Incredible stay at Snelling’s! Views were incredible and peaceful. The home is as pictured with updated, lovely furnishings. The host provided all the basics including beach chairs, towels and a wagon! The home is secluded so go prepared with food and drink. Everything was perfect!

Another Wonderful Stay At Snellings View

Snellings View is a beautiful property. The view is breathtaking. Kangaroos appear every evening by the dozens on the hills and right outside the porch. The accommodations are warm, bright and like new. It has big windows to maximize the amazing view. This was our second time staying here and we just loved it. Can't wait to go back!

The most stunning accommodation I've ever stayed!

The location and the panoramic view from the top of the hill were stunning! We were welcomed by several Kangaroos and even encountered a wild Koala family. Millions of stars were shining in the night from the balcony where we could lean and gaze just 5 steps away from the bed. It is surrounded by the absolute beauty of nature and we'll pick the Snellings View for our future stay option in KI.

Stunning!

What a beautiful property in such a stunning location! The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed to cook a meal & we much appreciated the coffee pods before heading out for a big day of fun. The beds were so comfortable and bathrooms spacious and we were thrilled to wake up one morning to a little Roo family outside the windows. Highly recommend allocating a full morning or afternoon to relax on the deck and take in the beauty of the surroundings! Thank you, Nancy for a wonderful stay!

Amazing experience!

Our stay on KI was the highlight of our two week trip to Australia! Waking up each morning to the most amazing views! The kangaroos that come all around the property every morning and evening were so fun to watch. I didn’t need to communicate much with the owner as there was so much proactive communication to share everything with us way ahead of our visit, even sending us links to many info guides to the island attractions. Definitely would recommend this property.

fantastic location well appointed property

great property the only negative is the battery size for the property... we had two power outages (one planned, we were not notified by the caretaker) the battery ran on both occasions overnight when we were using no power???? we had no water to do... well you can imagine, then we were blamed for running the battery out!!!!!!

Wow...this place is very special

This property is simply beautiful. The views are spectacular. It's beautifully furnished and extremely well-equipped and is exactly as described the property description We had three nights in the 'East Wing' and just didn't want to leave! It's certainly remote and best suited to self-catering (particularly in the evenings when driving is tricky with all the kangaroos) but this is a delight in such a well-appointed kitchen. Snellings Beach is a four minute drive down the hill and was like having your own private beach. Don't miss Stoke's Bay either with the secret entry to the beach through the gap in the rocks. Emu Bay was also great for lunch at the Lavender Farm.

Beautiful property in tranquil setting with fabulous views

We shared the West Wing with our friends but had the whole place to ourselves as no-one was in the adjoining wing. The accommodation was perfect - modern, stylish, clean, comfortable and with nice 'beachy" touches. The view is outstanding across the hills to the beach and the ocean. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay - the kitchen was well-equipped, lovely Ligurian honey products in the bathrooms, beach towels and blankets. The caretakers, Sue and John, were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the run down to the beach and the challenging uphill return! Kangaroos and black cockatoos and a curious goanna gave us a wildlife experience! It is well located for trips to Seal Bay and Flinders Chase National Park. Two alerts for first-timers: make sure you book the ferry trips well in advance and stock up with food and petrol before coming to the Island.

Has that 'wow 'factor!

Incredible views and a warm, comfortable space made this property a perfect island retreat. The gas fire was a cozy touch, and the place was very well-resourced with everything we needed. We loved coming back after a day of exploring. Would definitely recommend and hope to return one day!

Best accommodation, we didnt want to leave. Spectacular view (from both bedrooms and main area), wildlife, the serenity, the set up - faultless. The only problem was, it was hard to drag ourselves away to see some of the sights of KI. Next time, we're not leaving

As Childhood friends Jenny and I had shared many wonderful holidays together with our families, adventuring to wonderful destinations around Australia. We were forever on the hunt for the ideal accommodation for two families of three and four children respectively, and this was always a challenge. We needed space to share together as well as needing space to be quiet and calm as separate families.

We had enjoyed many wonderful Kangaroo Island holidays together and voted Snelling Beach as our top spot. Ten years after our last trip we revisited K.I. and found the land atop Constitution Hill overlooking Snelling Beach was for sale. On a whim and a prayer we decided to form a partnership and build what we had always wanted to find on our combined family holidays, and Snellings View is the result.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Snellings View is a beautifully appointed beach house that consists of 2 separate 2-bedroom homes (view layout map) connected by a central reception-style entrance.

The East Wing and the West Wing can be rented individually for 2 to 6 people, or together for up to 12 people. Each luxurious wing contains a queen size master bedroom with ensuite and a second bedroom with queen size bed plus a single bed with a trundle (converts to Queen bed). The trundle option is mobile and can be moved to create the best configuration for your group. The second bedroom also has a private ensuite.

Each wing is best suited for a couple, 2 singles who need their own room or 2 couples who each want private facilities. Each wing can also accommodate a family with 2 adults and 2 children sharing a room, or a family with up to 4 children.

Two families, larger groups or a group with private room requirements will require both homes. We encourage you to contact us to discuss bedding configuration so that you can make the most of your time and budget.


Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The layout is perfectly suited to any one. From group family holidays, a get away for just the 2 of you or ideal as a destination for 2 couples.
The building is architecturally designed to maximize privacy, to capture natural light and to benefit from the temperate sea breeze.

Snellings is a family sanctuary. Our families love to spend days swimming or fishing in crystal clear aquamarine waters. We savor dining on fresh produce on the spacious balcony or in our private outdoor entertainment BBQ area. We explore Kangaroo Island’s myriad of wonderful attractions from protected conservation parks and caves, to Birds of Prey exhibitions, being entertained by the Sea Lions or the seals, or being mesmerized by the starry nights unspoilt by the any light pollution and watching the sun rise over the ocean are just a few ways we while away our Kangaroo Island sojourn. Plus lazy days just sitting and watching the grass grow or the eagles soar!
