Wow,what a lovely bungalow with stunning views, just across the road from the beach! The bungalow had everything you needed, beds so comfy and a lovely dining room where you can all sit for breakfast or dinner.Ideally located for places such as Tintagel or Boscastle or hop on the bus from the stop opposite to Bude!Karen was a perfect host answering any questions we had!It was nice to sit in the conservatory and watch the waveâs rolling in onto the beach!Opposite the bungalow is a cafe if you donât fancy cooking!once again thanks for a wonderful stay!
We had a great stay, the photos donât do the views justice - the conservatory looks over the beach, with the car park opposite. Itâs a really great location for watching the tides, sunsets, people, surfers and dogs! The beach is dog friendly and provides an amazing sounds of the pebbles turning in the tide at certain points of the day. The house is dated but clean, simple, perfectly adequate, space for two cars and a garden for dogs at the back. We didnât want to leave!
The property exceeded our expectations! The location couldnât be better - spacious bungalow overlooking the sea, with magnificent sunsets. The home is well stocked with all you need and the beds and pillows were very comfortable - very often a concern when we book a holiday home - spacious front and back garden with plenty of space for the children and our little dog. Very useful washing hanging area for wet towels and wetsuits! We were delighted with this lovely property.
We were helped with a dry week and mainly sunny days. Very good beach just yards away - location was fantastic and conservatory was better than photo suggested although one of the windows has condensation issues and was one of the three main viewing windows. Being only two of us we rattled a little in the house, but it would comfortably take 4-6. For any budding surfers this location is second to none - although we did not partake! We certainly would consider a second visit with rest of the family.
We have stayed in many home and away properties around the world and have never been disappointed however with this property was disappointed. We were told due to Covid19 the property had to be vacated early as needed a deep clean. It certainly wasn't deep cleaned before we went in we met the one lad and his mop cleaning. The glass in the back door was broken on arrival the dish washer had dirty crockery in it. There was a dirty j cloth in the twin room down the side of the chest of draws. The storage heaters are rusty in the room with the bunk beds. The carpets in the bedrooms are dirty and the carpet in the conservatory under the mat was bits of carpet tiles. Very disappointed with the cleanliness and how shabby it was. The artex on the lounge ceiling Is flaking and hanging down. The wicker chair in the conservatory was broken underneath and as we wanted to use it me husband repaired it. It was a shame the property was so poor as the location is great a short walk to a beautiful beach, the outside shower is great for showering off after being in the sand. The use of the boogie boards kept in the garage was a bonus. This could be a good rental if it had been cleaned throughly and given a lot of TLC. I wouldn't recommend this property in the poor state of cleanliness and repair.
My husband and I stayed here recently, fabulous location directly across the road from year round dog friendly beach & beach cafe, 5 min walk from local general store Who also stock a fresh seafood counter. 8min walk from Bay View pub. I would suggest doing the weir walk to weir cafe, appx a easy 2mile round walk. The house itself is spotless, well equipped home. Completely gated dog secure front and back garden. I would highly recommend.
Seven of us stayed in this property and it was beautiful the pictures on here dont do it justice we have triplets that are 4 yrs old so space is a must so that they can play not only was there space but there was two cuboards filled with toys for then the owner was lovely and the location was beautiful we had a lovely holiday five star placeâș
This is the first time we have stayed in a self catering bungalow so were a little apprehensive. I can safely say that all our fears were unfounded. The bungalow was spotlessly clean, really well equipped and in a fantastic location opposite the beach and cafe (which sells the nicest pasties we found!). The views were stunning with some lovely walks along the cliffs and beach as well as a lovely country walk through the field 5 minutes away. Thank you also for the lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated on our arrival after a long journey. We have every intention of returning next year, this time for 2 weeks!
We stay in cottages at least three times every year and I can safely say that this is the best located we have stopped in . Right across from the beach , the view from the conservatory and dining room is beautiful . Thank you to Karen for the lovely welcome pack it was much appreciated on our arrival . The house was warm and cosy and the beds were comfortable and had very good quality quilts and bed linen. You couldn't have needed anything else the house was so well equipped . The garden was very dog friendly and well fenced our dogs loved it ! . There is also an extensive range of toys, dvd's and maps at your disposal. We enjoyed our stay so much we hope to return again , thank you for allowing us to take our dogs , and thank you to the cleaners the house was beautifully clean on our arrival. I cannot recommend this property enough it is a wonderful place to stay
I couldn't find any reviews when I booked so was a bit concerned. I needn't have been, the website does not do this property justice. The conservatory on the front overlooking the beach is perfect, we took elderly parents who could still watch what's going on but stay in the warmth of the bungalow.
You come out of the front gate, cross the road and you are on the beach, it really is that close. We stayed in October so don't know what it's like in the height of the season, but really hope to go back again.
Easy walking distance to the Bay View Inn, excellent food and BIG portions, also near to small shop which has locally caught fresh fish every day. There is a very nice cafe on beach car park directly opposite the bungalow.
The bungalow is very well equipped, very comfortable beds, good quality linen and towels. Plenty of space and seating for up to 7, Wi-fi was a godsend, and secure gardens for our 2 dogs to enjoy.
Bungalow was very clean, everything provided and worked! Strongly recommend to beach lovers, we watched plenty of surf schools which seem to cater for every age from small children to seasoned veterans.
Definitely looking forward to a return visit.
