Thanks Peter. Actually there are lots of channels. Your son ordered sports channel that wasn't necessary for 22$ without asking me. The hockey game was available on a regular...free...channel and i mentioned this to him. Had you looked properly on the guide you would have seen it. I actually paid for it even though your son offered because he was nice and also let him do laundry 2x which was not included in price ;) I would have appreciated your comments during the stay not online as I made many allowances to include several parties and a tantrum by his teenage son at 8am in the house and the driveway that woke up the neighborhood. I also let you check in hours early to provide groceries upon his arrival. I would have appreciated these kinds of comments instead on my kindness and extra help.

These guests were especially demanding, and difficult from the very beginning. Complained about the currency which I do not control as is in the currency of whatever country the guest is in when booking and the cleaning fee which is in line with the size of the house and location. Unbeknownst to me one of the cleaning staff had an accident and ended up in hospital hence a few things missed downstairs...ie few dead bees(?) and an untouched bday cake in the freezer ...which I might add was an area the family wasn't supposed to use...hence his discount (not because of USD!)...but the house was very clean as always. What had happened was explained to the guest the very next day after check in when the prop manager went over as soon as she heard to have a look. They were very rude to her and said they didn't need her to do anything and were mad that she woke them up at 9.30 am!! The PM would have no way of predicting their time zone adjustment but seemed there was no pleasing them no matter what was done to help them. I told the guest..weeks prior to his stay... to call, not text the PM while I was out of country but he didn't and then complained about not reaching her. Instead he chose to contact me at 5 am Xmas day. In re-washing already clean linen of the entire house for 5 hrs! they were rough on my dryer and broke pieces off of it as the lint tray was not secured properly and melted leaving it unusable. He did not offer me a good review for the deposit. That is not true. What he has also failed to mention is that he was refunded his deposit, as luckily for me and him, the damage somehow fell under my warranty. HIs deposit was always on hold until this was resolved. Air hockey equipment however has not been located and was set out on table before he arrived. He mentioned that he was part of a large financial company and had no use for my things. Most all my guests are lovely people and enjoy my home and compliment on its cleanliness and comfort etc so this was especially upsetting situation for everyone over the holidays... I stand by my reviews and my excellent team over the past 4 years!

Unfortunately this guest wasn't keen on the 60's bungalow style and I'm not sure why he chose my house in the first place given photos are provided in the ad. He has confused an older home with one being in need of repair. My house needs no repair and, if it did, I would have expected him to contact me during his stay which he didn't. What did need repair, however, was my tv/internet after he disconnected cords and didn't put back together properly and all the garbage & mess he left behind. No one has ever said my basement is musty as it isn't.

Unfortunately this is the first that I have heard about this! I'm so surprised. It's unfortunate as had I known I would have referred them to another property. So strange that I was not asked one question about this before or during the stay as I would think important to know. I indicate clearly in my ad that there is a lower level which of course has to have stairs. I also send a msg to guests at booking or inquiry encouraging any questions they may have to avoid any issues later to make sure they have a nice stay. I'm very disappointed this guest did not communicate to me instead leaving a review blindsiding me. I also stock my house generously and 10 rolls should have been more than enough for 4 people in 3 days...but as well, had I known, I could have reimbursed them or replenished quickly.
