We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The unit is a perfect jump off point for travel to many front range destinations. The apartment, while compact, is very comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed for basic meal preparation. A bonus - the hostâs garden is gorgeous! Lynn is a great host and provided a lot of information about the area. Weâd definitely stay there again.
It was a perfect getaway in Northern Colorado. The apartment was as cute as described including the amazing garden area. Lynn's poetry was a nice touch to go with all the artwork. We also enjoyed how close this was to the downtown area with the great local restaurants - completely walkable.
Sometimes one just needs to find a quiet and comfortable spot to be. This stay was just that! Excellent host, beautiful place and easy to get anywhere in the area.
Thank you Lynn. I plan to stay again.
The gardens are absolutely beautiful ⊠so peaceful to sit on the little screened in porch and listen to the water in the tiny pond. I could relax in the cozy apartment and the bed was very comfortable! It was record heat outside but the air conditioning worked very well. loved it and will definitely stay again
What a great place to stay! It's located central to some amazing places to visit. Lynn is an amazing Host and was very communicative and her Gardens are beautiful surrounding the house,
We have to say the bed was so comfortable, not the norm in other rentals for sure. a good nights sleep makes for happy visitors,
We'd come back to her Little bit of Heaven!
I just had my third stay here. I keep returning to this safe, quiet, cozy retreat because Lynn makes the experience perfect in every way. Highly recommend for single female travelers like me!
The property is very cozy and comfortable. We felt secure in the space. The host, Lynn, is wonderful! She was very accommodating and concerned. The home garden area is beautiful and relaxing. We hope to stay there in the future!
Lynn, Thank you for making us welcome and comfortable.
Impeccably clean, quiet, near everything I needed, restful and an absolute delight! Lynn's artistic and nurturing touches can be felt throughout her sacred space and garden. I could have crawled into the comfy bed and stayed forever.
Beautiful gardens in the backyard. Apartment was clean, comfortable, and the location was good. Had a few questions and owner responded quickly. Recommend this property!
Thank you for letting us stay. Your home and garden were both beautiful. The garage apartment was just what we needed. Very very clean and perfect for cooking a little if we wanted to. Thank you again and we will certainly stay here again if we are in Colorado.
We loved staying at the Loveland Guest House. It was clean and cozy. Communication with Lynn was easy and quick. The house, screen porch, and gardens are beautiful. It is so relaxing. We want to come back in the summertime to spend a few more days and enjoy the screen porch and garden area! The location is perfect. We recommend highly!
It was a nice little place. We could have used a larger refrigerator to freeze our ice packs for travel. Had to hunt down the bathroom towels. Needed a kitchen towel. But overall, a pleasant place to stay. The garden was fabulous.
Lynn has created a beautiful nest to explore the area! Walking distance to town with locally owned restaurants, shops, and a movie theater. There is a lake also within walking distance. Short driving distance to Fort Collins and Estes Park. The apartment was well appointed to take care of all our needs. Lynn had coffee and muffins waiting for us when we arrived. The sitting area has a water feature and the garden is gorgeous!!!
Very chic, comfortable and clean housing. A Provençal atmosphere with eclectic, mystical relaxing garden surrounding the property.
Enjoyed a cup of coffee and beverages on the deck overlooking the front yard, and the super quaint, comfy rear porch was wonderful.
A very zen like feel from the gardens in the rear of the house was very welcoming, accented by the water features.
Convenient location and walking in to town a big plus.
Lynn was very easy going and conscious of our schedule as we had some changes. Very pleasant to deal with.
A must ...we will be back!
My husband I stayed here durning an extremely trying time with a traumatically ill son. Lynn bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and easy. She was very caring and kind. We stayed for longer than 3 weeks so we had a lot of things, including two bikes which we were able to keep in a secure garage. The gardens were serene - which was just what I needed. Loveland is a lovely little city. We were within miles of the the Medical Center of the Rockies which was very convenient too. We will never be able to thank Lynn enough!!
We absolutely loved staying at Lynn's place in Loveland. It was very quaint and really allowed us to relax and enjoy our recent engagement. Lynn is a wonderful host and we felt very much at home here. It was great enjoying our coffee on the 2nd story porch in the morning where our guest house was located and it is just a quick walk to main street so we enjoyed being in the action. Lynn's garden is amazing and we were thrilled to be there during the spring so we could see everything at their peak. At first I thought the kitchen was a little small and I wasn't sure how to use the electric stove, but once we read our welcome letter and learned of the grill outside we were grilling and enjoying the scenery in no time. We would recommend Lynn's place to anyone and hope to visit again one day.
Thank you Lynn!
Warmest,
Brooks & Brooke
From the description and pictures I had thought the place was on the first floor since it had a deck and gardens. I could hardly walk on the last 2 days there because of the stairs impeding my plans to walk around other areas, as I have a metal ankle. Also I had thought we would have the place to ourselves, but the owner lives on site in other part of same home. It was a little put off to have someone possibly watching you. We didn't smoke in house or even on property outside (which is odd) but did elsewhere out in alley way but felt as if we couldn't enjoy ourselves even in garden as much if we had had a complete place to ourselves. The owner Lynn was very nice and friendly, also would supply what you ask for, it just wasn't what I had expected in general. The bed was comfortable and couch as well, but there are only hard chairs with nothing to put feet up on to take swelling down from feet. So if one person tries to stretch out on couch the other person is uncomfortable. Needs more comfy chairs for more than one person staying there. After all this I could rent my place for a fortune if anyone wants to come to Cleveland as I would have amazing amenities and complete home with great backyard and less demands. Still since I love the Larimer Cty area so much I would still recommend this place for someone with less cares for privacy. Next time I plan on staying between Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs because it is the way I remember the Colorado I used to know when I used to live in Loveland which has become too tourist area like Estes.
I booked this listing as a present to my fiance for his return from the military. I loved the garden from the pictures and let me tell you, it's gorgeous in person.
The home owner, Lynn, wasn't present for the first day, a very kind woman named Annika showed us around and helped us with finding the parking spot. She even gave us a nice welcome basket Lynn had set up for us with wine and snacks.
Something that isn't shown in the listing is how small the inside is. It wasn't a problem for me, and luckily it was just us two which made it much more cozier and romantic, but my fiance had to duck in most of the house since he couldn't fit lol. If you stand above 6'1, you might have some difficulties.
Something else to mention is that the listing says something about a hot tub, but I couldn't find one on the property. I wasn't interested so I didn't speak to Lynn about it, but maybe it was put away since the weather is getting colder.
As mentioned, Lynn does live on the property, however, the listing is separate from her part of the home, and you have complete privacy.
The home had everything we needed, Lynn has various items available such as soap and utensils, we were even able to use the grill on the patio and enjoy the beautiful scenery while eating dinner!
Overall, I would give this listing 10/10, we had a wonderful time, and the beautiful garden and great amenities made it worth much more than I paid. Thank you again Lynn for such a great weekend!
I am a full time nurse practitioner working in the field of Cardiovascular Surgery. I am an avid gardener, working towards total Xeriscaped landscape here in our desert climate. I am also a performance poet who is very active in our art world combining poetry and art and music. I grew up in Oak Park Illinois, my family is mostly all still in that area, and I go back to visit as I can and they come here also. I live in the adjoining home to this guest property, and have owned this home since 2001, spending all these years bringing it back to it's 1937 character but also adding my own personal statement to it.
This is in the heart of Loveland, it has great walking areas, and I think you will truly love the time you spend here. I bought this property in 2001, and saw its potential! I have taken this home from a home that had things added on it over the years, back to its 1937 character, and it was on the Historic Home Tour in 2011 as a Venacular Depression Era Home with a lot of unique features. I have made it my own by adding a lot of artistic flare.
The garden in the back yard is perfect for resting from an active day. On a beautiful morning or afternoon or evening you can enjoy sitting out on the deck and enjoying a meal or just listening to the active wild life that comes into the garden to feed on the hundreds of plants that provide food and shelter to them.
