautifully clean by Vincenzo.
A range of new restaurants and shops have been added since our last visit, and we would recommend three local restaurants where the food was excellent, namely Vittorio’s, Santuccio, and Da Barbitto. There are many other restaurants to try, and these are described in the Visitors’ Comments Book.
Some of the coastal seaside towns are simply beautiful and well worth a visit. In particular Terracina, San Felice, and Latina.
We hope to return again in the future.
Excellent villa in deepest rural Italy
If you want to sample Italy as an Italian then this is the place for you. It’s a rural location but 5 minutes in the car to bars, bakery and cafes and a few more minutes to a supermarket that packs so much fresh food in you’ll be boggled eyed. Be prepared though - there is absolutely no English spoken but that’s half the fun. Lots of smiles and friendly goodwill everywhere. And both outstanding quality and cheap just about everywhere.
The coastal resorts are 40 minutes drive and deserted in October although we had a week of blue skies and 25-30 degrees. However we only went once much preferring to stay by our own pool and relaxing. It’s a very private garden and pool.
The villa itself is hidden away and very spacious, light and airey. Spotlessly clean and comfortable in all respects. Every cooking utensil you could name is in those cupboards and we barbecued in the garden every night except one when we ventured out for a pizza. The local restaurant was shut for their annual holiday while we were there and there’s not much to do in the evening. There is a good TV and DVD set up and as I have a Netflix subscription we watched films in the evenings.
As some others have mentioned and totally outside the control of the villa owner, the local dogs have a regular barking competition which bothered me but nobody else.
I did manage to lock myself out on the first afternoon so beware that the front door closes and locks itself. The keys and my phone were inside! Attracting somebody’s attention and getting the problem across when the electric gates are closed and you’re surrounded by a high wall isn’t easy but once again the good humour and helpfulness of everybody I met meant the housekeeper was soon on the spot with the spare key - so watch out for that door!
It’s about 90 minutes drive from the airport and the roads are challenging to say the least. I arrived at midday and was thankful that I hadn’t had to do that drive in the dark. I think it would be difficult to have a successful visit without a car though. Plenty of pretty mountain villages nearby, Rome is 45 minutes on the train but the station is 20 minutes drive away down the switchback mountain roads (fun or terrifying depending on your viewpoint).
All in all a great place to holiday and especially if you want an authentic Italian experience.
I am glad you had a good time even though you managed to lock yourself out!! October is a good month to relax and travel to see other small towns , especially as the weather is so warm.
This is Italy at it's best off Season.
