Tammar Ridge - Plage de Snellings

Détendez-vous, laissez-vous tenter, échappez-vous…

La crête de Tammar, nommée en l'honneur des wallabies résidents, s'étend sur 15 hectares de champs et abrite des peuplements indigènes de gomme à sucre regorgeant de wallabies, kangourous, échidnas et occasionnellement de koala. Les ornithologues amateurs seront émerveillés par les rosellas, les fées bleues et les oiseaux de mer sur Snellings. Tammar Ridge offre de belles promenades dans la brousse et une vue imprenable sur la côte nord, sur la plage de Snellings, sur la rivière Middle et sur l’horizon de la péninsule de Yorke.

La belle plage de Snellings est idéale pour les pique-niques, les promenades, la natation, le surf et la pêche - mulet et saumon provenant des vagues, ou merlan et tête plate de la baie.

Notre maison a été conçue par Mark Reu de Designergy pour profiter des vues à 360 ° de la crête avec des fenêtres en vitrine en aluminium de 2,5 mètres de hauteur, une grande terrasse au nord et au sud avec une balustrade en acier inoxydable et un sol en plâtre noir. Tammar peut accueillir jusqu'à 10 personnes avec une chambre king-size, 3 chambres queen-size, un lit double superposé et deux salles de bain. Tous les équipements et les meubles sont de la plus haute qualité pour vous donner l'expérience de vacances que vous méritez!

Le prix de base est de 380 $ pour un couple par nuit, avec 50 $ par personne supplémentaire par nuit.

Without a doubt one of the most stunning locations we've ever stayed. 4 nights of absolute paradise. Omg amazing

This place is so incredibly beautiful - we had family Christmas here and my husband and I were on cooking duty which was an absolute joy as the kitchen is so well appointed with all the bells and whistles and TWO DISHWASHERS! This is such a stunning home, near a beautiful beach and the fig tree restaurant which is a must do on kangaroo island - waking up to the view of the wallabies and the beach every day was pure magic. THANK YOU!

Fantastic house in beautiful location

We loved our stay at Tamar Ridge. The views of Snelling beach and the rolling hills from the house were amazing, We loved waking up to the kangaroos grazing on the grass outside of the windows. The house itself was outstanding, with everything you could possibly need. Martin was great at communicating before, during and after our stay.

Family Friendly Luxury Wildlife Retreat

Amazing location with stunning views both of the ocean and hills. We absolutely loved waking up to a mob of kangaroos outside the windows every morning and seeing them bring the joeys up for a feed of an evening. Accommodation was pristine, felt like a beautiful home away from home with all the amenities one could need. Perfect spot for families, friends and couples get aways. Martin had perfect communication before, during and after our stay! We will definitely be back!!!!

Fantastic

We stayed 4 nights. Great views from the house, which itself has everything, is stunningly designed and user friendly. It’s a fabulous location, with wildlife everywhere and great walks. Snellings Beach is close, but it is the house itself and everything that comes with that is the real attraction. Can’t wait for next time. Great getaway for family escape from the city

Tammar Ridge is a stunning property with an abundance of wildlife. There's great internet and bose speakers in every room. Make sure you stock up well on your favourite foods and beverages before you arrive to ensure you are well nourished while there. Pack your slippers (or Ug Boots) for cooler nights and be prepared for 20 mins of driving on gravel road on your way in. The property is in easy reach of the more adventurous parts of the island and was perfect for our family of older teens and adults.

Perfect location and amazing views

Great stay and would love to come back again soon. Absolutely stunning location and the interior is high quality. Our family went for a long weekend and fell in love with the views of the hills and the Ocean and felt at home in a modern and comfortable interior. Would highly recommend a stay!

Fabulous stay in an amazing location

We had a fantastic family stay at Tammar Ridge. The house is amazing - set on the top of the hill with amazing views to Snelling Beach on one side and views of the countryside on the other. Kangaroos and other wildlife greeted us every day and it was magically peaceful and quiet. The house itself is beautifully built with quality fixtures and fittings. Everything you need for your stay is located in the house. Martin was also great to deal with and had fantastic communication skills. I would highly recommend a stay at Tammar Ridge.

Beautiful property, excellent layout of the house and everything was clean and well looked after. The views were magnificent of the ocean and the hills from every room and we were even lucky enough to watch a storm roll in which was a real treat! Master bedroom was a real sanctuary with floor to ceiling glass to make the most of the view, highly recommend :)

There are not too many places in the world where you can wake up and watch kangaroos out the window from your bed or just be generally blown away by the view while making breakfast. The house is spacious, clean, modern and well stocked; the location is just breathtaking and Martin is a great host

Once in a lifetime stay

Martin was fantastic to work with from start to finish. The house was exactly as promised and very clean. Location is excellent to escape from the more populated east side. The location provides close access to most of the natural beauty on the west and north sides of the island. This property is an absolute must stay if you are coming to Kangaroo Island.

Stunning in every way!

One can only describe this house as ‘Divine’ and the location and view are beyond stunning. I rented the house to celebrate my 40th Birthday with my family. We were blown away from the moment we arrived. The house is designed so well and we all just loved our stay so much. The location is the best on KI. The wildlife surrounding the house was lovely to wake up to every morning. They stayed all day which was a real treat. The kitchen was the best stocked one I’ve every come across. We used the BBQ almost every night. Bedrooms facing the sea were simply awesome but other bedrooms with the country view also fabulous. Bathrooms really functional too. A stay here will not disappoint and I’m already planning my return visit! Also highly recommend doing a private dinner at The Shearing Shed on Snellings Beach. I celebrated my 40th birthday dinner here and had the most amazing evening! Thank you Martin for allowing us the privilege to stay in your beautiful home. This is a truly special house on a gorgeous island.

Amazing house, views and wildlife

From the first moment we arrived we knew we were in for a treat from sitting watching the kangaroos in the evening right by the back deck to then find an echidna by the front of the house, this house has absolutely everything you would want or need for a wonderful relaxing holiday. The views are amazing even when the weather isn't clear. We will definitely be back, one of the best places I have stayed!!

Incredible house in the perfect location

We stayed with 3 adults and 4 children aged 4,6,8 and 15. The house set up was perfect for us. One family was from Germany and having the kangaroos on our door step was an absolute highlight. The house is very well equipped, one of the best I have stayed at. The views are breathtaking. And the location was perfect for exploring the whole island. We would definitely come back here. I would just have a not for parents with young children who are visiting in the summer months that the back bunk bedroom gets a lot of light so if you need your kids to sleep before 7/8pm you may want to consider bringing some dark plastic or fabric for the windows. : )

The house with a view (to die for!)

This is a beautifully positioned and presented property with views to die for. The kitchen was fully equipped and nothing was overlooked (including the indispensable Nespresso machine). What we loved...the views, the views and the views! Oh and then there was the wallabies, the easy access to restaurants at Stokes Bay, the beach and all the creature comforts! It’s a great base from which to explore the island. It’s a beautifully designed house and feels very much like a home away from home. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. We didn’t have the best of weather, and would have loved to have spent breakfast lunch and dinner eating on the expansive deck (with those views) however, snuggled up inside and watching the changing weather with a good red wine was just as entertaining. A place for all seasons.

Sensational KI north coast

What a stunning place. Remote but fully equipped, great views, great secluded beaches, easy access to all the attractions on KI. Would stay again for sure.
