Wine in Doubt, Catch a Red I - Active Winery Home

At the 'Wine in Doubt, Catch a Red I Estate’ you will enjoy a one of a kind experience, with spectacular views overlooking the Pala Mesa Golf Resort. We are a hilltop vineyard with a boutique tasting room just a few steps from the home. You can enjoy a relaxing dip in the pool or even walk over to the tasting room to enjoy our live music, wine tasting, and a bocce ball court. (live music weekends only) All our guests enjoy wine club pricing for the duration of your stay.
The 2000 sqft main house has a kitchen and living space to entertain, two large bedrooms and 2.5 custom bathrooms. The 1,150 sqft guest house, located near the pool, has two bedrooms, one bathroom (Jack-and-Jill), a full kitchen and spacious living room. The two homes are both in fenced with the pool. There are lots of cozy places to relax by the pool both in the sun and in full shade. When renting the 'Wine in Doubt, Catch a Red I Estate’, you have full access to both properties.

We are 20 minutes to Temecula wine country, Casinos, and award-winning restaurants.

A signed rental agreement is required prior to check-in. Please ask the host for more details. Please note there is a friendly barn-cat who likes to hang around the property.

This property is pet friendly (max of 2 pets), with an additional fee of $25 per pet per night, plus a $70 non refundable deposit. We also require a pet agreement to be completed. Please ask the host for more details.

Great house and location

This is a great property in a great location and with a few minor repairs, could be amazing. The round table in the master bedroom is broken and needs repair, one of the blinds in the master bedroom is broken, no hot water in the villa and the electronic lock sometimes did not work.

Perfect Location

Perfect place for a group of friends to stay for a wedding weekend. We got to hang out, play games and enjoy the pool together. SO MUCH better than staying at a hotel.

We had an amazing time and this place is beautiful! We will be recommending it to all of our friends and also plan to possibly come back in the future! The winery and the home are all impressive and immaculate!!! A great place to relax and unwind from all the hustle and bustle. Location to Temecula is perfect. We travel 2-3 times a year and this was by far one of the best vacation homes we have reserved! The communication is top notch as well as the customer service!

An exceptional experience!

Thanks again for hosting our family. It was an amazing experience from the booking all the way to check out. The house location is breathtaking, the kitchen is huge and fully stocked. There is lots of space for our two families. The beds are high end and very comfortable. We cooked, grilled and made multiple dinners. We didn't use the pool but it looks super nice. And the bonus, is wine tasting, very high quality, steps away from the house. I would love to come back very soon. Thank you 💙🙏

5 Stars - This property is a gem!

We are six ladies from the East Coast who ventured to the Temecula wine region for the first time. Wine in Doubt, Catch a Red I is everything promised in the listing and photos, and much more! Booking, check in/out processes were handled seamlessly, and the host responded to all questions promptly. This home is well stocked, has comfy beds, spectacular views, what more can you ask for? Oh yeah, and it's attached to a winery! Added bonus (for me), the resident feline who is friendly and always open to scritches! The attached casita is especially handy and well appointed. We highly recommend this experience!

Gorgeous with a few concerns

The house is gorgeous in a beautiful setting. Michael at the tasting room was fun, knowledgeable and a great host. There were some issues that the listing did not mention. The amazing view from the advertised hot tub couldn’t be enjoyed because the hot tub is out of service and has been for awhile. Internet service is spotty and only works in the living room. I would go back if problems fixed.

Beautiful stay!

My friends and I were looking for a special place to celebrate my 70th birthday, and we found this fabulous villa. Yes, it’s pricey, but worth every dollar! When we checked in, we found that the Villa sits next door to the tasting room and we had the great pleasure of meeting the owner Lisa and her manager Christy. These women immediately treated us like family, inviting us to attend one of their special celebrations and gifting me with an amazing bottle of their sparkling rose’. We were stunned when we entered the home.. it is immense with the most stunning views!! Lisa and her husband have stocked this place with every possible appliance, beautiful plates, high end towels and comfy beds, with loads of other amenities. The pool is beautiful and the property is gorgeous. This house far exceeds the ad., and we loved staying so much, it was hard to leave. Thanks so much to Lisa, and her family for the hospitality!!

House was beautiful. The view gorgeous. Didn’t like paying for people when theres more then 6 staying at the house when it clearly states it sleeps 12. Ive rented many houses and when it says it sleeps so many for a price then thats that…..not charge more. Also as adults being there, felt 9:45 was a ridiculously early time to have to be inside. Not even allowed on the back patio. I’ve heard of curfews but that made us feel like children being put to bed.

Not at All as Good as the Description

From the beginning, it was a less-than experience. I signed the contract and put the number of people in… and every subsequent email correspondence had the wrong number of people listed. No one picks up the phone if you call the management company. May call you back after leaving a message. House Cleaning crew was still at the home past 4 PM at check-in. Master bathroom, not cleaned properly poop on the toilet bowl. That made us doubt what else hadn’t been cleaned. Well, upon looking closer, the house is pretty old and dirty. Dust and cobwebs in the ceilings and under the bar. Mold on the master bedroom shower curtain. Second bedroom in main house has no closet or place to hang your clothes. Second bedroom in the main house had very gross, sticky stuff on the floor in the entrance of the bathroom. No sponge at the sink of the house When Cleaning assistance returned the following morning, was one hour late, requiring us to change pre-existing plans. Mice! Dead mouse first night caught in the living room trap. While mouse was removed by Cleaner, trap was not reset. Dead mouse in swimming pool. Dead mouse 3rd day kitchen trap. Food trashcan has no lid. Just gross. Instructions for front door keypad completely incorrect. Random strangers, lip gloss on TV shelf - clearly not cleaned there. TV remotes in bedroom don’t work batteries probably dead. NOT the relaxing experience.

Almost perfect!!

Photos don’t do backyard justice. Pool is beautiful and the views are wonderful. The house was more than big enough to accommodate us. Comfy beds, tvs, great kitchen. The wine room is connected to the property, but it was only open one of the days we stayed, so it wasn’t intrusive. The downside was the aggressive rules emails, which gave us some anxiety- like are we even going to be able to relax and enjoy without worrying about setting off the decibel reader and getting fined?! But we decided to just forget about that and have fun. We had a small music speaker playing most of the time and there was never an issue. We were exhausted by “quiet hours” so also wasn’t a problem for us. Jacuzzi WAS an issue. It was mirky green. I called the manager and she seemed a little annoyed, but sent a pool guy out. He was also annoyed. He had to drain and refill it, so we were never able to use it. The property manager never followed up or offered an apology. It’s definitely something they would have known about prior to our visit, so a heads up would have been nice. We booked the house specifically for the pool & hot tub. Also some general cleaning. There were cobwebs hanging around and I kept walking through them! And we pulled out several filthy dishes from the cabinets. Also, they have roku tv, but are not signed in to any services- so you’ll have to input your own info to watch Hulu, Netflix, etc. Overall, great time. Beautiful property, flowers everywhere, sprawling vineyards, great spot! Definitely a spot I would return to visit.

The layout of the grounds and the view was great along with the size. With all of us there it never felt cramped. We love opening everything up and letting the breeze just blow thru but unfortunately not all the windows were operational especially in the casita where it really got stuffy. Also a Kuerig along with an Espresso machine would be great. Overall “AWESOME” and are totally looking forward to going back!!!

Amazing Escape in Fallbrook

We loved everything about our stay at Wine-in-doubt. The property was absolutely fantastic (even better than it looks from the listing), and our communication with Jessica was great. She was extremely responsive to all our needs. We stayed with our family, both young and old, and everyone loved it. We really enjoyed heading over to the tasting room and enjoy the wine, which was very good. The rooms were big, the house was beautiful, and the property was top notch. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic property! It is way up a single road, but it offers incredible views, beautiful home and amenities...including a great Wine Tasting Room ( D'Iacobelli ) about 20' from the front door! It was truly "as advertised"!

My family (12 of us) stayed here for the weekend and it was wonderful! The house is beautiful, the jacuzzi was hot and had a beautiful view, the pool was refreshing and also had a beautiful view. The Winery (a literal step away) was an added bonus & they had Karaoke (who knew the men in our family were so talented). The kitchen was big enough to not get in each other's way with 5 couples. We would definitely stay here again!!
