This was the perfect location for the two of us for our 3 day ski trip to Vail. The Christiana employees are so accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The walk to the ski lifts is less than 5 minutes, too! The condo is right across the street from Vail Village which is great for shopping and restaurants. Guests have access to the hot tub at the main Christiana Lodge-we used it! We would highly recommend this property to anyone, and we will definitely be back.
Stayed 3 nights in this adorable studio apartment. It was perfect. Location was unbeatable. Bed was comfy, good shower, and if i had the time I could of cooked a full meal in the kitchen. I didn't even know there was a heated pool I could of used at the Christiana lodge...that would of been nice. Would stay again.
3B was a great home away from home for our family of 3. Setup like an efficiency apt with a great deck looking out over the creek. Only thing to be aware of is it is down stairs so while no issue for us just noting for any ADA needs.
We left a ring in the unit after departing. The office/front desk called and informed us they had it before we called them. They quickly mailed it to us. Great service.
The condo had a great location and was well stocked with kitchen utensils. We really enjoyed our stay except for the bad mattress. The mattress sagged on both sides with a ridge in the middle. It appeared to be a very kid mattress.
My most positive comment about this property is, it has great proximity to the village. But the unit is tired and needs a refresh, especially in the bathroom. The floor mat needs to be replaced and when I used a âfresh towelâ for the first time, it had what I initially thought was blood on it. It was actually several streaks of what Iâm guessing were rust stains. I canât comment about how well the kitchen is outfitted because we never used it. The most aggravating experience was getting access instructions to the property. They never arrived so as we were driving up to Vail, I was scrambling to figure out how to get the information. With no contact number attached to my booking, I googled the hotel. The manager had no knowledge of us arriving and was inquiring whether I had received confirmation that the booking payment had been processed. When I confirmed payment had gone through, he said he needed to contact the individual who had taken the VRBO reservation, as she had left for the day and was leaving for an overseas trip, the next day. He said he would call right back. In his defence, he did later say that he had several people checking in which slowed his response to us. But it was frustrating since we were underway with no idea what was happening and whether there was actually going to be a place for us to stay when we arrived. I called 3X over a 40 minute period and he finally picked up and mentioned all the people checking in. He eventually tracked down the person who had done the booking and then we made arrangements to pick up the keys. After he and I hung up the phone, I then received the email with the check in instructions. What was irritating was that there were no sensitive check in access instructions that couldnât have been sent upon confirmation of the booking. This unit is affiliated with a small hotel and standard hotel check in and check out instructions applied. It wasnât as if we were waiting for a code for a lock box. The manager was waiting to give us the keys and we made our way to the unit. After unloading our car, we dashed out to eat. When we got back after 8:30 pmâŠthere was no wifi information in the room. There is very little signal in the suite and it seems a bit silly that there isnât something left in the room with the wifi password. Unfortunately, the front desk closes at 8:00 so we didnât get wifi until it opened the next morning. OverallâŠnot for us.
We lived our stay at this cute little condo in the Village! Very convenient for skiing and getting to shopping & restaurants. Appreciated that parking was included. The unit itself was very cute, spacious and well kept. We had ski gear, three adults, and an infant and it did t feel cramped at all.
It was located a block away from Bridge Street (straight up Bridge St is the gondola). Very cute and convenient.
Unfortunately the closet doors were very difficult to open and close. They were old and kept coming off the track. Also, the top lock on the left window was broken and kept falling off when you opened it. The sofa bed was so bad, we couldnât use it. The mattress desperately needed to be replaced. Although housekeeping isnât usually available in a condo, it was offered here but they didnât seem to do much but take out the trash. They took the used towels but didnât replace them.
Everyone was nice at the Christiania. The unit itself is located right next door to the washer and dryer (it says Furnace Room on the door). The washer is standard sized and is $1 per load. The dryer is free. You will need to supply your own detergent. You can get little boxes and change from the Christiania front desk which is about a block or so away.
It was so convenient to the slopes, we skied every day and had amazing weather and snow. We were thrilled with the location and it offered everything we needed during our stay so we were happy.
This unit is part of a charming little resort and I would definitely stay here again. They had everything you needed for a comfortable stay - a perfect cross between hotel and vacation rental. Cannot beat the location, only short walk to Gondola and the main resort building has a hot tub/pool and ski room so you can leave your ski boots and boards even closer to the lifts. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I'm already planning on coming back with family to stay in a larger suite. Vail bus stop right outside the unit to easily get around town.
At Christiania at Vail, your comfort is our first priority. The Vail Trails Chalet is a cozy building situated along the banks of Gore Creek in Vail Village. This property offers convenient location, just being a short walk from Golden Peak and Gondola One.
