The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with everything we needed to cook meals for our family. The jacuzzi was a plus after days of hiking.
Loved the location, views, lots of space in the house. However, Bathrooms were severely outdated, and not clean. Shower curtain and rod holding in main bathroom was falling off, had to hold it. TVâs outdated- no apps or internet.Blind sticks missing- couldnât open the blinds, Otherwise- made due with what we had.Over priced for accommodations.
Everything was clean and we loved the location. The only thing we were a bit surprised about was sharing the property with another group who rented out the guest house (which is attached to the main house). A bit weird, but luckily they were very nice and we hardly saw them. My kids loved playing in the back yard with the tar games there (thank you!), but it was a bit gross that the other couple had a dog and didnât clean up its poop, so we had to scoop it before playing.
This house is lovely. It is not brand new, it was built in 1967. Keep that in mind when choosing to stay here. The house was large enough for myself and my 5 friends. Would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here for a few days with family. Loved the location but the house needed some work. The shower in the master bedroom dripped all the time so was hard to sleep. The owner did let us use the guest house to sleep but said someone was coming to fix it and never showed up. Saw in the guest book that this seemed to be an ongoing problem that needs addressed. Also, the stovetop did not work. House could be cleaned better and less clutter and more organized. Was happy there were games but then realized that they were just thrown in the closet and missing pieces. We were able to have a nice fire in the fireplace but had to buy our own wood. May have been nice if it was included. It could be a really charming house if it were updated.
The floor in the bathroom is rotted and falling through.. The bathtub was too dirty to stand in, mold and mildew around the tub, paint peeling off the walls... Watermarks and leak bubbling paint on the ceiling in the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen... Very dated kitchen smelled old and musty......thick dust on lampshades in bedrooms...dirty dog prints on the bed spread...this house felt creepy... Need a lot of work... The hot tub was clean and the fireplace was great, these two things were the saving grace, why we gave two stars instead of one, .. Otherwise the house needs some serious attention... We spoke to the cleaning crew that arrived just as we were leaving,. They said they only have three hours to clean before each renter... We suggested not tenting for awhile and repairing the house with much needed repairs and a deep cleaning.
We were pleased to drive up to this ranch-style home in a quiet neighborhood a few blocks away from downtown Sedona. The views of the red rock mountains from the front yard were awesome! However, we were not pleased when we walked inside to discover that the house had not been adequately cleaned! Every room was dusty with small piles of dirt laying around & the kitchen was filthy. We had to go out & buy cleaning supplies to go over all the rooms before settling in for our visit. The outside garbage cans were filled with old trash that had definitely not been emptied in weeks. At least the hot tub was as promised.
This house had many nice furnishings, inside & out, but it was clear that they had not been cared for in the way a VRBO home should be! Very disappointing in such a lovely town!!!
We had a great stay at this house! The furniture is very comfortable. The location was conveniently located within walking distance to Uptown Sedona, and has good views of the Red Rocks.
My wife and I grew up in Michigan and graduated from MSU. I also graduated from University of Southern California. I taught high school science for the USA DoD in Germany. I taught engineering at MSU. During my army career and my executive engineering position at Motorola my wife and I were able to travel the world and experience many cultures and environments. Thee experiences give us a clear insight into what should be provided to guests at our establishment.
This property is in the city limits of Sedona close and convenient to almost everything me and my family need and also is in a great private neighborhood.
