Two days in Edenburgh and this was the best location. Close to the castle and numerous shops, restaurants, and bars! Accommodations were perfect for family of four. Would recommend and would stay again! Listing is accurate in that the stairs can be tricky with large luggage as it is three flights up a winding stairway. We managed with our carryons and backpacks.
Fabulous two night stay to celebrate our daughterâs university graduation. Derek, our host, was incredibly helpful and we loved this two bed apartment with views over historic Grassmarket. We ate out but the kitchen was well stocked and very spacious. The location is bustling and can be noisy at night but worth it for being in such an iconic part of Old Town.
Interesting and comfortable stay at this location. Great for walking to interesting tourist sites and all the special hidden treasures of the area. Flat was beautiful and a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. Lots of eating options close by.
Great stay. Location was central and not noisy. Communication with host was timely and correct. Apartment lovely and clean and bright. Would definitely stay again.
I was happy to pay a little more and stay so close to the action in Grassmarket. We had to use UBer /taxi very little because we could just easily walk to everything. And, it was so fun to look out the windows and think about all the history in that spot. I highly recommend!
The location, size and comfort of the apartment were excellent. As noted by other visitors, it is up stone stairs two levels from the street, so might not be suitable for some travelers. We enjoyed the busyness of the lively Grassmarket area.
A great home base to make memories in Edinburgh! Loved the location and the people watching! The apartment was comfortable and spacious. The hosts were responsive and gracious, It was loud on Friday night until 11 pm with music from the patio at the restaurant next door - didnât bother us as some of us were up and the ones sleeping were so tired and sleep with white noise anyway.
Fantastic apartment, in the heart of the city. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs literally at your doorstep. Also a quick walk to the royal mile. The castle can be seen from the bedroom windows!! The apartment itself was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!
Really nice place and fabulous location but be aware that the winding stone stairs that go up 3 flights have handrail. Not good for seniors. Very organized and welcoming space.
Stayed with some friends to watch rugby at MurrayfieldFlat is in a great central location.Lots of bars and restaurants near byNothing bad to say about it5* experience
Close location to castle and tons of pubs and attractions. The apartment was clean and beds were comfortable! Nightclub next door was definitely noisy at times but not too bad. Would definitely recommend!
Our stay was very comfortable, and pleasant; with lovely surroundings in the apartment. The owners offered guests biscuits, Scottish toffees and milk for tea&coffeevery thoughtful and generous. We were entranced with the view down onto the Grassmarket. Thereâs an excellent hot shower and plenty of space to relax. We were there during the weekend, which was especially difficult due to the cafes music until 1:00 AM. The noise from the courtyard behind the building was a lot to deal with because restaurant staff were emptying trash between 12 and 2 AM. As the description states, The walk up to the 3rd floor is extremely challenging for folks, especially if you have hip or knee issues (There is no railing). We got our quota of daily exercise!
Our stay here was absolutely amazing. From location, to the condition of the property, to the small details such as biscuits, tea and milk we had an absolutely delightful stay! I would highly recommend here - such an excellent location close to everything and really great communication.
An amazing apartment in the heart of Old Town Edinburgh. Apartment was clean and is way bigger than what it seems in the pictures. Really lovely stay and super great host - easy to speak to and replies straight away.

"As a family we have used self catering properties around the world for our own holidays and know how important it is to make sure that when you arrive you are not disappointed with your choice of holiday accommodation. The two main areas of disappointment that we have found are location and standard!
The apartments that we offer are situated in Edinburgh's no 1 historic tourist street and area being the Royal Mile and Grassmarket. Our apartments are maintained and cleaned to a very high standard exactly as we would want to find ourselves when going on holiday.

Great views up to Edinburgh Castle. Farmers market every Saturday at Castle Terrace about 5 minutes walk away. Antique and interesting market stalls in Grassmarket most weekends. Great selection of shops and restaurants within short walk of apartment. History everywhere !
