Dear Roy, thank you for coming to us this summer and for choosing our house. We are happy that you had a good holiday. In fact, our cottage is in a wonderful location, immersed in untouched nature. The swimming pool is indeed a shared space. We are very sorry to read that you didn’t know it. In our presentation it is said that it is a common space. For sure, if it had been a cottage in such a lucky location and an exclusive pool, the price would have been much higher, as you can imagine. Anyway we’re sorry about that. Instead, we are happy that the house was perfectly clean as you write. We always recommend it a lot and Tiziana is very good. Thank you very much for recommending more comfortable outdoor seating. Thank you for writing that Ornina is a place to discover! Perhaps it is the most important thing that travelers, who do not know the Casentino, want to read if this region is an unknown place for them. It is true what you write: the pool is really comfortable and everybody likes it. Our panoramic pool represents for our guests indeed both a place where to spend the whole day with one’s own family, and a moment of relaxation after a day trip in the cities of art. It is also true that the house is rustic and still has the original structure of a typical Tuscan farmhouse that makes the atmosphere a bit 'old'. It is also its charm. Hallo Kristina, ich habe deine Bewertung gelesen und freue mich sehr, dass dir die Landschaft um Ornina und der Pool gut gefallen haben. Was das Haus betrifft, tut es mir leid, dass du es vernachlässigt fandest... Das Haus ist zwar alt, aber wir kummern herzlich darum. Wenn du dann die Probleme mit der Spülmaschine, dem Toilettensitz oder dem Moskitonetz gemeldet hättest, hätten wir versucht, sie zu beheben. Riccardo erzählte mir, dass du nur berichtet hast, dass während eines Sturms Wasser aus dem Kesselabzug fiel. Er fragte ob die Maschine funktionierte: er hat das Problem ganz ernst genommen. Als gewusst, alles regelmaessig funktioniert, erklärte er, dass dies in älteren Häusern nicht ungewöhnlich sei, aber es habe keine Probleme mit dem Kessel selbst verursacht, und das sei das Wichtigste. Dear Briony, you can't imagine how happy and proud we were of your lovely review. Sometimes, when reviews like this come in they are the crowning glory of the work that goes into making our guests feel welcome in Ornina. Maybe from our ad you don't understand how spacious the estate is, how much peace and freedom there is and how special is the location of the pool because many guests are surprised by these things. In fact at Ornina there would be no need for air conditioning, as you say. And if you say so, you had a very hot summer too! However, we will install it in September because perhaps some guests would prefer to have it even in a place as high up as Ornina. It's true, although the pool is designed for four families (two in the cottage where you were staying and two on the farm above our property, which belongs to our nephew Marco, was it not clear in our ad?), it's a large, comfortable pool and no one is taking away the freedom of the others. Unser Haus ist einfach, aber wirklich im authentischen Stil wie früher die Bauernhäuser waren. Die Stärke ist, neben der allgemeinen Atmosphäre der dichten Natur, die uns umgibt, sicherlich das Schwimmbad, wie Sie betont haben. Danke Ihnen herzlich! Es tut uns sehr leid hingegen, dass die Fliegen Sie gestört haben. Es war ehrlich vor einigen Jahren schon passiert. Auch in diesem Jahr hatten wir zwei Wochen, in denen die Fliegen leider anwesend waren. Trotzdem war es überhaupt nicht feucht und außerdem gibt es in der Nähe keine Tiere, Tierfarmen oder ähnliches ... Schade! Vielen Dank für Ihr Kommen und wir freuen uns auf ein baldiges Wiedersehen. Unnötig zu sagen, wie schön Ihre Worte über den Sternenhimmel sind, der Ihnen in Erinnerung bleiben wird. The Casentino is just as you described it: natural and beautiful and the excursions, the walks in the park are still quite unknown to the people who visit our region. Lieber Rainer, lieben Dank für Eure nette Bewertung. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass Ihr alle einen schönen Urlaub in unserem Haus verbracht habt. Ja, es stimmt, unser Haus ist ein strategischer Ort für Ausflüge und für den Besuch der Kunststädte. Es tut mir leid, dass Ihr den Garten, den wir vor dem Haus in diesem grünen Bereich eingerichtet haben und der mMn eine Atmosphäre der Intimität schafft, etwas ungemütlich fandet. In der Tat ist das ein Bereich, den wir wegen seiner Geräumigkeit gedacht haben, um das BBQ vorzubereiten. Ihr könntet alternativ unter der Loggia zu Abend essen, die direkt neben der Küche liegt… Das finde ich auch eine schöne Ecke. Wenn Ihr jedoch zurückkommt, werde ich Euch den Hausteil (bzw. die Hauptoption) ‚Elena‘ anbieten, der einen riesigen Garten direkt vor dem Haus hat, mit all dem Platz, den man sich wünschen kann. Dearest Fay and Peter, thank you for being with us in Ornina. Massimo and I have just read your review. We deeply regret that your holiday in Ornina was so disappointing for you . We always do everything possible for our guests from around the world , who want to visit Tuscany, so that they can fell well in our estate. We value the tranquility, calm , enjoyment of nature, the simple but genuine things. We have no great pretensions but we know that our guests come to us to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Many of them have been coming to us for many years. This is a great satisfation for our efforts. You can understand that your review was of course an unpleasant surprise. A complete surprise because in the last twenty years we have been always making our best to improve our acceptance in Ornina. We know that our house is not a luxury thaing, it is not a villa but prices prove it. Nevertheless, we offer our guests a great seriousness, a great care, a great passion and -but this is just luck-, it does not depend on us- we offer them the beauty of the location and nature. We are very sorry that the oven was broken, but you shoul have write that we offered you soon an electric oven that could replace it. Of course, it was a smaler oven, but you had not to renounce, you remained not for a week without oven. Massimo and I are also very sorry for the shower which did not work well, but if you had told it to us we have could soon phoned to the worker and reapit it immediatly. The best thing would be perhaps if you could let us know that it did not work. It could thus also avoid the damage to the wall and Massimo and I would be very grateful to you. What the horseflies concerns, we are fully aware that they are annoying but when there are those rare muggy summer days, one can not avoid them!! Especially in the countryside . And yet we are not even animals! It depends only on the climate.There were really extraordinary days, they really have shaken the earth with the earthquake and the shocking changing.
