* Niché sur 100 acres sur le côté nord des Bucketts avec vue panoramique sur les vallées de la rivière Barrington et Gloucester et surplombant le canton de Gloucester. The Ridge offre l'ultime dans des vacances de luxe.

* La maison se compose de deux pavillons orientés au nord offrant un panorama différent de chaque pièce. Avec un couchage pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 12 personnes dans 5 chambres (plus un canapé-lit) et 3 salles de bains joliment aménagées, la maison est parfaitement adaptée pour accueillir des groupes d'amis et / ou des familles et est assez grande pour de petites conférences.

* Le Ridge est conçu avec une disposition et des matériaux solaires passifs par l'architecte primé de Sydney, Gareth Cole. Le Ridge est entièrement alimenté par un système d'énergie solaire autonome. En fait, toute la maison est hors réseau!

* La cuisine moderne entièrement équipée dispose d'un banc d'îlot en acier inoxydable de 4 mètres X 1. 2 mètres abritant une table de cuisson à gaz, un lave-vaisselle et un évier double.

* Pour votre divertissement, une télévision à écran plat LCD de 46 "avec système de son surround, un lecteur DVD et CD sont fournis dans le salon et un téléviseur et un lecteur DVD / VHS sont fournis dans la salle familiale.

* Pour vous garder au frais en été, la maison est équipée de la climatisation dans le salon, la salle à manger et la cuisine avec des ventilateurs aériens dans les chambres et les salles familiales. Pour vous garder bien au chaud en hiver, le chauffage au sol commandé par thermostat est disponible dans toute la maison.

Glorious Gloucester

The Ridge is a fabulous home! Stunning views from perfect fire pit in the evenings. Easy access to town and great spot to explore walks/mountain bike tracks. Home is well fit out with lovely linen/towels and kitchen with everything you need. Great location for a real escape.

Fantastic property located in a very peaceful and beautiful setting close to town. Property would be well suited to family groups. We brought our dog and she loved it. Fence is barbed wire so had to keep an eye on her but that was fine. Dan was very helpful and responded promptly to questions. Beds were comfy and shower amazing. Would definitely stay again

A beautiful escape

From the picturesque surrounds of the countryside, to the luxurious feel of the gorgeous home, we had a wonderful time staying at The Ridge! Highlights were - the main shower with pebble floor and great views; the number of thoughtful inclusions at the property; the fire pit (we used twice, and toasted marshmallows one night)!; the close proximity to town (can recommend the Roundabout Inn for steaks); misty morning view; cows close by and even saw a kangaroo! Would highly recommend The Ridge for a relaxing getaway.

The Ridge is well located, featuring contemporary design and off-the -grid services.

This property let us enjoy expansive scenic views over the Gloucester Valley with a feeling of being remote but in reality only a short distance from town. While at the house we spent time with friends in the 'great room' - modern kitchen, dining and lounge opening on to the covered deck with BBQ and outdoor lounge. Our winter-time visit ensured use of the fire pit and lengthy catch-up conversations each evening. Gloucester and Barrington Tops have a wealth of things see and explore and we will certainly be back for more. Ideal for groups and family get togethers.

Beautiful house in an incredible location

We had a fantastic stay at The Ridge. From the very beginning, communication with Dan was exceptional. Check-in was easy and the house was well equipped and far exceeded our expectations. We especially liked that we could bring our dogs along, the amazing shower in the main bedroom, multiple outdoor areas to relax, evenings by the fire pit, and incredible views across the surrounding areas. We all agreed that we didn’t want to leave and should have booked an extra night! We highly recommend staying at The Ridge, and will likely be making another reservations soon as other family and friends want to join us for the next stay. Thanks again for having us!

Totally awesome!

This property does not disappoint! It's a prime example of what can be achieved with a totally eco-friendly house that is off-the-grid. The view is magnificent and we did not lack for anything...except maybe some more bug spray! But we are in the countryside! No complaints! And our totally pampered dog settled in without any problems. In fact she was fascinated (and somewhat intimidated) by the cows and kangaroos! The Ridge is totally awesome and we cannot be more enthusiastic in our recommendation. Congratulations Dan on having the vision to create such a luxurious and eco-friendly house! We'll definitely be coming back!

Peaceful and stunning

This was our second time staying at The Ridge and for good reason. If you are looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city living I can definitely recommend this outstanding oasis. Tranquility, birds, Wallaroos, and a winding pathway leads you to a superbly designed house which can accommodate 2 families with ease. I love this place. Green frogs, the fire pit, relaxing outdoor setting overlooking the mountain ranges and Gloucester which is only 5-10 minutes away by car. Do nothing or do plenty with scenic drives, waterholes, and the famous Barrington Tops for those who like adventure. My favourite part was waking up every morning and seeing a different weather pattern. Some days were really foggy and other days were so clear. Being up so high felt like heaven. I’m sure we’ll see you again.

The views from the elevated position were incredible. Misty mornings, clearing to beautiful days where you can see for miles. The house has plenty of space and two wings/pavilions and two living areas - and very well set up with everything you need. Kangaroos, horses and cows all there to help the whole elegant country escape.

Terrific holiday

We were very pleased with how clean the house was and the landscape views. Along the way there were many exciting opportunities to see the cows and kangaroos around the house. We really appreciated how the price of accommodation remained consistent with previous years despite many other accommodation prices inflating due to the Covid-19 virus. Even though the Adventure Centre was closing, we were still able to enjoy nearby attractions such as the Rainforest bushwalk 15 minutes away. The Ridge is definitely a great place to relax and bond with family, with the campfire and lounge area being perfect with our pet dog. Not only was the accommodation luxurious but its location was ideal. At only a 3-minute drive away, we were able to go to the local town which had many restaurants, cafes, and a Woolworths which made grocery shopping extremely convenient. Our check-in and check-out experience was seamless, with the owner Dan quickly replying to any issues we had. Overall, this vacation home was splendid. We highly recommend The Ridge and we’re hoping we can come again the following year for the third time!

Fabulous house well fitted out. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. Dan is an excellent communicator and extremely helpful. Fire pit was great fun but you do need to order your wood. Will definitely stay again.

Magical, unique, cathartic

The moment we were approaching the house we could sense something special. The house is perfectly positioned with views as far as the eye can see. Beautiful mountains, hills, valleys and cattle await. We woke one morning to a Kangaroo outside our bedroom window with a joey in its pouch before hopping away. The fire pit was a great attraction every evening as we surrounded it mesmerised as the logs burnt away. This house has everything you really need. It also appeared to have its own weather pattern as it is so high above the local townships. We loved that the view with cloud formations, or fog/mist would continuously change never allowing the view to be the same. We loved that the property was off the grid with its own solar panelled electricity and water from the rainwater tanks. Some added surprises were the Australian King Parrots in abundance and the beautiful Green Tree Frogs which the kids adored. If you like star gazing go outside with no lights and look up. I doubt you will see more stars than this location particularly if you come from the city. Dan thank you so much for the experiences we encountered at The Ridge. It is evident that a lot of thought went into the design of the house. Well done. The biggest disappointment I suspect which most people would have is leaving. I would have liked to stay longer. A second visit is on the agenda.

Stunning relaxation

This is our second stay at the Ridge and again it did not disappoint - beautiful house, beautiful views and beautiful location. Cannot fault - love it....
