Got the job done

Very functional house with 4 bedrooms in a cute neighborhood about 1 mile from Leadville.Worked well for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids.House is pretty outdated and dusty, but we enjoyed our time and there was plenty of space for our group.

This was a spacious and comfortable property for our group. The scenery and community were great, and the house served as an excellent home base for our adventures.

Overall good but there some issues that need to be fixed. The 2 full size bedrooms lights didn’t work, kitchen lights had a couple burnt bulbs. On a positive side is that the beds were comfy and the view was great.

This property was great! My family, and I could not be happier with our stay there. We were close to turquoise lake and were able to fish with in a 10 minute drive. I would absolutely recommend this place very spacious and comfortable! Easy check in and check out. Tracy was excellent with communication.

Nice place to stay

The house is in a great neighborhood, surrounded by trees. Very close to a grocery store and the town of Leadville. Some of our family was camping at the campground by turquoise lake. It is a short drive (8 minutes) to get there to hangout with them during the day. Lots of room in the house, comfortable and had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. I will definitely stay there again.

great space for big family

This house is convenient to all things Leadville. We were in town for a family wedding and shared the house with family from across the country. Plenty of space for everyone. Beds are comfy, bathrooms are clean and lots of towels, and the kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dishes, cooking ware and condiments/spices. Overall, a perfect place for our needs.

Comfortable and Cozy

Our family stayed in this house for a week. The kitchen was well stocked. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean. The water heaters held up fine with multiple people taking showers every evening. We had all the comforts of home and enjoyed quiet evenings in the neighborhood the entire week.

Perfect for our family.

Location was great for our needs. Beautiful setting. Large family room space. Very clean. Most of the beds were comfortable. Just wished the blinds in some of the bedrooms worked. Was sad a hot tub was advertised, which was one of the reasons I rented it, but it was nowhere to be found. Would rent again.

Nice and affordable for a hiking vacation

This house is clean, comfortable and fairly well equipped for our group of 5. Everything was as advertised. There were a few lingering maintenance issues when we arrived but nothing that impacted our stay. The property manager was excellent with communication on any questions or issues we had. One word of warning, the cleaning crew does not provide a large amount of toilet paper or paper towels so be sure to bring your own.

Enjoyed Our Stay - Some Small Issues

Overall our stay was good. The house was very clean and in a good location. I like the app for all the property info. The small issues. Upon arrival, we figured out there was no A/C which was a bummer because it got warm in the house. The hot water heater was not on and would not light, so we had to attempt to contact the property manager. I called left a msg and also emailed. I got zero response. One of our friends called multiple times before reaching somebody via text. After getting ahold of someone they came out fast, but put the water temp on the unit extremely low. The property management company expects a lot of you upon your departure.

I'm not sure what number you were calling, but we leave a personal cell phone number in all of our arrival documents as well as throughout the house and in the digital guestbook we send prior to arrival. If you call or text this number, then we always respond within the hour! I will talk with the handyman about the water temp! We request upon departure that guests strip beds, start a load of laundry, and start a dishwasher load. This is to assist the housekeepers in turning the home quickly for others and is standard in vacation rentals. We hope to host your next stay in Leadville!

Pee house

The moment we walked into this property we got sick with the smell of cat urine. We aired out the house and sprayed air freshener to no avail. The only positive about the experience was that the property manager refunded us for one of the two nights (we did stay the first night because it was too late to go somewhere else). We also called VRBO and asked if there was anything they could do and despite the fact that there were 25 plus VRBO homes available that evening, they told us there was nothing they could do to help. In response, we will never rent a house through VRBO ever again. The only thing that might change that is if they institute a policy where a representative from their company checks on a property prior to us checking in to ensure that everything is clean and habitable.

Thank you for leaving a review! We did reach out to you immediately and offered to move you, but I realize that you arrived late and did not want to be inconvenienced. This is the first time we have had this issue mentioned in the home, and it has been booked all summer long... We recently had the home deep cleaned including the carpets treated and cleaned throughout. We check ALL properties prior to arrival, and our office manager did not notice any issue with the home! We will make sure to follow up and discuss options with the owner going forward! We strive to make sure all of our guests are satisfied with their experience and apologize that this was not the case with your stay. As you mentioned, we immediately refunded your remaining stay.

Needs a thorough cleaning

The location of this property is very good. The upkeep of the property needs attention. Weeds about 7-8” high greeted us as we stepped up on the porch. Garbage was in the driveway and in the front yard. The bench on the front porch was severely bent rendering it useless to anyone. Access was attained easily but please make sure you have instructions ahead of time due to very little cell signal in the surrounding area. We struggled significantly with allergies while staying in the house. The house smelled like air freshener when we first walked in. The master closet has a strong odor and is the location of all the extra sheets. The sheets on the beds smell like old cologne giving the idea that they are unwashed. The kitchen could use a scrub top to bottom. The first cup I pulled out of the cabinet had black coating the bottom causing us to wash everything before use. Stains on the carpet need scrubbing. Windows need cleaning. Both bathrooms were clean. The master bathroom is large and well laid out. The shower is nice however you must stand nose to the wall bc of the shower head they chose.

We apologize that this occurred during your stay. The home is in a natural environment, and the weeds had been treated prior to your arrival but we will look into whether the home needs a good trimming. We are having the home deep cleaned including windows and carpets. The home has been in high use over the summer already, and we have had limited time for deep cleaning. It is unacceptable that you found an y dishes dirty in cabinets, but sometimes guests put them away without thoroughly cleaning. We are having all of the cabinet utensils, dishware, pots and pans checked for future guests. It is unacceptable that you found them this way. We will definitely notify the owner regarding the shower head and front bench. We hope to host your next stay in Leadville!

What a house!

If one is looking for a terrific, almost opulent setting, you will not be disappointed in this place! Frankly, it was really more house than we needed, but the location, amenities and price were incomparable. Suggestion: if you can, use the garage. We unloaded and on a whim, I put the Durango in the garage. 30 minutes later, a lengthy hailstorm hit. We stayed in the master bedroom and the mattress was wonderful. The kitchen was very nice and we spent our free time enjoying sitting on the back deck among the pines. It’s close to downtown but feels remote. We heartily recommend this house. It can comfortably hold several more people than two, but it was a great home base for our Leadville stay!

This was a moderately great experience. House is large and property is beautiful. Only complaints were no dishwasher soap and someone opened the only entrance which was the garage and left the door open while we were gone. Great time anyway.
