So relaxing. Lovely comfortable house. Great books and music, beautiful views, bracing walks along the beach with our dog, cozy log fire and super helpful homeowner and caretaker - thank you Marie and Daisy â€ïž
We had such an enjoyable stay at Dunmanus Cottage in early August. The view from the house is enough to lift any spirits and there is so much to do and see in the area that the hit and miss weather didn't dampen the fun at all. The house is really clean an well equipped with everything you could need to have an enjoyable stay. Three large bedrooms with lovely comfy beds, with lovely views of the garden or bay. The house has a lovely garden and patio. Maire and Daisy were fantastic - offering lots of support and checking in and being really accommodating for our 1.30am arrival. How brilliant to find milk, butter, bread and local cheese in the fridge to welcome you. Maire has provided information on lots of things to see and do and places to eat. A great find and such an enjoyable stay at a perfect location to explore this part of West Cork.

What a beautiful sunset you get to look at every evening.
The sunset was an amazing view from the garden whilst we sipped a glass of wine after a long day at barley cove beach which was 30 minutes away in a car. The house had absolutely everything you would possibly need . The owner clearly thought of everyone.
This house was built by my great-aunt in 1968, as she planned to retire after a lifetime nursing in London. The house was built to enjoy the view from every room. As a child, I visited a lot and inherited the house in 2000. We renovated the house and brought it up to modern standards and have won a 2018 EHHA Award for one of Best Nature Tourism Houses in Europe. We want to share our Tig na Failte ( Irish for House of Welcome) with you.
* Summertime is about the views of the bay and the area with meals on the patio. * Winter time is about stove lighting, central heating and a cosy house. * Great base for exploring West Cork and Kerry. * Private garden with gate to keep children off the quiet lane.
* Private site on a country lane with great views of Dunmanus Bay. * Tucked into the side of the hill, we are protected from the prevailing winds in winter. * Peaceful house, with music system, wifi, office space as well as a living area. * Sit and watch the ever-changing views of the Bay at any time of the day. * Relax in the private garden, safe for all the family, the flowers for cutting and apples for eating. Feel part of the landscape of West Cork.
