We had a glorious week here with our 3 teenage children. The villa is very comfortable and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Fabrizio was very helpful whenever we needed anything. It is close to the lake and the pool is lovely, so you can find lots to do or just relax at the villa. The only things I would highlight are that the WiFi is quite unstable and not great (but this didnât bother us at all) and the downstairs bedroom (master bedroom) does not have air con. It has a fan and this was fine for us but could have been less comfortable had we arrived a week earlier when it was 38 degrees! But overall I would high recommend this lovely vial and we would definitely come back!
Toller Aufenthalt, sehr netter Vermieter!
We have just had 10 fantastic days at this property. The property itself is isolated and is situated on a fairly large piece of land, surrounded by olive trees. There are great views all round.
The house itself was clean and well presented. It had wifi and sky TV (which was obviously all italian but I was able to access netflix and there were other apps on there you could log into for those unable to speak Italian). The two rooms upstairs had aircon, the one downstairs had a fan. The kitchen is well equipped so we were able to make meals easily in the house when needed and loved eating outside under the veranda.
Pool is fantastic, but worth noting (for young kids) there is no shallow end, it is all about1.5m depth. They had floats and armbands when we were there that were available for my kids to use. It worked out great because not being able to stand forced them to practice their swimming!
The local town, which itself is really nice, is a 8-10 minute drive up the hill where there were a couple of supermarkets and restaurants. There is lots to see and do in the local area (with a car).
The chap who owns the property was really nice and came most days to clean the pool and water a few of the plants. Not intrusive at all, didn't stay long so wasn't an issue for us. He was also able to provide recommendations.
Some tips:
- Make sure you are happy with the location of the property before you leave. For some reason my sat nav aimed at the local town, not the property itself. That might just be my phone playing up but worth checking to avoid getting frustrated on arrival.
- A car is a must.
- We had to pay for the electricity used on departure in cash (100 euro). I assume it was because of the aircon we used in the rooms. This wasn't an issue for us as a previous reviewer had also said this, so I was expecting it.
In summary, if you want to have a peaceful and restful holiday, this is the place to come! I can highly recommend it.
This is a lovely house in extensive and beautifully-maintained grounds. The pool area is particularly good, with a spectacular view up to Bagnoregio on the opposite hill.
The kitchen is well-equipped and the rooms/bathrooms are decorated to a high standard. A/C in two upstairs rooms only. Fabrizio comes every day to tend the garden/pool - and to test my rudimentary Italian.
A car is essential. There is a supermarket and some restaurants in Bagnoregio, about 15 minutes drive away. It's not too far to drive for days out to other surrounding towns.
There is a cash surcharge on departure, I'm not sure what this was for (80 euros for a week - we didn't use that much electricity!) but I mention it because you'll need to keep some cash handy.
We very-much enjoyed our stay and would recommend a week here.
