The house was in a perfect location, was clean and spacious. The garden was so small though, the pictures where clever as I imagined a big garden and it was no bigger than 10ft by 6ft..... I would recommend this property to stay in. It did have a damp smell but that went by the end of the holiday
Les points forts : Emplacement et exactitude de lâannonce
Fabulous sea views, quiet location. Fab place, just a bit grubby!
Location, a quiet cul-de-sac with sea views from the front veranda. Our favourite part. Parking outside - but no permit provided, although it didnât cause us any issues.
Beds all super comfy with new clean white linen.
Bathroom great, fab shower - slightly odd location as door is opposite dining table!
Kitchen well appointed with bbq in back yard.
Super spacious, absolutely massive place. Loads of lovely history to the building.
Lots of wardrobe space - just not one hanger!!
Fantastic neighbour, we stayed for 5nights and she was lovely.
The only downside, it wasnât very clean. Dust on all skirting boards, the kitchen was super greasy round the hob. Roof leaking in dining area and 3rd bedroom.
The checkin details from the Apt manager were out of date and incorrect, didnât feel she particularly cared when flagged.
We would however return!
The property is quite pretty and has a lovely view of manly from the front porch.
The home however has a significant mould issue with a strong mould smell in the bathroom and mould stains on the roof in several rooms. Be aware that it is also a steep walk from ferry so not suitable for older people
We stayed three weeks in this property. Great location, very quiet en next to a magnificent park. The front terrace has a very nice view over the ocean. If you don't have a car be prepared for the walks to and from Manly center and the beaches. With the height difference these can become quite strenuous when you do this 2 or 3 times a day. Keeps you healthy though ;-) We didn't mind because the Eastern Hill is simply the best part of Manly (at least, in our view).
The real negative was that the property simply was not clean. Ad dirty kitchen and cobwebs all over the place. Moreover the dining table and seats in particular are 'cheap' for this kind of property, plus the mattress in one of the bedrooms was terribly thin, literally hurting our backs.
Communication before check-in was not good (no instructions as to key collection process, no response to e-mails), but fortunately was handled well in the end allowing us to check-in after midnight without having to collect the keys somewhere between the airport and the property....
Overall: really fantastic location but with a little more investment of the owner and proper attention from the property manager, the overall experience could have been excellent. Now it was okay.
If you love old world character and charm the property was all of that. The kitchen well equipped. However the 2nd bedroom bed had sponge on top of the base and was not appropriate to sleep on. The lounge very uncomfortable in the main living room. Also some house keeping issues.eg. Dripping dust hanging off the fan, broken door knobs, the electricity tripped out a few times, rain dripped through the down light in the dining area.
We did manage to have a great time and the view of Manly Beach, no images of the views when we booked online so that was a nice suprise. Probably would not stay here again though.
