A very nice cottage in a lovely position.
A very nice cottage in a lovely position. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay there. The pro of the beautiful location is countered by the con of few local amenities as you would expect. There is a pub, The Wellington Arms, but it is a car journey to get there and there are no local shops- the closest we found were in Launceston or Camelford. There is a petrol station on the main road ( a car journey ) that may sell milk etc but we didn't investigate it. Would recommend a stay there but thought it would be helpful to give a heads up about what you could expect to find locally.
It is located on a beautiful stretch of coastline and there are plenty of places to visit. It is approximately one and a half hours drive to the St Ives/St Just area. If you are taking a dog, note that your outside allocated area is not fenced off and so your dog would be able to run free ( there are chickens loose!) If you have a well behaved dog that stays close then that is fine; if not be aware! The land lady is on site which is helpful and she has two very hospitable dogs called Ned and Percy!
