Great little place homely touches

Was a good place to rent just wish the elevators was more reliable. Carrying suitcase down all of the flights of stairs to the car wad terrible.

The elevators are convenient and are in perfect use 99.9% of the time. There is once a year, for a day, when the lift is out of service for a full safety maintainence check and this happened to be during your stay. The great thing is, it is only one flight of stairs to the first floor, where the apartment is located and thank goodness you only had to walk those stairs once and it was downstairs. You can always call us for any assistance that you require.

Unit was good however the mattress was very uncomfortable. The remote for accessing the car park didn’t work well. Perhaps it needs a new battery

The battery was changed immediately after your stay and is now working PERFECTLY well. Other guests have commented on all our advertised portals , that they find the bed very comfortable , one lady stating in her review so would love to swap it over and have ours and throw hers away. Mattresses are like fashion and perfume, individual choice and liking. We would have appreciated your comment on how you enjoyed the apartment, it's cleanliness, value for money, facilities, location, etc and found this much more beneficial, rather than your comment on a key that needed a new battery and still operated for you, replaced immediately after your stay, as during your stay you said not to worry about it when we offered to drive an hour to you to replace it then and there . It is unfortunate that You haven't mentioned that in your review . As for the mattress, it is a new and very good Sleepmaker brand quality mattress and a mattress comfort is very much a personal choice of opinion . We have a lot of pride in the apartment and work very hard to ensure guests have a number 1 stay, facilities and comfort and appreciate your time in writing a review.

Felt like home

It was just the perfect stay of 15 days. I felt home immediatley. Everything which was needed was there in the apartment. I loved the sunset from the balcony and adored so much my daily walk through the neighborhood with the beautiful quiet lanes and the colored trees, and loved the short distance to the beautiful beach. St. Kilda is one of the most beautiful places of Melbourne and travelling with the trams is so easy. Also, shopping facilities were in the immediate vicinity and in the same building there is a great Thai Restaurant which I enjoyed very much! I would also like to emphasize the uncomplicated communication with Rita. Check-in was easy and Rita was so helpful and the possibility of late check-out was very convenient for me. In any case, a place I would love to come back to (if Rita lets me ...).

Convenient, practical and cozy!

Had a lovely stay in this cute single bedroom apartment. Fully loaded kitchen w/ all appliances and plenty of nice extras like coffee/tea stocked. Great restaurants and bars nearby, so really only prep'd charcuterie board for dinning/prosecco on the balcony. Sunset view out over St Kilda was a great way to end each day! Host was super friendly and helpful (even as I didn't have cell service). Highly recommended.

the holiday from hell

The communication with the property owner was abysmal she wasted 30 minutes of my time with complex property details I wouldn't remember and the check-in process was extremely difficult. The place was ok but everything was musty. The TV was broken which we weren't made aware of as we had a long stay this was a real problem and yet she didn't try to do anything to replace it, horrible service. She charged us a significant fee for an early check in and somehow and a significant fee as there was "excess mess" but we cleaned so much before we left and took photos because I knew she would do something crazy like this as she already threatened us even before we had checked out we are now in the process of reporting her to stayz. I would not reccomend this apartment to other members.

We appreciate your feedback but your accuracy in the information you put in your review would be very much appreciated! Upon booking, all the terms and conditions are outlined to you which include a " small : early checkin fee, which is common practice amongst all accommodation in the area. The mess you left which incurred excess cleaning fees to the cleaner was charged to you as it as mentioned in your check in, should excess mess be left. Using a derogative term to describe me in having to charge you this fee is not respectful or appropriate and you were well informed. All guests thus far have left the property as they found it therefore the property requiring only its general post stay clean, which is included in the price of the accommodation. It is most disappointing that you should target its with a bad review , for your mishaps. Other guests are very delighted with their stay, the cleaninienss of the apartment and thank me endlessly for my hospitality and " easy yet thorough and helpful " check in information. Short, simple and concise information is required at check in to help guests have a pleasant stay with the ease of the the functionality of the apartments oven, TV, wifi, security system, hot water, etc. It is all useful and necessary information and despite us giving all of this to you, which you deem as " complex property details" and is actually very simple and easy, you still rang us endlessly not knowing how to use simple things. maybe your language barrier and communication manner was an issue of concern , rather than our management, policies, house rules and communication. We were always happy to assist you but at times, you manner and behaviour was challenging and we did our best to accommodate you and your requests during your stay. Stayz is well aware of all the communications during your stay and they have been most helpful in their direction and assistance in the matter.

Couldn't be better!

This apt. is without a doubt the best equipped and cleanest flat I've ever rented. I can't think of a single thing that could be improved, except better pictures to show it off. The location is also near-perfect, an easy walk to the beach and night life right out on Fitzroy St. Yet, it doesn't get noisy. I rarely give rave reviews, but I couldn't be more inpressed with my stay here.

We put a lot of work and time into making our apartment cosy and fully self contained, so that when guest arrive, they have the home away from home feel, with all that is absolutely needed for their stay. There is nothing they need to bring nothing but their bags. That's what makes us unique and we are so delighted this was noticed and appreciated by you! Lovely apartment!

We stayed a month in Rita's apartment and throughly enjoyed it! The apartment was neat and tidy. Communication with Rita was excellent. Superb location where supermarket, the beach, restaurants are just minutes away. Skybus to the airport is 5 minutes away. Highly recommended! Cheers

Fantastic location

A really lovely cosy flat in a fantastic location.There is a tram stop opposite the building which is so handy.A large Woolworths is just a couple of minutes walk away.Just a 10 minute walk to the beach and a short walk from there to the lovely shops and cafes of St Kilda.It is a real home from home and has everything you could possibly need to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.Also there is a lovely balcony to enjoy the sunshine.Rita the owner kindly let me check in a few hours early and sent clear instructions and details about the flat.Great to have a key safe at the property so you can just let yourself in.I had a wonderful week here.

Fabulous Apartment!

The apartment was so clean and tidy with everything you would need - we stay din and cooked a full 3 course meal 1 night! Excellent location, we could walk down into St Kilda and down the front easily from the apartment, also easily getting into the CBD with the tram line on your doorstep. Really comfortable bed and sofa, lovely apartment with views of the city skyline, beautiful bathroom with a nice big shower. Rita was prompt and excellent in our requests and thorough with information. Easily accessible apartment. Highly recommend!

Excellent Apartment

We loved staying here and Rita was great to deal with. She was very professional and friendly and quick to deposit our deposit back to us. The apartment was very clean and comfortable to stay in. Loved the location and a very close walk to Woolworths and wine shop. We had a great meal just a few doors away. Only negative was the heavy smell of cigarette smoke when we got out of the lift on the same level but once inside the apartment we couldn't smell it. A great find and would stay here again.

Great place to stay in Melbourne

This was a great place to stay in Melbourne. The unit is as well appointed and comfortable in real life as it looks in the photos. It's well set up and had all the essentials in the kitchen so that saved me money. The bathroom was also stocked with essentials. Two tram lines stop within ~ 30m from the front door.

I am happy to hear you enjoyed the little everyday essentials I leave for my guests in the kitchen and bathroom. Most of my occupants are white collar workers and international travelers, so my aim is to provide occupants with as much essentials as possible to minimise what they made need to buy, whilst they are on holiday or just popping through for a few days and yes also to save on their costs in buying items that will only get used once or twice. Good price and great layout

This is a lovely little apartment, beautifully laid out, and a very reasonable price. It is close to the heart of St Kilda and close to a tram to the city and elsewhere.

Great Stay!

Our first but not last stay at this apartment!. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and homely. Conveniently situated, with a choice of two trams only metres from the apartment, it was easy to get to the city centre or explore the St.Kilda area. Rita is an excellent hostess who was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. We recommend this as an excellent accommodation option.

Fantastic Stay!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was so lovely and clean and everything you need. Managed to keep my toddler away from all the pieces around the room. Probably a little too much 'stuff' in the room for little kiddies hands but we managed! Awesome location especially for eating and drinking. Woolworths was nice and handy and tram stop right outside the building. Have the convenience of a private car park was so handy as we had a car with us and didn't relish the idea of battling for street parking.

The apartment was very well presented and clean, full of many little amenities that made the stay easier. The tram was right outside the door, and there is a grocery store just around the corner if you aren't eating at all the great cafes nearby. Great place to stay.

The apartment was indeed chic, compact with everything you could need. The coffee and breakfasts downstairs meant we didn't explore anywhere else for breakfast. It was very handy for us, we hired cycles and explored east and west along the excellent cycleways. We would stay again in this apartment.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Chic Fitzroy St Apartment.The apartment is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of St Kilda. It's only a few minutes from the beach and pier and there is a tram stop right outside that takes you to the city. The apartment is very clean, well equipped and maintained. The balcony outside looking over adjacent rooftops was a great spot to read and have pre-dinner drinks.It was a pleasure dealing with the owner. She was prompt, informative and courteous.The only minor issue is the afternoon heat on hot days. Even with the blinds closed and A/C on, it was hard to keep the apartment cool. Although this didn't really both us because we just strolled down to the beach.

It is nice to hear you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately it was right in the middle of an extreme heat wave which is very unusual for a typical Melbourne Summer and thus made it hard for you to further cool the apartment with the air conditioner already on and the blinds down, but I can assure you it is sufficient cooling for our normal regular Summers should your choose to stay again. Having the beach only a short stroll away does come in handy on the extreme hot days and Im glad you were able to cool yourself down that way.

Absolutely loved this little place!Rita has a great little style with her apartment, much better than staying in any hotel, and also very reasonably priced.Was in a great position and easy access to trams just outside door pretty much, and lots of cute little restaurants and bars.Felt very at home and loved the supplies of breakfast cereals, toiletries,snacks etc.if you wanted to stay in easily done with comfort and great little kitchen if you wanna cook .Great coffee shop underneath with loads of little chocolate treats and patisserie items,and large breakfast for reasonable price. All in all we had a great stay and when in the neighbourhood again will definately come here.

The location is fantastic as it is close to St. Kilda's Beach and there is a long stretch for those who love running, strolling or cycling.The house is located in an area where night life is abundant and the train station is just beside.
