Fabulous and comfortable place to stay. Very clean. Everything you would need is there. Great shower! Close to everything in town, then come back to the lovely warmth thanks to the wood heater
We loved our stay here. The size and Location of the cottage was perfect for a couples getaway. The host was magnificent and bent over backwards to make sure that we had everything that we needed and gave us plenty of local Knowledge.
Our stay at the cottage was lovely. Very cosy and comfortable, even in cold weather. Great location close to the Botanic Gardens, and not far from town. Catherine was extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive - a really nice host.
The property location is excellent. A pity we stayed on the warmest day of year, there were heaps of flies, even at night. We literally only slept at the property. Daylesford is beautiful.

The property was roomy, clean and had everything you would need. The gardens are lovely and it is not too far to walk into town although a bit up hill coming back. The botanic gardens are very close
The Sunrise Cottage (1)is well appointed Cozy and warm despite the cold weather. The surrounding garden is beautiful and will visit again in summer mths Only down side was a neighbours unhappy dog Barking and whinning
Quaint cosy little cottage with a lovely wood heater & a great spa bath. Right next to the Wombat hill gardens. Only negative was the great looking but rather uncomfortable & very soft bed.
Gorgeous cosy cottage in a lovely part of Daylesford
This cottage is the perfect option for a couples' (or solo) winter weekend in Daylesford and Hepburn Springs. It's small (so very easy to heat with the Ned Kelly stove or the reverse-cycle unit!) but has everything you could need, including a very well-appointed bathroom, laundry and kitchen. It's in a quieter part of Daylesford behind the botanical gardens so you don't hear any traffic - just the birds singing. And Catherine is lovely to deal with, plus she has endless recommendations of local places to eat and drink!
Catherine was a delight to deal with and even had the heater on for us before we got there on a very cold night. The cottage is immaculately clean and in a great location within walking distance to the centre of Daylesford.
The only downside to our weekend is that the bed was way too soft for our liking and we kept rolling into the middle. There were also 2 dogs on nearby properties that barked and whined almost constantly, particularly at night.
Despite some initial communication issues regarding arrival time and check-in process we enjoyed a cosy, comfortable and quiet stay in the cottage and found it a good base from which to explore Daylsford and surrounding places of interest. Guests should be aware that check in codes that you may receive from Stayz are not reliable and neither is their description of a 'bedroom'. In fact the cottage has a studio style layout which is nonetheless cute and comfortable.
My name is Catherine and I'm a novelist. I arrived in Australia in 2003 and am an Australian citizen now. Born in London, I am bilingual. My parents were French, but also part Spanish, Russian and English.
Because I fell in love with it. I used to live in Melbourne, but I left to live here full time. I love the country, there is something sacred about nature here that seems to welcome you and shelter you. I write here better than anywhere else I have lived.
It's quiet and full of charm, but so close to the Little Smoke down the hill. Daylesford is a lovely town, vibrant and warm. One can dream here, but also be part of the community. People are helpful and friendly and never make you feel you are a stranger. I can say this first hand, because I have a bit of an accent.
