This nicely presented home is quite quirky with a feel of beach and Bali inside. There are 2 bedrooms in this property both with king size beds and built in wardrobes, one of the bedrooms upstairs has an ensuite, plus a double sofa couch in the lounge room. There is a second bathroom downstairs. Great sized lounge room with Balinese furniture and a TV, lounge area opens out on the deck. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, gas stove top/oven, microwave, combined kitchen/dining area.

Linen hire is not included, if guests wish to hire sheets, towels, pillowcases and have made beds up prior to arrival, there is an additional fee of $50.00 per person not included in the nightly rates or clean fee.

Seems as you may not have read the blurb on the site when booking which clearly states linen is no an inclusion, Hopefully you do realise Moreton Island does not have a commercial laundry to supply and wash guests linen, hence why it is an additioanl cost.

Great location, but property is a bit tired for the price

Had a great stay here, the unit is in a great location and well setup for a family trip, layout would even suit 2 small families or grandparents tagging along. And great that the apartments are fully self contained as food options around Tangalooma are limited and low quality. The maintenace and upkeep does seem lacking for the price. Just minor niggles that you expect the owners are on top of when charging nearly $500/night, but not enough to ruin your holiday eg. shower heads old/faulty with very low pressure, basic stock of cooking condiments such as oil/salt/pepper etc not supplied.

Combined Family Holiday

Apartment was tired and needed refreshing.Lack of instruction for appliances eg dishwasher, knobs so worn unsure what cycle or how to operate. Paid extra for linen, but wrong size for bed, too small. No blankets and multiple bedspreads for different size beds. Oven and bbq need good clean. All light bulbs need replacing, so dull hard to see even when on. Multiple broken lamps etc in wardrobe. Layout good for 3 families. The apartment was cosmetic for us as it was about 3 generations finally getting together in one place and reliving old memories and creating new ones. We have been visiting Tangalooma for 38 years and highly recommend it as a great place to holiday. We were disappointed that the resort did not acknowledge us as timeshare owners (due to Stayz booking) and our usual benefits could not be applied. Disappointing for my sons and grandchildren looking forward to the usual tinny hire (which we did but was extremely expensive). No kids club even though school holidays, no evening bingo, etc It was very noticeable the different approach by the resort from family focus to just another commercialised business… a little sad. Overall the holiday would be another we remember forever and special having us altogether…lots of great photos.

Anywhere at Deep Blue is a great stay due to the location and the apartments are huge! Some minor updates recommended but otherwise lovely.

Apartment 8 has best views.

This apartment had everything including comfortable beds, swim just out the front in the ocean and a lovely pool out the back. We will be going back again just loved our time away

Xmas on Moreton

Deep Blue 8 apartment on Moreton is in a prime location overlooking the beach and dolphins and very close to the shop and all activities. However, the furnishings in this apartment desperately need an upgrade, and although the apartment was cleaned for two hours before arrival, we still found it dirty in the bathrooms and kitchen. The third bathroom was unusable for our whole stay as there was water pouring from the ceiling above the dryer, making the room slippery for kids. The outdoor area was very dirty, we had to also clean that ourselves. The lift in the apartment block broke multiple times so we had elderly family having to walk up and down the fire escape. However, we had a fabulous family Xmas on Moreton but I definitely expected a nicer kept apartment for the amount we paid.

Wonderful apartment with fantatic views.

Apartment was spacious and clean. Great views over the water and jetty. Great BBQ. Apartment fitted with top appliances and ducted airconditioned throughout. Bonus of pool out the back as well. Do as little or as much as you like. Very relaxing stay.

The apartment was great, best views and very clean. The only think to fault was the bed in the 3rd bedroom. This bed needs replacing as every time you moved it squeaks to the stage you don’t dare move and are very uncomfortable all night causing little sleep.

It would have been lovely to have manuals - instructions on how to use the oven and dishwasher. The coffee cups were too small - we had to buy decent size mugs from the shop. Otherwise, our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

Perfect location and configuration for our party of 8

The apartment layout and location suited our family perfectly, however, for the cost, we were a bit disappointing in the quality and the standard. It could do with a bit of a spruce up and a good clean. One of the queen beds was very squeaky. The bed spreads and the couches had obviously seen better days and could do with a good clean as could the floors and the balcony, and the pots and pans. We tried using the vacuum cleaner but gave up in the end. It too had seen better days. That aside, we had a great time on the island.
