Host of the cottage was excellent met us on arrival showed us around and left us too it which was great. The cottage was exactly as described and so well equipped with a lovely gesture of Welsh cakes and tea left for us.Such a peaceful location and as per read reviews no signal or wifi which was a bonus complete peace and quiet. We were visiting for a family wedding but I will love to return and explore the area.
Lovely little cottage , situated in beautiful surroundings.
Lovely little cottage , situated in beautiful surroundings. If peace and quiet is what your looking for, then this is the place for you. The only downside (if your a techno freak) is that there is no internet connexion and only one spot in the garden that a phone signal could be found, and then only a breaking signal , but must admit, that was part of the pleasure , feeling somewhat cut off from the world. Once travelling of course, and out of the valley, you can connect with the outside world...if your desperate !

A bijoux holiday cottage but very comfortable and with a spacious, sunny garden.
A bijoux holiday cottage but very comfortable and with a spacious, sunny garden. Too far from town to walk if you want to eat out but the kitchen was reasonably well equipped and we had no problems cooking for ourselves. The owner is friendly and helpful but you need to be comfortable with 2 very friendly dogs in the shared courtyard. If distance from town isn't an issue this is a great location for bagging Welsh hills.

This property was perfect for us as we wanted to be in the think of the countryside.
This property was perfect for us as we wanted to be in the think of the countryside. The property had everything we needed, although an iron may have been useful. There are limited shops and restaurants in the neighbouring villages but what was there was great. The locals were really friendly and always happy to chat.

This is a lovely snug, cosy cottage, ideal for walking and visiting local areas of interest.
This is a lovely snug, cosy cottage, ideal for walking and visiting local areas of interest. We had a lovely week at the end of October, visiting National Trust properties and exploring the local countryside. The cottage is tastefully furnished and very comfortable. A real get-away-from-it-all holiday.
Mark Evans the owner was most friendly. The cottage was in a lovely position and we were very comfortable and after good days out enjoyed coming home to Gamekeepers Cottage.
Beautiful little cottage, perfect for a relaxing peaceful break.
Beautiful little cottage, perfect for a relaxing peaceful break. Cottage was warm with all amenities needed, surrounding areas just stunning with amazing walks on your doorstep.
If you want a complete break from modern life, this is it, no wifi signal unless your out in the garden.... just perfect!
Comfortable and private indoors, wouldâve preferred more privacy in the garden as the weather very hot but the location very beautiful and the owners were lovely
Very basic accommodation . Just about big enough for two people.
Main drawback is the so called shower which was no more than a hand held shower head connected to the bath tap. There was no shower screen or curtain so the bathroom was liable to become soaked. The bath was poorly sealed to the wall leading to water leaking down the wall into the ground floor . There was no hand hold so the whole set up was a safety hazard .
The oil fired boiler supplying hot water was vented beneath the kitchen and bedroom windows which gave rise to some mysterious odours when running.
That aside, the area is very scenic and the local people were friendly and helpful.
Had a most enjoyable time in the cottage. Very welcoming with welsh cakes and fresh flowers. Cottage was homely and warm. Kitchen worked well with freezer, fridge, microwave and good cooker provided. Also the bedroom was very comfortable with plenty of storage. Use of the garden at the side of the cottage was much appreciated. Surroundings of the cottage was very peaceful. Owners were very warm and welcoming. Would very much recommend Gamekeepers Cottage.
Great location the only problem is the large house in front of it, which is advertised as being for
Great location the only problem is the large house in front of it, which is advertised as being for large groups. Large groups produce large amounts of noise.
Brilliant in every respect. The owners are lovely people. The location is superb. The cottage a delight. It's our favourite to date, and we've stayed in quite a few. Plus our very own Red Kite thrown in for good measure. In the words of the old song, "who could ask for anything more?"
