Everything is wonderful about this place, except for one thing and that's the PAPER THIN walls. I am very grateful that I only had neighbors for 1 night of my week long stay. It was like they were in my room, and they were just talking at a normal level of volume.
If it weren't for the thin walls I would have given it a 5-star rating.
Small and Expensive... but as close as you can get to Heavenly Gondola
My Husband and two teenage sons booked the Lakeside Gondola Studio for 5 nights over New Years. Fist of all ... this is the size of a hotel room not studio apartment. The kitchenette was so tiny it was useless, with no room or soap or sponge to wash a dish. Once we got over the size, we discovered the place wasn't clean. With toothpaste all over the mirror and sink to hairs in the fridge AND in the bed... animal and human hair, we were quite disgusted especially after a 9 hour drive. The saving factor and why 3 stars... The management came right away and changed the sheets and cleaned the toothpaste mess. The floors were still very dirty the entire time, we ended up leaving a day early. We also had to ask for Toilet paper multiple times as we only received one roll at a time. The only nice thing other than proximity to State Line was the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. The refund of our $95 cleaning fee and leave a bottle of wine was nice, but after paying an exorbitant amount per night that was the least they could have done. My only hope is they learned to pay better attention to their guests so this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Great for a weekend getaway and visiting out of town. Easy walk to shop and restaurants. The room was updated, clean and had a keurig! The property managers/hosts greeted us as well as other guest right at check in time. Very friendly and hospitable. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would. come stay here again!
