This was the perfect place to stay! Convenient to everything Waikiki including the Zoo, beaches, shopping, restaurants and bus stops. The room was compact but had everything I needed including a small fridge/freezer combo and a microwave. If you stay here, make sure to check out the 10th floor balcony- the perfect viewing spot for watching sunsets and fireworks. Would definitely stay here again.
This property is located within walking distance of many attractions in Waikiki, yet it's been a quiet room during my stay.
I would definitely stay again!
A perfect location if you want to be close to all that Waikiki offers. Located across from the zoo, close walking distance to the beach, bus stops, and many restaurants. We had a win stay!
The room & hotel location were perfect for my needs this trip. The Waikiki Grand staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Joyce & David (VRBO host & owner) were so nice & responsive to requests. I would definitely book with them again.
Everything was conveniently located close to property . Beach was about a block away , parking was tight not good for suv. Room was small , but great for my husband and I .Had a small issue with bathroom toilet and host was very responsive quick to take care of issue. Only con was bed was really hard and our backs where hurting. I would definitely stay again.
Parking is always a great challenge in Waikiki. Kapahulu Avenue is the closet location to the largest amounts of free parking in Waikiki and only one block from the beach
The place was clean. Parked at the zoo via hourly rates. Some parking on the street near the beach but fcfs. Would stay here again. Room was small but was only there to sleep so didnât mind.
You canât beat the location! Very easy to book this perfect room. Has a microwave, refrigerator and toaster. Everything needed. The hosts are super communicative. There was a hiccup with the locking mechanism upon checking in but we got through it! Iâll definitely select this location again.
Weâve stayed at this hotel previously and enjoy the location. Communication was great with only a couple hiccups. The biggest downside to our particular room is that there was a window AC unit that was blocked by a wardrobe in the room. Unfortunately, that meant that air wasnât directly coming into the room. we had to get a fan to try to angle the air into the room in order to keep the room cool. The room is small, so donât expect a large hotel room. And unfortunately, we got a room that faced other buildings this time around. But for the money spent and the location, it was all well worth it.
Les points faibles : Emplacement et exactitude de lâannonce
Not comfortable
Bed and pillows too hard; no bathroom sink - had to use kitchen sink. No instructions on heating oven. Metal pots can not be used in the microwave, too big for other oven. No stove. The TV would have been great, but the cable kept freezing about every 15 minutes. Patio okay, if you like the view of other buildings. One of the elevators was under repair the whol time and the other one was iffy.
The Grand Waikiki is a lovely smaller hotel that is less than a block away from the Beach, across from the Zoo. The hotel is clean, everyone is super friendly. It has an amazing view from the sundeck on the 10th floor. There is a pool, restaurant on the main floor. Just make sure to bring ear plugs, our unit faced the back of the building and the running of air conditioning units was awful. That was my only complaint. I would recommend this hotel and would return in the future. You can park at the hotel for about $27.00 per night or free parking on the other side of the zoo which we did for most of our 2 week stay. Enjoy
Love the location and the suite is great.
Wish they provided Beach Towels, if people take them or lose them, the owner could deduct the cost from the deposit.
The set up and check in, was easy and well laid out. Keyless door a big plus. My unit was clean and neat, kitchenette had everything I needed and more. Really appreciated the Brita water pitcher too. Property Manager, Joyce Lignell was awesome, providing some tips on the area. She was easy to
Communicate with too. Thank you Joyce!
Just minutes from the beach! Super convenient because it was located near Monserrat where we nearly parked every day for free, we could walk to most places in Waikiki, and ABC stores just below for stuff we forgot. The studio came with a beach chair, floatie and beach mat which was nice. Basically had everything we needed + basic pantry. It was also very clean. Only wish there was a full length mirror for getting ready. Also there wasn't much ventilation for cooking. The AC is kind of loud as well.
While the location of this condo is great, the condo itself is underwhelming. The shower pressure is extremely low, the refrigerator barely keeps food and drink cold, and the bed was uncomfortable. Plus, there was a minimum of towels and soap, and I ran out of soap. There were many other little things that were missing since it wasn't a standard hotel room. Believe me, you are much better off booking a traditional hotel room than you are using VRBO/Homeaway.
This unit is really all you need! Only a minute from the beach and lots of food choices all around. It may look Small in size but Very clean and well equipped. Joyce was a pleasure to communicate with and both "check in" and "check out" were seamless! Gary & Judy , April 2018
Aloha my name is Dave. I own a 30 acre Ranch on the North Shore (Hauula). I purchased this condo/studio years ago and have recently remodeled it with new granite countertops and cabinets. My field is in construction and I love to travel.
The Waikiki Grand Hotel is indeed a convenient location in Waikiki. I bought this room to have a place in town since I live on the North Shore. When I'm not staying at the condo I offer it for rent to others who are traveling.
